I am not sure why there are so many people that complain about Quality Chain, I was driving from Sacramento to South Lake Tahoe, I had stopped at a Riebes Auto Parts and purchased two sets of cable chains for my pick up. I bought two in case the weather was really bad. I also bought two pair of the Six arm rubber things. On my way up I had to put on one set of chains. About 20 miles up, one of the cables snapped. I pulled over immediately regardless of traffic and removed the set and put the other set on. I was super angry that I felt that the cables should have lasted a little longer. When we arrived in South Lake Tahoe, I pulled out the paperwork in the bag the cables came in. Sure enough there was a warning saying that the cables can break in the middle of the normal life of a chain, and it makes sense that a rock or other object on the road can cause the chain to break and would not really be a manufacturer defect. I called the manufacturer and I was calm and respectful, the guy said he would send me a replacement cross chain at no cost. I am glad I pulled over right away too, it says in the warning to pull over and replace or repair. If you keep driving, damage will occur to your vehicle. Like it you have a flat tire, are you going to keep driving and destroy your wheel? Thank goodness I didn't have any damage to my paint. Anyways, I recommend Quality.

I purchased these chains on the 18th from Autozone in Chandler, AZ. They sat in my truck until we were heading to the mountains on 12/31/14. I made it about 40 miles in mild snow without chains but decided to put them on before then next 45 miles and about 6 inches of snow. After about 8-10 miles, I heard a slapping noise. I pulled over, and noticed the chain broke and ripped my right rear wheel well apart (see picture). I took the right chain off and left the left chain on for another 2 miles before removing them completely. I installed per the instructions (put them on in my garage to get familiar with them before I had to use them) and checked them twice after about .5 and 1 mile. I stayed around 25 miles an hour and never went over 30.
Since they were clearly defective, I took them back to Autozone who said they were unable to take them back and forced me to work directly with you. This is causing a decent amount of extra time I dont have to spend on faulty product.
I returned the chains along with the receipt and pictures of the damage to my vehicle. They offered to fix them which I refused as I don't want to put this sub-par product back on my truck to cause more damage. Very disappointed

Product failed during use. Poor manufacturer response.

Purchased the diagonal cross cable design anticipating a severe snow storm. I installed and checked them on flat ground and used them in a severe snow storm. I drove 20-25 miles per
