Steve has been awesome. I originally signed up for a personal trainer to hold myself accountable to get to the gym. I found the training sessions fun and I am able to do routines that are not boring! Going to the gym by myself, no matter what, I always fell into my "safe routine" and getting bored and eventually stopping all together. I now know some cool workouts that get me excited about working out. One night I was feeling frustrated and Steve took the time to call me and talk me through some of my hang ups and developed a plan to help me reach my goal. So far so good... the experience has made me feel better mentally and physically.

I have been working with Steve for a little while now, and i feel better about myself after each training section. Steve has pushed me in ways that i would have ever pushed myself. I am not the "normal" Person who loves to come to a gym and work out! I have spent most of my life Dancing for exercise, cause thats were my heart is and will always be. So when i joined the RAC, I did it simply because i "needed to do something" as we all say, I never thought that i would look forward to my "Training" day each week. With that said it was Completely Steve who made me feel that way. Steve has been the type of Trainer thats more like a friend. He dosen't sit there and jude, or make you feel bad about yourself, NO hes the complete oppsite of that. He laughs and jokes with me to get me through the hour, and is always saying "you got this". while reminding me of how it was when i strated, to show me frist hand where i have come from. If you looking for a Trainer that is down to earth , extremly educated and easy the work with, Steve's your MAN! Just NOT durning my hour! lol. If i should leave you with one things is i love when i say "OH GOD!!" to an exercise. And he says "no Steve!" makes me laugh every time.

I have been a member of RAC since 2005. Choosing the RAC was the best decision I've ever made. They have a huge selection of classes. I love taking Breaniece's Zumba class. She is always so full of energy and her classes are a lot of fun.

I've been training with Denise Mitchell for 2 years. She is an amazing trainer. She pushes me out of my comfort zone and gets me to do things I didn't think I could do. She always asks every week how my nutrition has been. She shares recipes with me and gives me ideas on new ways to prepare my meals. Denise inspires me to eat healthier and train harder. She is amazing and I would highly recommend her. I love the RAC and I love Denise!!

I have been a member since 2007 at the RAC, I have been very satisfied with my experience and results while I have been a member. My favorite classes at the RAC is 5am spin classes on tuesday/thursdays and power pilates. My personal trainer Danny is great at pushing me to work my hardest and getting me to reach my personal goals. Mason has also been a huge help in the past two years in getting me to reach my goals and always pushing me to work harder. If you want to get motivated and work with great staff visit the greece ridge RAC and ask for Mason or Danny!!

I attend classes 4 times per week and have seen great results in the 5 months I have been a member. Jen has great energy and Breanice instructs the best hip-hop style zumba I've ever attended.

I was a member of a different local fitness club for several years, and had become disenchanted by the lessening of classes available, older equipment, dispassionate staff and general lack of facility upkeep. I wanted more for myself and my money. On a whim, I checked out the RAC while at Greece Ridge Mall. I was warmly welcomed, and introduced to Geoff who gave me a tour of the facility. I was impressed! The area was well lit, the equipment was the newest available, and the Club and locker room was very clean. And most important to me, I immediately picked up on the easy, friendly and non-judgemental vibe of the place. No pressure! I sat down with Geoff and signed up for a Fit for Life membership on the spot. The Fit for Life membership also allows me to work out at any of the five RAC locations.

I started working with Briana as my personal trainer a couple days a week. Briana ROCKS! She is very knowledgeable, friendly, easy to talk to, and a great motivator. Briana assures that I am exercising and using the weight machines with the correct form, and is great about explaining why form is key to better toning and real results. In the past, I was intimidated by all the weight machines, but working on them with Briana has made them a lot less scary. I love her!

Since I've joined RAC, I've come to know several of the staff and trainers, and every one of them is a winner. I have to send a big high-five to personal trainers Ari and Jose who often join in on my sessions with Briana, occasionally even exercising with me, which shows me how much they really care about me and my goals. And John at the front desk and office keeps the place running smoothly and is always ready to jump in and help with whatever I need. I would recommend becoming a member of the RAC to anyone with no reservations. Joining the RAC has been the greatest investment I've made in myself!

I will always try something new for free and have to say I have even paid out of pocket since my free personal training ran out. , When I walk into the Greece Ridge Mall RAC I'm greeted by friendly staff. Ryan always smiles and says hello. No mattter what he's doing or how busy he is, he always makes me fee like he's glad to see me and I'm the most important person that's come through the door! The club is always clean and Patty never stops cleaning...she's always busy but always takes time durng her busy day to say hello and ask how I'm doing. It seems that everyone who sees me come in always smiles and says hi (Ricky, Kristen, Mason, Geoff).
l find the class offerings at the RAC to be varied and at appropriate times for my schedule. I regularly attend Zumba classes and cycling classes. My morning Zumba classes are fun with Malinda and Becca. I am very disappointed that Melinda Adams was transfered to the Perinton RAC and then eventually let go! She was the best Zumba instructor ever!
I also take Kim Trobia's cycling class on Wed & Fri mornings. She offers a motivating and intense workout and has quite a following. She is awesome. By far the best cycling instructor I have ever taken a class from!
Now, let's talk about the main reason I have remained a member of the GRM RAC...Denise Mitchell!!
Denise Mitchell is the personal trainer that I have been working with 2 x/wk for over a year. She is phenomenal! Her knowledge base is exceptional. She is a constant motivator and pushes me beyond my comfort zone...because she is amazing...I have become amazing as well! She always prepares purposeful workouts and offers nutritional info and recipes as well. She is one of the most intelligent people I know...she should be training all the personal trainers!!! Denise and I are a perfect match for eachother...she brings the challenging workouts and I bring the "heart" and desire to exceed her expectations!! She motivates me beyond what I think I'm capable of achieving...she is like "Quiet Thunder"... she encourages, challenges, motivates me in her own quiet way...and she gets results!!! Denise Mitchell is AMAZING and I will remain a member of the GRM RAC as long as she is here!!!

When I joined, I weighed in at 287 pounds. 7 months later I dropped over 100 pounds, and have been building muscle and maintaining my weight ever since. While I did put in a lot of hard work to get where I am today, the staff at the club had a lot to do with it. From day one I had been utilizing the personal training option that they offer at the club, and it has been worth every penny. My trainer, Joey, has been with the club for many years. When I signed up I was paired with him because of my weight loss goals. He had many clients who he helped lose a lot of weight. When I say Joey helped save my life, I mean it. I was heading down a path that there may have been no return from. He gave me the tools I need to stay healthy and fit, and I still use him twice a week. He constantly alters my programs according to my fitness level and goals to ensure I get the best results. Ask for Joey if you do the personal training, he'll get you where you want to be. Rickie, the General Manager, cares about every single member that walks through the door. He always makes himself available for questions about anything regarding the club, be it memberships, equipment, classes, etc. If he's not available right at the moment, he will make sure he finds you before you leave to get you an answer. Incredible behavior from a GM in my opinion. Kristen is the operations manager of the club. She honestly cares about her members. When I won a fitness contest here at the club, she couldn't wait to tell me. She was literally standing at the door of the club waiting for me to come in for an appointment to tell me I won. She wanted to call me all day long but Joey asked her to wait. No matter what is going on, she makes time for whoever walks into her office. The entire staff makes you feel welcome every single time you come in. They knew me by name within the first few days of me being a member. I am in the best shape of my life and at the healthiest stage of my life and it is all due to the RAC. You won't find a better health club in Rochester in my opinion!
