Our animals have been with Dr Weldon for almost 5 years and we have always been extremely happy with her care but more importantly, how she always puts animals first. After reading the few negative reviews that were posted (out of 23 total reviews), I truly felt the need to speak up and go on the record. While all people have a bad day or two in their daily life, it angers me to read some of the dishonest and malicious comments being said about such an incredibly caring person and group of people. Dr Weldon and her team have always treated our family and our animals with the highest level of respect, compassion and professionalism. If you read all of the reviews of Loving Family Animal Hospital you will see a common theme amongst the people she deals with. This includes our story below.
As a lifetime pet owner for 30+ years and a current owner of 3 dogs and 1 cat, my wife and I have dealt with numerous veterinarians all over the country and in our area. During this time my wife and I have been fortunate to work with some extremely talented veterinarians (including a few at The Ohio State Veterinary Hospital in Columbus, OH). After working with Dr Weldon for 5 years we would not hesitate to say that she ranks at or near the top because of her excellent medical/clinical skills but also because she is extremely loving and caring towards her patients. In fact in April of 2010, my wife and I had to put down our dog and longtime friend Maggie, as she finally lost her battle with hip dysplasia and arthritis. When we called Dr Weldon to tell her the horrible news, she immediately offered to come by our home for this somber occasion. This allowed my wife and I the opportunity to have Ms Maggie pass away quietly in her favorite chair, surrounded by all who loved her. While I am sure Dr Weldon is not able to offer this service to all of her patients (which is understandable in today's crazy world), it is this type of caring for our family and our animals that has kept us coming back. For many people a trip to the vet is an annual ordeal where you pile the animals into the car and take them for their yearly examinations. However with such limited time with someone, you really don??t get a chance to learn who they are. Unfortunately my wife and I have had several animals with health issues and have personally dealt with Dr Weldon and her team through hip dysplasia, arthritis and pancreatitis. As many of you know, these are all difficult issues to deal with but Dr Weldon and her team spent a lot of time treating our animals, educating my family, researching new treatment options and helping us through these difficult times.
I am not one that typically writes reviews nor do I have any ulterior motive (which I see in the negative reviews) but Dr Weldon has been so kind to our family and our animals, through all of our ups and downs, that I really felt the need to speak up. For anyone that is looking for a veterinarian to take care of your beloved animals, I would absolutely recommend giving Dr Weldon an opportunity so you can judge for yourself.
Dr. Weldon is amazing. I have 2 Chihuahuas and Dr. Weldon has been our vet for 8 years. Her competancy and professionalism are unmatched. She loves my dogs as if they were her own. More importantly, my dogs love her! If you want the absolute BEST care for your animals, Loving Family Animal Hospital is the place to go!
Dr Weldon is the most awesome Vet for my African Grey Izzy, she is very particular as to who she trusts so I was concerned. Dr Weldon was very caring and gentle and Izzy loves her, she is the best bird vet I have found and would recommend her to anyone. She is flexible with scheduling and has great prices too.
Dr. Weldon is the best veterinarian in the world! She has been my kids (2 cats,1 dog) doctor for over 5 years. Not only does she provide the best quality medicine, she provides compassion. She truly cares not only for your pet, but for you as a client. She explains exactly what is wrong with your pet and gives you the best options to treat him/her. Without her my senior dog Daisy may not be living right now. We found she has liver disease and Dr. Weldon immediately took the necessary steps to help treat her. She is still doing great! My pets and I would be truly lost without her!
Compassionate and caring? WHAT A JOKE!! They care alright. They care about getting money. They told me my dog needed tests to the tune of over $700. I got another opinion and the other vet couldn't believe Dr. Weldon's recommendation. She didn't come right out and say that of course because she didn't want to make another vet look bad, but it was obvious what she thought. What she did suggest was some medication and, wouldn't you know it, my dog got better. I was so P.O.'d that I was talking to my neighbor about it and she told me that she's heard the same thing from other parents at her daughter's school. The vet at this hospital may talk a good game and can put on a performance, but the proof is in the pudding. If you're not willing to fork over a mortgage payment, she's not going to be happy. I also didn't like how the vet tech handled my dog. A little too rough for my tastes. I don't mind spending money on my dog--I absolutely LOVE him, but I'd like to know that I'm spending my money smartly. Dr. Weldon has lost ANOTHER client, which it sounds like is happening a lot in our neighborhood.
Dr. Weldon is a wonderful, caring and compassionate vet who takes wonderful care of my pug. She is thorough and upfront with the care my pug needs. Her and her team of techs have provided outstanding care and treat her as one of their own. I trust her and her staff and I never feel pressure to do wasteful procedures. Vet care is something that many pet owners don't ever want to have to do, but when you love your animals like they are your children, you want to provide them with every option possible and Dr. Weldon can do that, and does it at a reasonable price. She is amazing!
We took our dog Timmy to Loving Family Animal Hospital thinking that he wasn't going to make it. Dr. Weldon treated us like we were family and understood how much our Timmy has meant to us. She helped us so much and Timmy had his surgery today at CSU and is going to be just fine. We are so happy you have no idea. Dr. Weldon has been so good to us!! Thank you Dr. Weldon. You can truly see that Dr. Weldon became a veterinarian because of her love for animals and her compassion for their owners. We felt embraced and cared for ever minute.
I have a neighbor who's a friend of this vet and she asked me to go to this clinic because it's a new business and she wanted to help her get started. I agreed because I remember what it was like to start a new business and I figured the dog needs her shots anyway so why not. Big mistake. The staff was flighty and cavalier about spending my money. They were frustrated when I said I didn't want to buy heartworm tablets from them and instead wanted to buy them online. Ill go back to my last vet because she's closer and was much better in every way.
I gave this clinic 2 stars because it's new and modern. Offering refreshments is a nice touch, but not enough to override the pressure to do every test under the sun. I came in for shots, please just give my cat the shots I came in for.
BEST VET EVER! I had heard of the nasty comments some left and had to voice my opinion. \r
I have an English Bulldog and a French Bulldog who have both seen Dr. Weldon for several things and both were neutered there. Bulldogs can be tricky with anethesia and I visited several vets before I decided on taking my fur babies to Loving Family. Dr. Weldon and the entire staff always take great care of my boys - so much that they get excited when its ""time to go see Dr. Weldon."" The facility is very clean and inviting. \r
The staff is VERY caring and compasionate and always acts in the best interest of the animal. Everytime my boys have been to Loving Family, we get a follow-up call the next day to make sure they are doing well. I don't even get this treatment from MY physicians!! \r
Thank you Loving Family Staff!!
I tried to login again to Citysearch, but can't get in, so I started a new account. I'm the same reviewer as jackonline. My dog cut her foot, and since I wasn't going back to Loving Family, I did a search for a vet offering a military discount. I went to www.petsforpatriots(dot)org and saw that Loving Family was listed there. I wanted to see what you had to do to get listed on that referral list and I found out that she had to LIE to get listed there in the first place. In order to qualify to be on their referral list the first questions asks\r
""Are you a veterinary clinic, hospital or practice in good standing for at least the past ?ve years?"" If you don't answer yes, you're disqualified.\r
Loving Family opened in 2011. It doesn't matter that the doctor may have been at other clinics for 5 years before. It has to be this clinic that's been open and in good standing for 5 years. Dr. Weldon you've been caught. I'm P.O.'d all over again. I have contacted Petsforpatriots(dot)org. I'm confident they will investigate you and will be taking you off their referral list. Try building your business on something other than lies and maybe you'll make it, but I bet more people will see through you like we have and will take their business elsewhere. \r
On January 14, Dr. Weldon responded to another negative review\r
"" Have some self-respect and leave a person like myself who is trying extremely hard to run a business that is made up of love, honesty, and compassion alone!""\r
HONESTY? What a joke. She had to lie to get listed on www.petsforpatriots(dot)org. She's already proven just how honest she is.\r
I made the drive up to Community Pet Hospital in Thornton. They were very reasonable and I got my miitary discount.
Weldon was our vet at Coal Creek. We took our 4 year old sweet terrier to her to check out a small lump. She told us it was a just a fatty lump and nothing to worry about, Then she told us that she needed her teeth cleaned, which we agreed to. While she was there for the cleaning, she called us and said that we should remove the lump while she was already asleep. We trusted her so we agreed. When we picked up our dog that night, she was so wobbly she couldn't walk straight. We were told that she would snap out of it by the next day, That night, she was barely moving, so we decided to take her to the ER. On our way there, she died in the car. We called the next day to tell Weldon what happened. The hospital manager talked to us on the phone and said she was sorry we lost our dog. We never heard from Weldon. We'll never know what happened, but one thing is for sure and that's that our dog was fine before she went under Weldon's care and then she died less than 6 hours after leaving her care. I saw her name in an ad for her new hospital with a $15 off coupon. I went to her website to see if it was her and saw her fake smiling face and felt prompted to write this review.
I had to bring my dog in for an emergency visit on a Saturday. It was so stressful to see my pet ill, but when I called Loving Family they reassured me that they could take care of my pet. When I came to my appointment they addressed all my concerns with such compassion. They did the necessary things and made not only my pet feel better but I felt better. I'm pleased to report he is doing great! They even called to check up on my pet and even asked if I was doing OK. I honestly have never had this service at a vet hospital. Thank you to the kind people and a big thanks to Dr. W. !
I called around looking for best price for getting shots for my dog. I'm a disabled veteran. My disability benefits are not what they should be. I saw the coupon and called ahead and was told that the bill would be $80-90. On the morning of the appointment, my leg was acting up and I couldn't make it. My wife took our dog in without me and when she got home, she told me the bill was over $300! Our dog is 7 years old and completely healthy and runs around our yard without a care in the world. She isn't sick. She didn't need a bunch of blood tests. We're not going to Hawaii on vacation--that money was for food and mortgage. Not all my meds are covered by the VA. When I asked my wife why she didn't just walk out when she felt pressured to do the tests, she said that everyone from the front desk to the assistant to the doctor told her these tests were necessary to ""make sure"" our dog was okay and she took them at their word. I'll be sure to tell everyone in the neighborhood and all veterans I meet what kind of place this is. This place should change its name to ""Wealthy Family Animal Hospital""
Great experience. Everyone was so nice, and the clinic is lovely. I feel as though they truly cared about my pet. Great people!
Thank you Dr. Weldon, Stacey, Sue, Chris, Katie!
You saved our little, but very precious life when every one else thought that the euthanasia is our best option.
I would recommend you to everyone who cares for their pets.
From the bottom of my heart I wish your practice a very long, successful and rewarding journey.
I recently move to Colorado and needed to find a vet. After looking at several places they all weren't what I was looking for. I finally stopped by at Loving Family to check them out. I felt immediately welcomed. I was given a packet of information and she explained everything in it. She answered all my questions. I came back a few days later with my pet. I was even more impressed with them. We were given drinks, my dog was given some water. Dr. Weldon was so nice and smart! I hope I can find a doctor and staff like this for my own personal health!

I just saw Dr. Monique's advertisement in the Aurora South coupon circular and feel compelled to share my experience. I am a loyal client of Aurora Animal Hospital. Dr. Monique worked there for a little while and she examined my dog once when she was there. She was perfectly nice and at the end of my appointment, I told her how nice it was to meet her and I looked forward to seeing her again. That's when she told me that she was opening her own clinic soon and told me that she could contact me when she was open. I was flabbergasted. I've been going to Dr. Holly for years and I couldn't imagine she would hire someone who would do this. I suppose that Dr. Holly found out about what she was doing, because my understanding is that Dr. Monique didn't last there very long. I'm sticking with Dr. Holly. I see there are lots of other reviews from people who are happy with Dr. Monique. I'm not one of them. I have to wonder about Dr. Monique's ethics if she's trying to steal patients away from a clinic that she's working for. If she's willing to compromise her ethics to gain some business, what else is she compromising her ethics about? Does she sell expensive medicine that isn't necessary or suggest tests that aren't necessary?
I have been taking my 5 year old dog to Dr. Weldon since she was 9 weeks old. Dr. Weldon has been very gentle and caring with my dog and able to answer all our questions so we could understand them.
I think its great that Dr. Weldon opened up her own business so she could run it the way she wanted. She and the staff are so passionate about all animals and make you feel like you are one of the family. Dr. Weldon and the staff have made the animals their life and it shows through the care they give.
The lobby and exam rooms at this clinic are clean and pretty and it was nice to be offered refreshments, but the upsell and accompanying bill were a shock. I tried this place because there was a $15 off coupon, and times are tough right now. I asked what it would cost on the phone before I came, and once I was there they gave me an estimate for more than double what I was quoted. I guess I should have known that they have to pay for their refreshments somehow. Once I refused all the extras, their friendly attitude changed in a heartbeat.
I was looking for a new vet that would show compassion and real interest in my four cats. Boy did I hit the lottery with Dr. Weldon and her staff!
From my initial phone call through my first visit, all I can say is wow. Everyone there was so professional and compassionate. They have a beautiful office, convenient hours, offer refreshments and were very affordable.
They took time to learn my four cats histories and personalities. They listened and provided great guidance and that was even before I met Dr. Weldon.
Dr. Weldon is simply the best. My oldest cat is 16 and showing signs of kidney disease, I am amazed at the things that can be done for a senior cat with this disease. She listen to my concerns and provided great advice. Thank you Dr. Weldon!
If you are looking for a vet that will treat your pets as family I highly recommend Loving Family Animal Hospital.
After visiting Loving Family Animal Hospital, I was so impressed I needed to write a review! From start to finish their customer service/knowledge was great! I was offered refreshments, my pets were immediately pet and you could tell they truly enjoyed their job. Which is quite refreshing these days. Dr. Weldon, was so sincere, My pet was sick and she did step by step things instead of running every test. My pet is doing great now! Its nice to have not only a great vet, but a loving staff also!
Upon entering the vet clinic we were treated like family! We were offered refreshments for ourselves and our pets. This was our first visit, we inherited two dogs and are really not financially able to care for them. Drove over to dumb friends , couldn't go through with it. Decided to take a chance on speaking with a vet, everywhere we checked was too expensive. Sunday was a free check up day we heard about on the news, they scheduled us to go to Loving Family. We are so blessed to have encountered such wonderful, compassionate people. Dr. Weldon and her assistant Katie were so kind and sympathetic to our situation, and treated us with the utmost respect. They went above and beyond to examine our dogs. They have worked out an affordable plan for us to have the proper care for our dogs. We have looked around at others, Loving Family beats the rest. Go in and experience for yourselves. I am so grateful to God that Loving Family is now part of our loving family!
I am very happy that Loving Care Animal Hospital is in my neighborhood. I took my 12 year old mutt there because he was due for shots soon and had not been to a docotor in over 2 years, (we both are usually uncomfortable in doctors' offices). I was very comfortable here. The waiting room was large and clean, and I was offered a drink while I waited (less than 5 minutes without an appointment).\r
The tech, Katie was pleasant and explained all the service options clearly. Then she gave me plenty of time to ask questions and think about the different options that was best for me and my dog. Dr Weldon was so nice and caring - even when my dog got mad and showed his teeth at her. She showed even more concern and calmed my grumpy old dog! \r
I also liked that they took a picture of my dog for their records, and we received a large welcome packet, specialized just for senior dogs, full of useful information. This is the place where my dog will be taken care of for many many more years (as his impressive test results showed)!\r
WE LOVE Loving Family Animal Hospital
Dr. Weldon is by far the most professional, compassionate, and knowledgable vet our family has ever encountered. Loving Family Animal Hospital's prices are more reasonable than any other facilities in the area, and their service is nothing less than stellar. Not once has Dr. Weldon or the staff ever tried to upsell, over sell, or recommend anything to us that our pets didn't need.\r
Dr. Weldon on several occasions has gone above and beyond to extend top notch care, as well as given the extra support we needed to get through tough situations. <>\r
To sum it up, alI I can say is...Thank you, thank you to Dr. Weldon and staff for being our family's provider and friend. \r
I will absolutely continue to recommend you to everyone I know that loves their animals as much as I do :-D . \r
Forever Thankful <3
Had a great facility and a very friendly staff, the vet was very nice and seemed helpful. The problems didn't start until we actually got to the exam room, I should have known something was up when the vet started suggesting all kinds of treatments and extra things I felt were unnecessary. I ended up just leaving and go to another Vet down the street called coal creek which was 1/3 the cost of dr weldons facility. Nice people but watch out for the up charging and over pricing its outta control over there. Maybe they just don't have enough visitors yet which is why they charge so much to their current clients...Well they lost this one!
I tried this vet because of the promotional coupons they had and because my dog was due for her shots. Nice, new facility, but I was shocked at the upsell and their prices. My dog just needed her shots and some heartworm medicine. I called ahead and got a quote, but when I got there they gave me another quote which was almost double what they told me on the phone. During the exam, the vet told me my dog needed her teeth cleaned. They had a little tartar, but not bad as far as I could see. I refused the teeth cleaning and extra lab tests, and you could see how disappointed she was. I went to Smoky Hill Animal Hospital for a second opinion since they do free dental exams and they told me that my dog did not need her teeth cleaned under anesthesia, but that she would benefit from daily teeth brushing at home. They showed me how to brush her teeth and sold me a kit for less than $10.\r
Shame on you, Dr. Weldon, for playing the bait and switch! I'll be sure to let everyone know about my experience.
Our cat was not eating and losing weight, since we were not thrilled with our prior vet clinic and decided to talk with Dr. Weldon. We were immediately put at ease, and more importantly, so was our cat. She has never just curled up in a vet's office, let alone go cooperatively into a vet or vet assistant's arms. The environment is clean, relaxed, friendly and professional.
Our cat needed extensive dental surgery, all aspects of the surgery were explained clearly, our questions answered and the utmost care given to our beloved family pet. We are thrilled and highly recommend Dr. Weldon and her staff.
Dr. Weldon and her staff is without a doubt the best vet we have ever had. I have two German Shepherds, ages 11 and 4, and they have both been with Dr. Weldon since they were puppies. I would not even consider taking them anywhere else. Dr. Weldon is amazing. She is honest, trustworthy and extremely compassionate. My girls have always received exactly what they have needed, never any more or any less, and I have never been up charged. I will have Dr. Weldon as our vet for as long as I have pets.
As far as Dr. Weldon goes, she is one of the best vets in the business. I have had the joy to meet, work with, and take my pets to many veterinarians in the Denver area, and I can tell you that it is saturated with many quality veterinarians. Among these, however, I think Monique takes a special place. She is one of the brightest, most genuine and smartest practitioners in the field. I would never hesitate to take an animal to her, regardless of problem or, for that matter, species.
First of all I have to comment on the post by a 'prior employer'. I am stunned that any employer would make such a comment -- that is certainly not acceptable in the corporate world. The bottom line is that whether or not those allegations are true and Dr. Weldon was indeed 'fired' -- we can never know what is behind that. Typically those situations are less about competence and more about company politics and personality conflicts. As far as the comment about fabricating positive reviews it doesn't take a Rocket Scientist to see that although this is a new practice -- Dr. Weldon has been practicing her profession for many years. She has been our vet for the past EIGHT! The comment posted on here reflects more negatively on the 'prior employer' -- but I wouldn't be surprised if that person is not her actual previous employer but merely an employee of that company -- in which case they would be the one fired if I owned that practice!
(Okay, enough on that rant -- let's move on to what is most important here...)
What I do know and am 100% certain of is my own experience with Dr. Weldon. She has taken such great care of our corgi and our cat even long before that. and has been our vet for eight years. I can't say enough great things about her. She really is passionate about her work and it shows. When she had to amputate our kitty's tail (after an unfortunate incident with our front door) she was so compassionate and supportive it felt like she was an extended member of our family. She is extremely competent, bright and informed of all the latest developments in her profession. I trust her implicitly and she is just as as credible, skilled, and capable as those with more than twice her years of experience. I am so excited for her to be opening her own practice. She will have a lifelong following of devoted clients -- with us at the top of the list!
Go to her Facebook page and you can see that I am a real, legitimate client of hers (Jackie) so there is no dispute about that!
Dr. Weldon has been our vet since she started practicing in 2003. She is absolutely the best vet we have EVER had. She has always been honest and caring and the ultimate professional. We do not need to visit her at the new location to write a review....we have been lucky to have her as our vet for the past 8 years and will definitely be following her to Loving Family! \r
When one of our dogs was diagnosed with bone cancer, Dr. Weldon was honest and supportive as we came to terms with it. When the time came for our dog to be euthanized, Dr. Weldon came to our house so that our dog could be surrounded by her family in her comfortable, home environment. That is one example of her compassion and commitment to animals and their families. \r
Dr. Weldon has provided excellent care for our animals over the years. In two instances, she correctly diagnosed unusual illnesses in our pets and the specialists to whom we were referred spoke very highly of her excellent diagnostic skills. \r
She has a gentle, caring manner and is a down to earth, practical professional. We trust her implicitly with the health of our animals and are glad for Dr. Weldon that she has fulfilled her dream of opening her own practice.
How is it that this animal hospital had 4 glowing reviews before it even opened last week? Obviously Dr. Weldon has chosen to fabricate positive reviews in order to make herself look good. This type of deceptive behavior is what encouraged our hospital to terminate her employment with us. Although Dr. Weldon has some positive qualities, her deceptive nature should make you hesitate before you trust her with your pets.
If you want a caring vet who's #1 goal is to provide the best care possible for your pets (aka family), follow Dr Weldon. When my wife and I first met Dr Weldon, we knew in a split second that her passion was animals. She loves our dogs as much as we do, and our dogs are always happy to visit the vet.
Since that day, we have followed her to another vet, before she was able to fulfill her dream of opening her own vet.
She is never pushy, but is honest in providing you the best care. If you decline for whatever reason, she does not make you feel less of a pet owner. We have been to vets that have pressured us into expensive xrays, CT scans, etc and when we declined, we walked out feeling like the worst pet owners.
We have even contacted Dr Weldon via email and was was even nice enough to provide her expert advice.
Top notch service!! A++++
Dr. Weldon is by far one of the best, most knowledgeable vets I've ever taken my pets to. She is amazing with the animals and only has what's best for your furry kiddo in mind. Dr. Weldon has even stayed well after closing time to care for my dog when she had an allergic reaction on a Saturday afternoon. It's obvious she loves her job and I highly recommend her for anyone considering using Loving Family Animal Hospital as a clinic for their pets. Dr. Weldon is simply just the best!!
Our critters have been seeing Doc Weldon for over 5 years. What's refreshing about her is that she only recommends treatment that is appropriate for the animal and their well being. Doc keeps up on the latest news in vet care and passes it onto the client. \r
We trust Doc Weldon and know that she cares for our pets like she does her own. \r
Congrats on the new practice!
Dr. Monique Weldon has the best care, knowledge and compassion for any loved pet. She cares about the pet and what is the best care for the pet to maintain good health or to have the pet regain its health. She is honest and does not fabricate the odds. I trust her completely. These are the reasons I have and will continue to have my pets taken care of by Dr. Weldon.\r
She is awesome in my book.
Without her my senior dog Daisy, may not be living right now. We found out she has liver disease and Dr. Weldon immediately took the necessary steps to help treat her. She is still doing great! My pets and I would be truly lost without her!
