My child has spent 1 year at CDB.Its location is convenient for me, and its facilities are new. However, I have some concerns. I am not sure where my child's teacher was trained/certified, but we have experience with another Montessori school and its staff was much more experienced in Montessori methods. In retrospect, we should not have switched from that school, but we were impressed with CDB's newness and it was closer to home. This proved to be a wrong decision for us. His teacher at CDB is nice for the most part, but I feel my child did not learn much in the time spent.Poor value: Our family is financially well, yet we realized when we signed up for the extra hours program, it added about $280 to his regular program, per month. I would not mind if I felt the additional cost to be justified, but I do not feel parents are getting what they pay for. New facilities and a sports court and other amenities only go so far. I have high expectations from a school priced so highly. Didn't deliver unfortunatley. If location and a new building are the most important things for a child's education, and value and education imparted are secondary, this is perhaps a good option. We will likely be returing to his old school, its about 10 minutes further, admin is iffy, but its the best place for my child and his educational development, he is most comfortable there and that is what is most important in our opinion.

We've been with Casa ever since they opened and have been very delighted since. We used to go to Sugar Creek and were displeased with various people and protocol. Casa is a very relaxing and friendly environment and has wonderful teachers and administrators and our child is learning so much so fast! We've even enrolled our child's older siblings on occasion in the summer when we didn't have someone to take care of them. There were no issues and it was very easy to arrange. I have one issue with the school though. The drop-off turn-around is very tight and I always end up doing a 3-pt turn to get around. This has nothing to do with the teachers and staff, so I'm still giving the school 5-stars.

My older daughter has been attending Casa for over a year now and my younger daughter started a few month ago as well. I have looked at all the pre-schools in this area (Montessori or not). Important things that I look for in a school are great teachers, good curriculum, clean facility and caring faculty. I have found all of these things to be top-notch at Casa Dei Bambini. I didn't want to put my kids in the school as soon as it opened. I wanted to tour the school and observe a class. Once you observe a class, you will understand the amazing quality of education that Casa offers for your child and how there are very few in the entire Houston and surrounding area that can even come close.

My husband and I couldn't be happier with CDB Montessori. We are so happy our 1 year old son gets to be a part of this school. We have been impressed with and comfortable with all the teachers that have interacted with him! They are wonderful with our son in a gentle and caring way and we have watched our son grow and learn new things thanks to all of them. We have plans to send our 3 month old to CDB when he is old enough and cannot be more grateful for the effect that CDB has had on our family.

My three year old son has gone to Casa Dei Bambini since Oct. 2010, he was one of the first students to enroll. I have nothing but positive things to say about this school! I agree with the poster who stated the frustrations with the delayed opening, but once we got past that it's been smooth sailing. The teachers and facility are fantastic. I can't imagine him going anywhere else!

I live near CDB and have a 3 year old daughter so was naturally excited when I heard that a "montessori" school was opening nearby. My daughter was going to a daycare at the time and I was looking for a montessori program as I had heard good feedback from friends who had placed their children in other (NOT CDB) montessori schools in our area. To be honest, I did not do a lot of research at the time and decided to register because CDB Montessori was nearby and 'montessori.' It turned out to be a big mistake. The school did not open in on time, in fact they opened months after the promised opening date. We had notified our previous daycare that we would need to disenroll, and had no where to go due to CDB not being open and my child's space being taken by another child.

Okay, problems can occur. But I realized the mistakes were due to the school management's disorganization and lack of experience. The management is chaotic and disorganized. I later found out that the ownership has had no experience in running a school. The lack of experience and disorganization of the management/owners was enough reason for me to not keep my daughter at CDB Montessori. The fact that they are much more expensive than at least 2 other nearby Montessori schools (that have both been established for many years each) and that those other schools have much better reputations made my decision a no brainer. CDB has a pretty building, but thats about all it has going for it. I'd rather have my daughter go to a better reputed school that has a proven track record, rather with a new establishment that, in such short time, has already shown that it is not well run. Just not worth the headache of pulling her back out again and again. She currently goes to another Montessori school nearby and its wonderful. I will not be naming names, but you can do your own research to find out the other cheaper, better alternatives in our area, just expand your search to two "next door" cities.

Good luck!
