I've seen Dr. M for 7 years. I found him intially through my insurance directory, and liked that he had many professional affiliations. I was not disappointed during my first appointment. His staff is courteous, friendly, and I've never waited more than five minutes to be brought back for my appointment. His equipment is modern and state-of-the-art. Xray technology through a computer so you can take a look, text messages for appointment reminders, and even examination chairs that perform massage during your visit. I moved to California for a short-time and even came back to see Dr. M while out of state. I have had both cosmetic and medical dentistry procedures with Dr. M with outstanding results. Most importantly, he puts me at ease. No one loves going to the dentist, but my visits have been consistently pleasant, even when I need a cavity filled. He is the first dentist I have had that really takes the time to explain each step of the procedure and checks in with me to make sure I am comfortable during the procedure. Check him out, I have recommended him to both family and friends.

My wife and I just came back from our first appointments with Dr. Scott Capper (Feb 22nd, 2007). Same as last reviewer, we were recommended to go there by a friend. Opposite of negative reviewer, my wife and I both had a completely satisfactory visit. The receptionist, although quite busy, was very personable and friendly. She immediately greeted us in a friendly fashion and was prompt with handling the intake paperwork. My wife was taken in almost immediately and I waited no longer than 8 minutes before the hygenist was walking me back for my cleaning. \r\n\r\nThe office appearance was neat and clean and professional. The setting was modern and open/airy. When we compared notes, my wife gave a glowing report on how nice and friendly the hygenist was and mine was done in the exact same manner - very pleasant, professional and knowledgeable ... and very minimal discomfort for me ... despite 2 years of plaque buildup! (the poor girl!) \r\n\r\nDr. Capper was likewise very amiable and direct and professional. Did not seem like he didn't want to be there at all! Took time to sit down and answer all of my questions and concerns. After we were done, the reception gave us a full report of the treatment plan - including costs and options. \r\n\r\nLike I said, a highly recommended business! The only problem is parking ... but hey, it is Lincoln Park! If you are looking for a new Dentist - I would strongly consider Dr Cappper ... and also I heard great things about Dr. Momongan too from my friend ... and he would know since he sells medical equipment to a lot of Docs in the city and suburbs - plus DPLP was in our Blue Cross/Shield plan!

I was a first time patient at the Dental Practice and was treated very well. Girls at the front were very friendly and helpful. I went back and saw the hygienist and she did a fine job. Dr. Momongan came in and spoke very well to me. My over all visit was a great one. I thought the girls were very nice and gracious to me and my needs! Thumbs up from Mrs. Morris girls!

I went to see Dr Allen Momongan after a co-worker referred me to him. When I arrived, the front desk was nowhere in sight! I had to wait until one of the hygienists came up and she handed me the paperwork and apologized. When the people in the front finally did arrive they ignored me since they were too busy eating. I handed the woman my paperwork and she snatched it out of my hand and told me to sit down - very wierd! When I asked for a key to the bathroom the girl ignored me! She appeared to be text messaging on her blackberry or cell phone. It was strange. I have not ever seen a place so messy too - papers everywhere and half-eaten food and coffee - it just did not present a clean dental office image. \r\n\r\nThe hygienist took me back and she seemed to do a fine job. The dentist came in and did the exam and that was fine. Nothing really eventful except that I wanted a referral for orthodontists. They said that the front desk would help me out. \r\n\r\nI went up to the front and there were three or four people standing there and only one receptionist. The other one, I could see was sitting at this little desk and appeared to be online. I felt bad for the one receptionist bc she looked stressed out but the other one seemed to ignore her pleas for help. It was so strange. After all these people got checked in, it was my turn to speak to the receptionist. By that time, there were two of them again. I explained that I needed a referral to see an orthodonitst for braces. The girl said ""well, call your insurance, we don't know anybody on your plan and you have to call them."" It was the way she said it - very rude and irritated! When I said that my insurance does not cover it anyway, she still REFUSED to help me. Either she was too dense to understand what my insurance said did not matter or she just did not care. I think the failure of this place is the front desk staff. I am not going back simply bc of them!

Pros: Dentist very nice friendly

Cons: Will NOT go back since front desk is SO RUDE!
