When I first came to EZ Money, they were most helpful. I met a man whom I referred to EZ, and he eventually became my husband. We invited the workers at EZ to our wedding. That is how close of friends we became. We became friends with the two clerks because of their affable personalities and willingness to help and still be professional and treat you with respect. These two workers were the reasons why we referred several of our friends to the store. These two workers went out of their way- off the clock - to tell us of the store's promotions, and they are not paid to do so. That is loyalty, a very good quality of a professional and dedicated employee. One of the workers left the job so it left a vacancy to be filled. The manager hired a new clerk whom we will refer to as JG, and at first seemed just as affable. However in the two months this worker being employed there, my husband was turned off by JG's unprofessional attitude and dealt with corporate in getting a payment plan to pay his account. JG badmouthed the remaining worker, whom we will refer to as NL, which ended in NL's termination based on lies JG told to the manager, the day after we heard all of this from JG about NL, about NL's unwillingness to work, preferring personal business over coming in to work, not coming in when scheduled or leaving early, all of which is false. On that same day JG badmouthed NL to us, we had come in with some financial struggles and asked if we could make arrangements to pay a portion of what I owed, and the balance at a later time but within a couple of weeks when finances were better. I requested to be put on a payment plan, to which JG said I could not. My husband suggested we contact corporate to arrange it, and JG said "I wish you wouldn't. It cuts into NL's and my bonuses." My husband and I assumed EZ's workers were paid on commission or something by this statement. So, I paid JG more money that what I could afford at the time. We explained the situation, asked for an extension, asked for a payment plan, and decided we would contact corporate when JG refused to help us in this temporary situation. We have always paid our loans and referred several of our friends. We thought because of our good business, they would work with us. That didn't seem to be the case now. After we paid a portion of what I owed with the concrete promise that the rest would be paid within two weeks, we left the store. A few days later, we learned that our friend NL was terminated for the reasons I mentioned before. We also learned that JG went into my checking account and took money to settle the back balance, which was for my car payment. This caused my car note to go unpaid for the month, it caused a bank fee for NSF and other financial burdens which now I have to remedy for months to come. All of this could have been avoided if they would have worked with a good client in a temporary situation. Instead, an innocent worker was fired over lies and I am still reeling from the financial setback caused by JG at EZ Money on Broadway in Menomonie, Wisconsin. I do not recommend anymore of my friends to EZ Money especially this particular store, and I will write bad reviews in every possible venue available to warn good folks not to do business with this company. They do not honor loyalty of workers, nor do they work with long time customers that refer others to their store for business. That is most unprofessional and bad business for the community. It does not build a loyal customer base.
