It was the worst food I have ever had. It was an all around hostile enviornment and my food was burnt and tasted really bad. The lighting of the restaurant was very dark and it was extremely noisy. I had a roach in my overpriced burger,

I found this on a cold snowy night, looking for a wine store and as I got deeper into the avenue, I realized that I might as well eat. Nothing could have suprised me more- great wine list, huge beer selection , interesting takes on local fare- ie.e jerk pork chops as opposed to traditional pulled jerked pork. Dark, Cozy, not cheap, but sophisticated. The food is consistently good- I have been back several times at different meals. Brought some Manhattan Professors here and they Loved it. Take the G train BillyBurgs , and watch the game at the bar, or grab a big booth. Waitstaff freindly and helpful. Pretend you are in Europe, and do not be in a American rush. Great addition to the neighboorhood. One day Bedford Ave will look like 5th ave in Park Slope, and I hope Black Swan, the pioneer, will be there to stay.
