This place is HORRIBLE!!! I adopted a Lhasa Apso from these people a few months ago, only to find out that she has aggression issues that are not suitable with my home life. She doesn't like men or kids, and has bitten my niece, nephew, my boyfriend and myself (due to me trying to distract her from a family member that she hates.) I called them over a week ago to try to schedule an appointment to take my dog back and never heard back from them. I foolishly thought ""Well, they had no information on her when I adopted her, so now they'll have all the information they need to really find her the best home!"" Today, I took her in myself, told them the situation and they told me THEY WOULD NOT TAKE HER BACK BECAUSE SHE'S AGGRESSIVE. The contract I signed when I adopted her said that at any point I could take her back to them if it didn't work out!!! Not only did they refuse to take her, but the lady LITERALLY laughed at me when I told her she just needed to be in a place with a single female owner. ""With no men and no children? haha"" <- HOW RUDE DO YOU HAVE TO BE??? I thought these people were supposed to help dogs find the right home, and now they refuse when they did a bad job?? They also told me I could take her to the LOCAL POUND, who by the way is a kill shelter!! She refused to help me find a no-kill shelter that could find her the right home. I absolutely hate these idiotic, irresponsible, full of crap people. DO NOT ADOPT FROM HERE!!!

I adopted a 4 year old canine angel from Operation Kindness almost a month ago. She's a Westie/Schnauzer mix and so peaceful. She was already house and crate trained. She just needed a haircut, bath, and a lot of love.

They'd taken a growth from her leg during her stay which thankfully was benign. The only thing was that she had an ear infection, which is to be expected when a dog is in "the system".

She's so peaceful and loves to cuddle. I've not had one issue with her and I'd recommend anyone to look to OK first.

We adopted our new pet dog, Sassy, one month ago tomorrow from Operation Kindness. She is 7 1/2 yrs. old. They handled the entire adoption so professionally. Sassy had all of her shots, microchip, and dental work needed and was ready for a loving home. She is such a joy and has brought much happiness to us as she is a sweetie. We feel that we have given her the care and love she had never had in a puppy mill setting and can already see her personality blooming. We recommend Operation KIndness to anyone wanting to adopt a pet. The small fee barely covers all they have done to get the pets ready for adoption.

Operation Kindness has gone through a complete change over the last few months. In the course of this change, they may have lost some important funding,so if you truly support their cause of aiding unwanted, abused, and needy animals, please help with contributions, donations,or just a little of your time. The animals will thank you.

I am sooo grateful to OPERATION KINDNESS - when I was forced to give up my George and Gracie because of my new job, I knew they were the ONLY ones to use! They truly LISTENED to my concerns (they had never been apart) and understood how very hard it was for me! Nancy Tubbs was so KIND - she kept me updated on how they were doing and I currently sponser their stay. The staff at OPERATION KINDNESS is simply THE BEST!
Thank you for loving animals!!!!

I love Operation Kindness and if anyone is looking for a dog or cat- check them out first. They are a no-kill shelter and they take the best of care of all the animals they get. They take have all the check up dones and shots. They will give the animal any type of medical attention they need and then when they are well - they let people adopt them and fully tell you what they have done. You do have to fill out an application that is longer than most shelters but it is just because they care so much about their animals. The adpotion price goes to help keep the shelter going and for all the had to do for the animal why it was there. A+++ group!

If you walk into Operation Kindness, several things become immediately obvious: (1) These animals are very well cared for and loved and (2) The animal you ultimately take home is likely to have a very good temperament. They train their animals and give them lots of space, toys, and TLC, unlike other shelters that simply put the animals in holding cells. The animals are obviously happy to have the care they do, and Operation Kindness is a no-kill shelter as well.

Operation Kindness is a great place to adopt a pet. Their wonderful no kill policy ensures that every pet lives and is adopted. The pets are clean, well cared for and have received shots. They are also nuetered and spayed if they are old enough.

PROS: Adopting a pet here supports the No Kill shelter
CONS:

Operation Kindness is a no kill animal shelter. They have many dogs and cats available for adoption. They have puppies and kittens as well as older dogs and cats. They require you to fill out a form and adoption fees if you wish to adopt an animal. They may not let you adopt an animal from them if you do not meet some of their criteria (for example if you say you plan on leaving you dog outside all day or use your dog as a guard dog). All in all, they are a good organization with many workers and volunteers that really care about animals.
