More about H2y0ga

FLOWS AFLOATt: This vinyassa based workout is geared toward beginners, but can be challenging for experienced practitioners as well. Our primary focus is connecting breath to movement as we journey through a series of aquatic flows. Included are land-yoga favorites such as tree and child's pose with a whole new twist! DETOX ALOFT: Every time we take a twist in yoga, we are expunging toxins from our bodies. In the water, this process is intensified as the heat encourages our natural filtration systems to work more efficiently. Particularly great if you're doing a cleanse (and even if you're not!). BUOYANT BOTTOMS: It's that time of year again, the one where the bikini's come out and we all go and hide. Well, not you. Not this year. Buoyant Bottoms is a unique bottom lifting workout specially designed to make your derriere look nice in it's bikini cover. So whether you're a thong or full-coverage on the bottom kind of girl, you're gonna be wearing a big smile on the top.

I never would have guessed that yoga in the water would prove to be simultaneously the easiest and most challenging form I have ever practiced. Easy for several reasons: The warm water feels cocoon-like and comforting in a way that I am certain is connected to some deep, visceral memory of being in the womb. Being buoyant and weightless in the pool gives me a confidence I have always lacked to some degree in traditional land-based yoga, which I feel allows me to let go and get deeper into my practice. On top of this, the instructor, Sue, is easily one of the most positive, supportive yoginis I have had the pleasure of studying with. She sets the tone for the class and always makes me feel as though I can push myself to my personal limit in a safe environment.

Lest I give the impression that this is effortless, I want to talk about the challenging part. Being in the water means I am engaging my core in a way I have never had to do with other forms of exercise, including Pilates. This is something you feel in a big way after your first few classes, but the benefits are many. My body feels stronger, my back feels less stressed, and my abs are thanking me. The only downside is I now have to go and spend some money on new jeans!

I love water yoga. I've done many types of yoga on land for a dozen years, but this is completely different. The warm pool is very soothing but the postures require core focus. It is dynamic and relaxing simultaneously. I love to start my day and my week with water yoga and the effervecent Sue!

Water yoga is a unique and dynamic way to start the day! The instruction is excellent and it is such an enjoyable class. Great value as well - it's less expensive than any other classes I've seen. I would highly recommend this class!

I love yoga and I love being in the water and this combines them both with a workout that you don't know is intense until it is all over and every muscle feels worked.. Starting the day in this warm, salt water pool is a perfect way to transition from the dream world to the real world, feeling that miraculous combination of fit and relaxed.

Wow! What fun! I have tried yoga in the past but I never really got comfortable with it. A friend encouraged me to go and try Water Yoga.
It was a bit of a challenge at first getting used to being weightless, but by the end of the class I felt very confident and the stretch was Awesome! Being weightless in the water was incredibly relaxing. I think it's easier than regular yoga. :)
