I took my Chevy Cruize to Gary Lang. The check engine light was on. Greg Schrecengost was my service representative. He was very helpful when I called Gary Lang and was exceptional when I brought my car in. He really cared to make sure that when I picked my car up that everything was in perfect working condition. In fact, everyone there was very nice. I plan on always taking my car to Gary Lang and asking for Greg.

I had my GMC truck in for some warranty work/maintainence. Chris in service stayed on it from start to finish making sure I had a rental car and explaining what work they were doing and answering all my questions.

I took my 2014 Optima in to have them check out a clunking sound in the rear suspension area of the car, Ruben Escobedo was the person who waited on me, he actually listened to what I had to say, unlike so many other service departments I've dealt with in the past.Many service departments assume the customer doesn't know any thing about cars, Ruben Escobedo was not like that at all. He kept me informed through out the process as to what was going on. Very professional and very accommodating.

I recently bought a 2005 GMC Yukon Denali through Jason at Gary Lang Auto Group. I live in Ohio so the purchase was through the internet and the telephone. Since this was my first time buying a vehicle over the internet, i was very unsure. When I buy such things of value as a vehicle, I am the type of person the item has to be literally perfect. Jason made several video's of the truck detailing all the little nooks and crannies and even in his dress clothes, crawled under the truck to video the undercarriage. I can tell you right now, I don't know of anyone who would have done that!!!!!. The truck ended up being in excellent condition as if it had just come of the assembly line. I am not a fan of car salesman just because of how they try to talk you into buying vehicles of of not so great shape by saying you are getting a good deal. But this isn't the experience I had with Jason. I have told just about everyone here in OHIO, (GO BUCKS!!!!), of the great experience. I would recommend if you are wanting to buy a car online, Jason and Gary Lang Auto Group is worth checking out!!!!!!!!!!

I've always wondered where the name stealership stemmed from. After multiple visits to this so called dealership I've quickly found out. My wife and I purchased a 2010 Chevrolet Equinox 4 cylinder from them back in 2010 (which wasn't a good experience at all in the first place).

More recently we have begun experiencing problems with the vehicle. Specifically with a rattling sound coming from the engine area. The vehicle is still under warranty and as expected they have claimed that they are unable to ""duplicate customer complaint"". Go figure... On multiple visits the sales/service personnel have been flat out jackasses. They are always very short with us and act like we are nothing but a big nuisance. My wife comes from a family of mechanics that have been Chevrolet Mechanics for 20+ years and they all tell me something is very wrong with the vehicle and they were the ones that suggested that I have it checked out without us even saying anything.

The vehicle has already been in once for engine/computer issues and it only has 21,000 miles on it and already sounds like its on its way out. Burns 1 full quart of oil every 900 miles. Went 2100 miles and put in over 2 quarts. I will never step foot into Gary Lang again in my life and I feel sorry for the sorry SOB that does. Good luck, that's all I have to say is good luck.

The car drove well. We really liked it, but they were not able to work with us at all. Basically, it seemed as if we were an inconvenience rather than a valued customer. The salesman was talking to another man about our trade-in, leaning back in a chair taking his time while by this time we have two very crabby kids from sitting there for so long.

We ended up walking out w/out a deal. Two days later they called and wondered why we never showed for our appointment. When we explained that we had and had a terrible experience, the man was apologetic and said he would work on it and get back to us in a few minutes.

Two days after that he finally got back to us only to say we needed to pony up MORE money because they couldn't give us a decent trade-in price. (It was appalling, really.)

Horrible service, horrible organization, and these salesmen need to clean up their demeanor(and their sailor's mouths) ASAP.

After I asked about the Costco Auto price, I was told by the salesman he would take care of all the paperwork. After I purchased the car, I contacted Costco and was basically told in a nutshell that the salesman was not allowed to do the paperwork for me and he was not one of the authorized salesman for the Costco deal. All the Costco paperwork was supposed to be done prior to me going to the dealer. I was also supposed to get another $200+ off the vehicle when the Costco price was compared to my negotiated price. (I was initially told I was getting a better deal). After about 2 weeks of going back and forth between Costco and Gary Lang, I finally got my gift card to Costco. Never again will I be at this dealer.

gary lang is in it for the money they sold me a jeep that had sevier problems and then they told me that they would not fix it and the jeep had there 3 mounth 3000 warenty on it this came from the service manager and sales manager they may seen like they are on your side but they are taking you for a ride please dont trust any thing they say about a used car it is all a lie . they also told me they just got the car and the car fax shows that they have had it for 3 mounths and in that time there was 500 miles put on it PLEASE DONT TRUST ANY THING THEY TELL YOU !!!!

I would rate this dealer with 0 stars if the site allowed. I went there today, searching for a replacement part (door jamb switch) for a 2006 Subaru Legacy Outback. I also had the old part in hand (with a part# on it) so I could show the parts folks what I needed. The parts guy refused to help me without a VIN#. Unfortunately, it's my son's car currently in Champaign, IL, so I did not have the VIN. The parts guy wouldn't even look it up. He was very condescending and behaved as if I was wasting his time. After I left, I contacted the parts dept at Libertyville Subaru. What a difference in attitude! Very polite and helpful, and guess what---no VIN required! It's a very common part used in most models of Subaru, and they had one in stock, which they set aside until I could drive there and pick it up.

That was my first (and last) experience with Gary Lang Auto Group. I will never set foot on their property again!

Nobody knows whats going on, nobody cares, and everybody doesn't seem to have any sort of good mood left in them. While dealing with a sales consultant I had over heard other sales people talking about what a terrible place it was to work and how they kept changing all the rules and pay scale there. Between all the negativity, vulgar language and overall dissatisfation with their work enviornment I decided my family needed to purchase somewhere else. I wish there was a zero rating because that's what I would give Gary Lang. I bought a car from them years ago and had no problems.
My husband and I were on a search for a GMC Terrian and had to have the best deal. Our search began at Gary Lang and we went in to look at a car together once. They were so pushy. They gave us what they said to be the best deal that anyone could offer and I trusted in that and was sure that I was dealing with honest people. We thought we were going to end up buying from them.
My husband got online and contacted Woody's in Elgin and over the phone they were able to give us a better deal than Gary Lang ... even though Gary Lang said it could never happen. Woody's brought a car out to us to drive for the weekend to see if we liked it. We ended up buying from them because they gave us a much lower price, better interest rate and threw in a different grill that we wanted. We are very happy with our new car.
I just got off the phone with a woman that was beyond rude!! To the extreme! I told her that I was sorry but we had to buy from someone else because we were offered a much better deal. She yelled and said "" You couldn't even call us back and let us try to beat them and their price"". My reply~ Um NO..... I DON'T PLAY GAMES AND YOU ASSURED ME THAT YOU WERE GIVING ME THE BEST PRICE AROUND!!!!!!!! The conversation was anything but professional and it ended with her hanging up on me.
TAKE MY ADVICE FOR YOUR OWN SAKE.... DO NOT EVEN BOTHER WITH THEIR GAMES!!!!!
