If you want to go with Aqueous Basement systems,\r
Aqueous Solutions Inc. , or Aqueous Foundation Works , first CALL \r
the Washington State Dept. of Labor and Industries \r
1-800-647-0982 and ask how many\r
times their contractors license has been SUSPENDED in the last six years --\r
To our surprise - 10 times, 3 TIMES IN 2011 alone! The Labor & Industries web site doesn't display this information, you must CALL.\r
The owner never told us that.\r
I found several reputable waterproofing companies in the Seattle area.\r
If you don't spend 5 minuets checking on a contractor, it's your fault if you get burned!\r

I've hired this company to install a sump pump in my crawl space. A wonderful gentleman came out to give an estimate. He was just amazingly kind. Even though it was not the lowest bid for the job, I hired this company partially based on the very good first impression.\r
\r
After some time, the work day finally came. Many people came in two trucks, started to work on the job. They were very nice, very methodical on putting black plastics to cover the house and such. It went on like that for two days, which was their estimation on how long the job would take. Due to unforseen challenges, it didn't end in two days and they had to come back and everything started to break down. The crew became agitated and impolite over the time, started to neglect the prep work to keep the house and the surrounding area clean and undamaged. The job took two extra days in the end. On the last day, the foreman didn't even show up and the crew hastily wrapped up the job as soon as they could and left a mess for me to clean. Lots of mud all around the house, on the deck, even on the walls. Lots of debris and garbage from the job around the crawl space entrance. I was really unhappy about that but was also glad the job was done.\r
\r
Then the real problem showed up. I found the two work area (crawl space entrance and the part where they installed a pipe out of the crawl space) became mud pits. Considering the fact that other areas of the lawn is just fine, my best guess was the mud they dumped on my lawn was causing this problem. So I contacted them right away. That was last November. A couple of days later, I got an email that someone was out to see the area and determied that it was due to rain. I didn't agree and I've requested for another appointment when I could actually be there and point out the problems I was seeing. It's been almost three months since then. They've been ignoring me until I've finally given up and filed a formal complaint. \r
