Im so sorry about the review below, they put this all over the place... every website... crazy....

let me tell you how things went for me.... My daughters christening was a fairy tail.....Brian the owner helped me he was amazing with some talent!!!! My CENTER PIECES were on this high tree bottom with a ball over pink roses.. everything went well... and everything was delivered and on time.... I guess everyone has different opinions but this is the only bad review I noticed they have.... I went with my gut and I was right!!!! I could nt wait to use them again I recommend them to all my family and friends!!!!

I booked Kelly at Distinctive Floral Designs for my March 2013 wedding. Let me start with the positives: the day after the wedding we received an entire refund of our money in cash, no questions asked. What happened to us probably hardly ever happens, but if your money and your day is important to you then you might want to read on and think twice about booking with them.

In short, the florist was 4 hours late to my reception. Set-up was supposed to begin at 6:00pm. Thanks to a guest who wanted to take a peek at the reception hall during the cocktail hour, we discovered there were no centerpieces. By around 8:00pm, the reception hall was somehow able to contact Kelly. We were told they were 15 minutes away. By 9:00pm (after the party already started), still no flowers arrived. By 9:45 (towards the end of dinner), they finally showed up. We were told by Kelly that the drivers did not know how to work the GPS. This should have been a 30 minute drive (the reception hall was off of Jericho Turnpike, where Distinctive Florals is located). I also had 170 guests, almost half of whom did not live in the state of New York, who were able to find the place with no problem. What made me the most angry however was that 1) Kelly never called me or the reception hall to tell us they were late or lost and 2) Kelly was not there (as she told me and my mother she would be) to set up.

When they finally arrived, I was very tempted to have them turn around and go home. I wasted the first hour of my reception in near tears, anxiously looking at the door waiting for them to arrive. My parents missed most of the cocktail hour and parts of the reception trying to get in contact with Kelly. When we let them in, the pieces were set up completely wrong. There was no flower petals scattered on the tables, no votive candles, and the candle display that was supposed to be on half the tables were randomly and haphazardly placed (not at all what it was supposed to be). I also paid extra after my sample viewing a few months prior to add more pink flowers. What I got instead was a whole bunch of cheap, white filler flowers. If you looked close enough, you could count a couple of pink roses on one hand. I wish I could upload images so you could compare what we got to what I ordered and saw at my sample.

My parents met Kelly the very next day. She had no answers as to why they were 4 hours late, why she was not there to set up, why the flower arrangements were wrong, and why she never called the reception hall to let them know they were late or lost. I would strongly advise against using Distinctive Florals for any affair. If you do, do not pay for the flowers in full. Final payment should be made after the delivery. Also, have in writing that management will commit to being at your even to supervise the set up.

I hope what happened to me does not happen to you.
