I would give them less than one star if I could. We hired Pro Flooring in September 2009 to install new, pre-finished solid wood floors in our entire house for $16,000. We interviewed at least seven contractors before choosing them. They were referred to us by a flooring store and we read several good reviews online. The price was competitive and the owner, Bogdan Goia, spoke convincingly about their level of craftsmanship. Their website, which turns out to be a generic, fill-in-your-company-name-here type, also talks about their quality and attention to detail. Bottom line, the job was horrible. We filed a lawsuit in late 2009 after having four other flooring contractors look at the finished installation. They all said the floors would have to be ripped up and replaced. We hired a National Wood Flooring Association-certified hardwood flooring expert to examine the installation who took over 100 photos, and wrote a detailed report saying the floor needed to be replaced entirely to fix the problems. The problems included the floor boards being laid in a curve from one end of the house to the other (60 feet long) on both levels of the house, gaps between multiple boards, heat vents not installed flush with the floor and varnished in place so the grills wouldn't open, cardboard was used to shim a stair tread to make it look level (it bounced when you stepped on it), the board ends stair-stepped too close together (which nullified the manufacturer

I'm writing this review a year after the job was done because it still bothers me to this day.

Bogden and his assistant really cut corners and did an overall shoddy job. They installed engineered wood laminant flooring and left lots of gaps which appear only to get wider. My floor creeks everywhere I step and I am having to consider replacing the entire flooring over again!!

Not only did they rush the job, they took off without even removing their trash until I had to call them to come back. They refused to caulk the baseboards even though it was charged per foot, saying that detail is not included. They charged for 2 days work and they rushed to finish it in a day.

Although they do charge competitively, I now realize that I should not have hired them even if was for free. Now I will have to refloor the entire place!!
