I have shopped at VGMX for years now, and whether I am casually shopping or actually hunting down a hard to find item, this is the first place I shop, and in most instances the last place because I always find what I am looking for.
My daughter has an appetite for all things Kirby, and when I was having a difficult time finding a few titles, I thought my only option was going to be online. Being more of a fan of brick and mortar, I stopped in and told them what I was looking for and all three titles I needed were either in stock, transferred from their other store, or in the last case, saved for me when the next copy came in, which was less than a week later.
Good customer service, employees know their media, and prices are great, especially when compared to the chain used game stores, and if you take advantage of the coupons they offer, you can sometimes get stuff at unbelievable prices.

Two years ago this was my favorite place to shop for used DVDs and video games. Chris, the owner, was always around and helpful. Their selection was great, I managed to buy something almost every time I went to the store. I miss those days.

It's been awhile since I bought anything there. Prices have steadily increased while the selection of products have decreased. I was very surprised at the increase in prices of many products during my last visit. For example, the first time I purchased a used Star Trek DVD box set there the price was $59.99. When I was there two weeks ago the same set was now $99.99 used. With a little bit of effort one could purchase a new set for less online.

Chris is almost never in the store anymore, which is a shame. I'm sure he has other things he's looking after, but I used to enjoy talking with him when I went in there. Without seeing him there the place doesn't feel the same.

Aside from the steady increase in prices, the drop off in selection is my biggest complaint. I realize they can't control what people bring it to sell or trade, but I have a hard time finding anything worth the asking price. Throughout the summer they ran buy one get one free on anything in the store, and I still couldn't find two items worth using the sale on. Maybe your luck will be better than mine, but it's been awhile since I've left there with a big smile on my face.

If you need CD/DVD/Game resurfacing they do that, although the price jumped the last time I was there. It always used to be a buck for any disc you took in. Now CDs and DVDs are $2 and video games are $5.
