Dr. Schwartz was very nice and through. However, I waited a very long time and her staff is terrible. They do not follow up with you on test results so expect to call them numerous times before you can get the results. They are also rude.

Rude Doctor. LIfe is too short!!! She is notorious for overbooking appointments and my waiting room times ranged from 2-3 hours!! She rushes through with little or no regard for the patient. One would think that she just wants the

Dr Schwartz is worth the wait. She is very thorough. I have been a patient for about 26 years and I usually wait, sometimes longer than others. Totally trust her and she spends the necessary time. One time I mentioned the wait and she

My review is base on waiting time only! If you value time, there is no need to read further, just find another doctor who can keep a better schedule. \n\nMy wife has taken our sons to this doctor in the past. But when we needed to schedule a new visit, the staff said we could arrive at 2:30 pm. This was an opportunity to move up our appointment from Thursday to a Tuesday visit because we were told they had cancellations. We waited for 50 minutes in the waiting room before moving to the examination room. At 4:00pm, having to wait 90 minutes, the doctor had not shown up, we promptly walked out and explained to the staff that this was simply unacceptable. \n\nIt's one thing to understand that most, if not all, appointments will run late. It's another thing to inform patients that the doctor may be running late. The staff did not inform any patients that it would be 1 1/2 hours to 2 hrs past your appointment time to be visited by the doctor. \n\nI simply cannot recommend this doctor on the fact that (you) a patient can expect or anticipate a 90-120 minute wait without knowing this in advance. \n\nAs I explained to the staff on my way out, if you explained this to me in advance, I would have said it was not worth my time to take 2 hours for an appointment that was scheduled at 2:30 and was not completed at 2 hrs later.

I understand the frustration of the people to talk about the waiting time. I've spent plenty of time waiting, too. I've even been present when someone walked out during a long wait. However, everything has a price, and the price of seeing Dr. Schwartz is the wait. No problem. She's worth it.\n\nThe upside to the wait is that she spends whatever amount of time is needed for each of her patients. We've all been to doctors who spent only a moment or two with us and then misdiagnose and move on to the next patient. This leads to visit after visit, prescription after prescription, and plenty of misery in between. It simply doesn't happen with Dr. Schwartz.\n\nThose who want a fast diagnosis, a hastily written prescription, and little, if any, explanation should go to one of the ""Doc-in-a-Box"" clinics. Waiting time, along with the quality of the care, will be minimal. Those who really need help should go to Dr. Schwartz, and prepare for a wait. Everyone has different needs. Fast service won't be found when one visits Dr. Schwartz. Quality care won't be found in an office in which each patient is allotted 6 minutes maximum. Depending upon your needs, Dr. Schwartz could be either the best dermatologist for you or the worst. I'll stay with Dr. Schwartz.\n\n \n\n

I waited in the waiting room for 1 hour and15 minutes before being called into a ""small"" room. The assistant told me I would be moved to a ""bigger"" room once one was available. I let her know I was not very happy with the wait and she ""understood"". 15 minutes later she told me I was being moved into the bigger room, when I asked how much longer would it be, she said probably at least another 15 minutes or so. I told her I could not wait any longer and that my time was just as valuable as theirs. \r\n\r\nI overheard the nurse tell the doctor that she had 3 patients in wiating rooms and that 2 of them were ""anxious""........angry is more like it.\r\n\r\nI think I will send her office a bill for my time. 1.5 hours is a long time to wait and never see the doctor. And there is no telling how much more time I would have had to sit there if I'd decided to stay. \r\n\r\npros: none\r\ncons: everything about this visit

I took my child to his pediatrician several times for his very allergic skin with no success at treatment. He then suggested that I see Dr. Schwartz, who happens to be an amazing Doctor! I called her office for an appointment. Her staff was very kind. They were able to fit my son in to see Dr. Schwartz the same day. Dr. Schwartz took one look at his rash and immediatly gave me a diagnosis..Here a few weeks later, my child rash is clear. I would recommend her any day.?

Pros: Great Doctor and Staff...Easy to get an appointment

.

I've visited Dr. Schwartz several times after bouncing around at other doctors offices with wrong diagnosis. She quickly spotted my problem, diagnosed me, and provided quick treatment. She gives 100% with each doctor appoint, she listens carefully, she concentrates on every question.

Pros: She's a specialist and finds many issues that others don't

Cons: The wait--be prepared--but she's well worth it

while in college i developed a strange and painful rash on my back. I went to go see a dermatologist in the city in which I was studying. He said it was acne and prescribed the usual stuff. After it became worse and more painful, I went to a different doctor hoping for a better diagnosis. Three doctors later I was still in pain and had 3 sets of the same meds. \r\n\r\nFinally made it back home for the summer and went to see Dr Schwartz again. Waited my normal 2-3 hrs and walked in to see her. She immediately identified the problem, wrote the prescription and gave me a sheet of paper w/ treatment/care instructions. \r\n\r\nTo make a long story short, if you have acne and just need retin-a and benzoyl peroxide, you're probably better off going to the kelsey seybold dermatologist. If you have an issue that is hard to diagnose, go see Dr. Schwartz. Take a book, accept you will be waiting a long time. I have referred friends and family with difficult issues to her and have found her expertise to be unsurpassed repeatedly.

Be prepared to wait!!! \r\n\r\nDr. Jan takes her time with every patient. It is nice to see a doctor that is not caught up in the push them through the door like cattle mentality. \r\n\r\nI have been to many a doctor for my 5yr olds eczema and this is the only one who gets it right. Our whole family has seen her for the last 3-1/2 years. Dr. Jan knows her stuff. \r\n\r\nShe is down to earth and really listens to the patient. I will take the wait time any day for a caring and very knowledgeable doctor.\r\n

I was floored by the rudeness of the staff and their blatant disregard and disrespect of the patients' time. The woman who answered the phone when I called to make the appointment was short, terse, and rude. I waited for almost 2 hours, asking 3 times for an estimate of the continued wait time. Two of the women on staff behaved as if I had no reason to be asking, reclining in their office chairs while lecturing me on Dr. Schwartz's level of patient care, that she ""took as much time as needed and will for you too."" They told me she was performing surgical procedures between patient visits. When I asked why they over booked patients, they rolled their eyes at me. I finally left without being called into an examination room. If I had stayed and been called into an examination room, I would have waited another hour in the exam room, as all exam rooms were all full of patients that had waited even longer than myself. In the 2 hours I waited, I listened repeatedly to the woman answering the phone be rude to person after person over the phone. Too bad the staff isn't as consciencence about patient care as they seem to think the doctor is. The only message I received from this doctor and her staff is ""your time isn't as valuable as mine"" and that kind of arrogance doesn't belong in health care.

Non-professional Appointment system...\r\nWaited for 2 hrs.. no service... similar to most others there before and after me\r\nPractice has no respect for patient's time and schedule... just overbook to maximize their profit and bottomline. \r\nWhat happened to doctors who actually cared for patients instead of their own pocket????\r\nWhat a shame, the oath to care does not mean patients!\r\nAnd i did not try to rebook another appt
