Eco Dive Center is the best dive shop in Los Angeles and there are some very good shops here. Ron and Beth (the owners) have worked hard to create a relaxed and fun place to learn to dive in California. They are hands on in their running of the shop and it shows. The service is great and the staff are very friendly and super helpful. There are dive groups to join (even if single without buddy) every weekend and affordable group tropical trips once or twice a year. The quality of gear is the best and Eco has terrific deals on everything under the sun (or in the water). It's a great place to go to get away from the office and feel like you're on vacation. Check it out!

Eco Dive Center is one of the best dive shops I have ever been to. Incredible service, friendly staff, and people who are really passionate about diving and try to make sure you have a great experience diving as well. They have quality gear and an incredible team of instructors. I've been there twice so far and I'm definitely going to be coming back for a very long time. GREAT deals. They also involve themselves in local non profit groups and local environmental initiatives, which makes me want to give them my support and business even more. If you're looking for a great local dive shop, definitely give them a try!!

Scuba can be intimidating if you don't know what you're doing. I knew I wanted to get certified but "What next?" All this stuff popped through my head: Where to go? What's involved? How long will it take? How much will it cost? How safe is it? Are the instructors reputable? Etc etc...After asking around, Eco Dive Center was recommended to me by a friend. Even though it wasn't exactly close to me since I'm Pasadena, I chose to do my Open Water class with them after talking to them on the phone. I was in a class with 3 other people, and my instructor was great! He was very patient working through the skills with me since I wasn't exactly what you'd call "a natural" and really helped me feel comfortable.
They also helped advise me what to look for when it came time to pick out a mask and fins, and eventually my wetsuit, BCD, and regulator. I admit I'm usually an online shopper for pretty much everything, but my experience in their shop changed my thinking on it. They were knowledgeable about the equipment, and I didn't feel like I was getting a hard sell. I got good advice, and a discount since I was a current student!

I first wandered into Eco Dive not long after it opened in Culver City and was immediately impressed by the amount of gear they had for sale. Most shops I had been in carried one or two pieces but at Eco they carried multiple manufacturers and several types of gear for each one. I had no problem finding things in my size, which can be hard at most shops for women, and when I needed to place an order it was done quickly and efficiently. The staff is always friendly when I drop by just to browse, hang out for free food at the dive club meetings or ask a million questions about the newest gear. Their staff on the boats always seems to go out of their way to help out even if I?m not in a class. They made a great first impression and I?ve been diving with them ever since!

My girlfriend and I went to Eco Dive Center for the very first time this past September to get certified before our Fiji vacation. I did lots of research on dive shops and settled on this one due word of mouth. The small team seemed like a family - Ron (owner) and Beth(owner) and Laura were wonderful. Whenever we came in to the shop for class or to look for new gear we always felt taken care of. Laura and Shane were patient and explained things to us that we never would have even thought to ask. We also liked that we could complete the class in 2 consecutive weekends or skipping a weekend due to our busy work schedules. Tim our instructor was thorough and always kept the class fun for us, and even sent us a few dive photos.

We had a great experience with them, and I've referred several of my friends and family to Eco too.

I took a basic class here and had such a great time that I just kept going and have taken several more advanced classes. All the teachers I have worked with have been awesome, (Laura, Kelli, Tim, Carlos, Dan) they're all extremely patient but enthusiastic, so you learn and have fun at the same time. Their prices in the shop are reasonable and they are very knowledagble and won't try to sell you more than you need. Can't recommend this place enough.

My wife and I just finished our open water certification through Eco Dive Center. What a great experience. The staff is extrememly friendly and always treat you like you are their most important customer. Philip and Ashley were our open water instructors and Andy was our divemaster, all three are patient and extremely helpful, I can't express how great they made our whole training experience.

I love going into this store. Staff is very helpful and friendly. Go in once and you are family. Owners Ron and Beth pay attention which is key. Selection is great, prices are fair and willing to work out deals.
