Avoid this practice. I was referred to Dr. Brannon by a friend. My first visit was fine. Dr. Brannon thinks he's funny so he's always cracking jokes and being silly, but it was tolerable. He had his staff give me some literature to read

This Dr. is very rude and full of himself. I know it may be hard to believe just reading reviews, however take peoples word ( words ) for it and stay away!! I do not understand why some people find him to be energetic and confident and others say he is arrogant and rude. That is confusing to say the least. I have personally witnessed:
1. screaming at staff
2. making condescending remarks personally at me
3. belittling me
4. off color ""jokes"" ( and I use that term loosely)
5. Other small items I will not mention
Do your research,he cannot keep ANY Drs with him in his practice.. that in itself speaks VOLUMES

This is our first baby here in NC, but we have lived other places and had other babies with other OB's. Therefore, we are familiar with the process and knew what we were looking for when picking a doctor. In our search we wanted someone we could trust. We wanted someone who was confident and would look our for my safety and the safety of our baby to be.
We are 37 weeks now and have been in and out of the hospital a few times. Overall, this has been a fairly good pregnancy, but I have had some issues with headaches. Every step of the way Dr. Brannon has been amazing. Yes, he is quick. Yes, he is fast. Yes, he will tell you exactly what is on his mind. But, the good side of that is that he treats and gets back to you quickly, takes care of your issue with speed and tells you exactly what needs to be done to keep you and your baby safe. He always thinks out his decisions and stands behind them. He is not a doctor who wants to pass the responsibility to anyone else!
It amazes me that for a doctor who has practiced for so many years he still loves and values every baby that he helps bring into the world. He treats each mom and each baby as special and unique.
You will be in great hands if you choose Dr. Brannon!

Disagree completely with any negative reviews. I often find reviews confusing when I am searching out info as you don't know who to believe. If you are like me, trust me when I share my experience to be true. I have been a patient of Dr. Brannon's for 7 years. He has performed a D&C on me after my first miscarriage and showed such support when we found out in his office as a father would show a daughter. Truly amazing. When I mention his name to others I often hear similar stories of generosity and compassion that are too numerous to list. He has delivered 2 of my children and has also provided great counsel. I consider Dr. Brannon to be a Godsend to me and my family. His personality is definitely type A which is not to be negative, just to comment that he is energetic and confident. However when a serious situation arises he is an excellent listener and source of wisdom for anyone who will take the time to get to know him. Definitely give him a call, from one of his biggest fans and no I am not a relative or work in his office. Just thankful to have been referred to him by 5 diff. women on my search for an OB.

I regret being a patient at this office. Dr Brannon is so arrogant and non professional, he thinks hes some sort of comedian and treats his office staff very rude. I overheard serveral comments screamed to the staff just in the short time I was there. He obviously has trouble keeping Drs. in practice with him. I know his website screams Christianity, but I havent witnessed any huge amount of caring or consideration for fellow woman, in this instance.....

I started going to Dr. Brannon in 2003 with my first pregnancy and have been with him since. I have had 2 c-sections and a Novasure procedure and with everyone of them Dr. Brannon was professional and was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. He is not the kind of doctor that holds your hand and coddles you but he will give you the most up to date information, answer all your questions and let you make an informed decision. He wants you to be involved with your health care. He has a strong personallity but he also has a huge heart. His practice is busy but what OB practice isn't? After having an emergency c section I can honestly say that he loves what he does and will do everything he can to bring your baby into this world as healthy as possible. He also is very understanding with gyn issues. He gives you the latest statiscs and information and provides you with the knowledge to make an informed decision.

Was a patient for several years. Witnessed Dr. B yelling at a nurse and saying ""use your head"" over how much betadine was in a cup. ""I've got a patient that's gonna bleed to death and you can't even pour betadine right"". I was feeling comfortable about my DNC until all of this. Glad he didn't want me to die, but the atmosphere was horrible. I'm a nurse and could see that his nurse had poured a 1/2 cup, he wanted a little more. The office staff is just a part of the domino effect it trickles down. They can't get your records sent on time, can't get prior approval on time, can't keep your insurance filed. Every visit meant I had to call my insurance company because this office always thought I owed more money than my co-pay.

I started going to dr brannon in 2007 with my first pregnancy and again with my second preg short after the care was amazing and i do agree that Dr. Rogers does take more time if you like jokes and are easy going go Brannon is your man . I saw dr brannon all thru my pregnancy up to 39 weeks when i saw rogers and sceduled an induction my induction was fine up to the birth part he missed my daughter being born even though they kept paging him my nurse had to get a midwife from another practice to deliever her after that it kept going down hill i had no epidural and got stitches that were painful but that wasent his fault i got released that sunday and did some walking around when i got a sharp lower pain the pain got worse and by sunday was unbearable at first i thought it might be gas or something but it got so bad i couldnt sleep or cough or even take care of my newborn or my toddler finally i called up there and they told me to come in Thank god it was Dr.Brannon he asked mw why i hadnt waited for him jiking around and he asked what was wrong he did an ultrasound and sure enough Dr.Rogers had left placenta in my uterus...you could clearly see Dr.Brannon was not happy at all he was gonna do a dialation and evac in the office but the pain was unbearable and he said he didnt want me to hurt anymore then i already was so i had emergency surgery the next morning while i waited for him to be able to fit me in he was kind a reassuring and pushes scheduled surgeries after i had mine i lost all trust for dr.rogers and am very glad he doesnt work there anymore or i can assure you i would have found another practice

Pros: He cares about his patients

Cons: he can be rushed hes the only dr . there tho

after my C-section, these doctors left a scratchpad, which is similar to a brillo pad inside me, it sat in my bowel for 6 weeks and caused damage...I needed a complete hysterectomy at age 34....this group is rushed and careless...FIND another practice, don't let a mistake like mine happen to you.

Dr. Brannon is very arrogant and rude. I have never been so insulted in all my life. He rushes in and out of your room, without listening to Anything you have to say. He makes inappropriate comments, and takes joking way to far. The first visit he rudely interrupted me, made comments that were not warranted and was very harsh and extremely full of himself. I will NEVER return to this practice, and if you do some research, you will find Dr Brannon cannot keep any other doctors with him.. Wonder why?

I have been with Dr. Brannon for a few years now. I recently had an ectopic pregnancy and Dr. Brannon saved my life and my ability to have children again. He made this difficult time bearable and is taking such good care of me I feel completely at ease with the situation. I would tell anyone to see him. I am very lucky he is right on top of things! He is an angel!

Dr. Z retired, Dr. Scott did not last even a year and so it's down to Brannon and Rogers. I was not happy with my first OB office. I loved my Doctor (Dr. Tartarchek) but did not like the office one bit. A friend recommended Brannon and Rogers and I'm glad. I met Brannon and realized his personality and mine would not mesh. He's very easy going - almost like a beach bum. He was too rushed for me. Rogers was hurried too, but I figured out it was the practice and not him. If you wanted more consult time, you just had to ask in advance and then he would sit down with you and talk. Some of the cancelled appts were office errors. I would ask for Rogers but get Brannon, and I had to wait forever a couple of times. But in an OBGYN office things like women going into labor, long discussions with a woman who may have just had a miscarriage, etc. can really hold up an appt. I try to be very patient. But as far as good care goes, Dr. Rogers was terrific. He answered all my questions intelligently and was never judgmental. I am not Christian and I never got the feeling that mattered. That is very important to me. Be Christian at church but don't preach to me in a Doctor's office - and he didn't. He respected ALL my decisions. Most of the office staff are friendly and remember my name. Rogers will be going solo soon and I will follow him. If I had to choose, I would say my vote is for Rogers as the best of the two. But it's really a personality choice. With ANY doctor, you have to fit and never never be afraid to ask for more time at appts if you need it.

Do not expect to leave here in less than an hour. Every time I go here I wait at least 45 min. in the waiting room and 15 min. laying on an uncomfortable exam table. They book WAY too many patients and it shows from the lack of impersonal service you receive. I always feel rushed and they don't talk down to your level. I had one friend who went there and the doctor forgot about her! They were about to close their office and she was still in the waiting room! Find another place to go to!

On my first visit, I saw Dr Brannon. While nice enough, Dr Brannon is so fast with you, you barely have time to ask questions, much less get them answered. I was 35, diabetic, and concerned about being able to get pregnant. He told me to try for 6 months, then come back. In 6 months, I came back to see Dr Rogers, hoping for a little more time and attention and information. I was 36 years old, not getting pregnant, and worried about health issues that could be preventing it. He told me I should try ANOTHER 6 months, and gave me a spiel about how women assume they are infertile, yada yada, and didn't want to do anything. I begged him to run tests, at least some basic ones, and he tried to guilt me into NOT having the tests run. I quit the practice, and went somewhere else, and turns out, I do have a fertility issue, and if I had listened to him, would have been 6 months longer not knowing and not getting pregnant. Definitely NOT a good place to go if you have fertility questions or concerns.

I have never met three men who love their job and the Lord more. This was my first experience with male OBs, but they were incredible throughout my pregnancy. Dr. Brannon was my primary doctor and we loved him. He was going to be out of the country when I was due to give birth, so their new doctor, Dr. Scott took over my care. If you are looking for a new dr, go see him (or Dr. Brannon or Dr. Rogers, they are all incredible!). He is wonderful at his job, but he also cares about you as a patient and will do whatever it takes to make you comfortable and make sure your pregnancy is healthy. I received better care than I could ever ask for. I hope that when we have our next baby, we will still live here. I could not imagine having another office take care of me during that special time. The office staff and nurses are attentive and caring. The office is usually very busy and we often had to wait a little while, but the care we received was well worth any wait. Dr. Scott would take as much time as need to answer our questions and address any concerns we had. You will not be disappointed if you see these wonderful men for your general health and prenatal care.

Pros: They love Jesus! Caring Service, Deep Concern for your and baby's health, only three drs so you get to know all of them!

Cons: Being in Cary - its a long drive from Wake Forest.

I completely agree with the others who have reviewed this practice. While I have found that the nursing staff is courteous and friendly, Dr. Brannon is out of the room before he steps foot in the room. While this makes the yearly exam quick and painless, it is not what you want for your OB. He has not yet asked me how I am feeling although he did ask me if I had any questions. When I asked him my question, he answered me with a sarcastic question. What really pushed me to look for another OB, he told me that if I didn't like his ways, I would be finding another Dr. Well guess what, that is exactly what I am doing. I will not go through my pregnancy knowing that my physician is only thinking about getting to the next person. I cannot speak about any of the other physicians in the practice but I would not recommend Dr. Brannon to anyone. As an afterthought, I have waited in the waiting room from 35 minutes to 1 hour each time. Find someone else.

I've been a patient of this practice for 11 years. I've had a baby delivered by Dr. Brannon, Dr. Rogers and Dr. Z! I trust them completley, and am looking forward to seeing them again with my new pregnancy. I have always found them to be very open to my questions, and very knowledgable. Often the wait is long, but I know they are giving each patient the care they need.

This practice cancels and reschedules appts at this last min way too much!!! They have called me to reschedule because the doctors were going on vacation! I have gone to my appts twice in the last couple of months only to learn when I get there, the doc had an emergency and had left for the day. This is not a way to run a practice. You can not rely on these doctors to even be there when you show up for your appt. It also feels like they try to rush through to get to the next appt. I don't even feel like I can ask a question about my pregnancy.

I was refered to this practice by a friend, Apparently we have had opposite expiernces. I started off seeing Dr. Brannon, He is a very funny DR. who makes u feel comfortable... but he is the reason why i cry everytime i leave there... He has canceled MANY of my apts, the latest one they canceled 5 min before i was supposed to be there. ( I was in the Parking Lot) ... I then made another apt for the following day and ended up waiting there for over 2 hours for them to tell me to reschedule again... I REFUSED... I have never been there less then an hour and a half... All the time i spend there is Waiting....When the Dr finally sees you checks the babys heartbeat, measures your belly, (doesnt tell you either the heart rate or measurment) And your out... You have no time to ask questions concerning your pregnancy and or baby because they are in such a hurry to catch up for the day... since they are always so behind... I would love to switch Drs, but its too late now i am due in a couple of weeks.

Pros: Delivers at Wake Med Cary

Cons: Could care less about the health of you and your baby

.

After visiting many offices in the area (inc. Triangle OBGYN), I finally found a place I felt at ease. The wait time for a new patient appointment was only 2 weeks (very reasonable in comparison to over a month for some places), and I only spent about 10-15 minutes in the waiting room. They are in a newer building so everything is done up nicely, and front desk and nursing staff were very friendly! Dr. Rogers met with me for an interview about my health history (and future plans for more children) first, then did my exam. He was thorough but had a casual sense of humor at the same time, making me feel more relaxed. Definitely a change from where I've gone before! I would highly recommend this office to anyone looking for a new OBGYN in this area. I really felt like I was a patient and not a number in this office, and I look forward to working with both doctors when we are ready for our second baby.

Pros: great staff, knowledgable and caring doctors, easy to get to, no long waits

Cons: none so far!

I am a patient of Dr.Brannon. Dr.Rogers delivered my first child. I was induced due to pre-eclampsia. My son did not tolerate high rates of pitocin. I was delivered by c section and then was started on mag sulfate (so my son never had to suffer the consequences of my being on mag). My only issue is that he kept having the nurse increase the pitocin because I wasn't making a ""labor face"". Had I not worked the night before, I would have gotten a wee bit verbal with him. \r
Second pregnancy delivered by repeat section by Dr.Brannon. When I was spotting at 10 weeks, the nurse said it was not an issue. I got a call back within minutes saying that Dr.Brannon wanted me to come in for a quick ultrasound just to make sure because he didn't want me to worry.\r
Both time both docs inquired about how I was coping post-partum. Sure, wait times can be long, but you can't stop babies from coming when they do. If you advocate for yourself and ask questions you will definitely get the attention you are looking for.\r
As a NICU nurse, I definitely recommend this practice.

I was with them for quite a while during my first pregnancy. I finally wised up at 35 weeks! Dr. Brannon was my primary doctor and it was nearly impossible to meet Dr. Rogers because of the hours that they keep. I saw Rogers once and that was a fluke because Brannon canceled his appointments that day and I showed up anyway-- I didn't get the voice mail. I unexpectedly saw Dr. Zilavy early in my pregnancy when I had an appointment with Brannon. They are awful about canceling appointments at the last minute.. also some days (too many for my taste) they are only open from 9am until noon. Some days they close at noon with less than 24 hours notice to their patients who have afternoon appointments. The 2 doctors are rarely if ever there at the same time. They will also call you less than 24 hours before an appointment to try to get you to reschedule at a more convenient time for them. All have happened to me!\r
\r
Since I have almost no experience with Rogers, I will stick with Brannon while I discuss the issues. My smallest issue is with his dress. A crumpled t-shirt and shorts does not scream ""professional""! This is typical dress for him. Now on to bigger issues... \r
\r
He does not let you finish a question before trying to answer it. He won't let you get past 41weeks without inducing -even though 41-42 weeks is not considered overdue for a first baby according to ABOG. He is very rushed and makes you feel as if you are wasting his time with silly questions about your care. He does not like information that you have gained from reading. He does not feel the baby at all during the late week appointments... it's on your back, measure the belly, hear the heart and up. He uses fear of having a large baby to get you to agree to interventions that you may not need. He has one of the highest induction and c-section rates in the triangle area. He is impatient and disorganized and may forget that you are in a room waiting for him.\r
\r
That is all I will say now.

Pros: None that I can think of

Cons: Disorganized, impatient, appointments not honored, VERY interventive!!

Dr. Brannon is WONDERFUL!! When I was having lots of trouble finding a doctor while I was having a miscarriage at 6wks, Dr. Brannon's office got me an appt the same day and welcomed me to their practice. Dr. Brannon was so kind and sincere. He was the first doctor that has talked to me like real person (with actual feeling and questions) since all of this started. His compassionate service today will make me a patient forever and one who will always recommend his services. Couldn't find a nicer doc!!

Dr. Brannon delivered both of my kids. With my first I had a birth plan and everything. Dr. Brannon talked to me about it. Honestly Dr. Brannon was right, I ended up having to have an epiderul because I could not really relax and let the baby come. With my second a friend gave me hypnobirthing CD's which were a life saver. I was very skeptical, but just listened to one of the cd's every night for 30 minutes in the last 6 weeks before the birth. When I got to the hospital, it turns out my bp skyrocketed, but because I was listening to the hypo-birthing cd's, the baby came very quickly (in an hour after checking into the hospital). I didn't have to have a C-section with either child. I totally trust Dr. Brannon and am grateful he delivered my 2 kids. I will agree there have been times where I went for an appointment, and he was delivering another baby or something, and I had to wait too long. For the competency of Dr. Brannon, he's great. I also had severe post partum depression with my first child. Dr. Brannon recommended that I go on the anti-depressant a few weeks before my second child was born. This was also wonderful because I was able to enjoy the second birth so much more.

I would advise any pregnant woman to find another practice. Both men have zero bedside manners and discourage you from participating in your own care. Examples: I asked Dr. Rogers if stretching was the best way to avoid a tear (I tore with my first child), he said that stretching would not prevent a tear and I would end up with up floppy down there and would need surgery to correct it. When I said that I was told to do stretching at the birthing class I took at WakeMed, he said that the nurse who taught that class has probably never even assisted in an actual delivery and that both those classes and the internet do nothing but ""perpetuate ignorance."" Wow, so much for trying to understand what's going on with your pregnancy! So I thought that at least Dr. Brannon was good, but my 38 week appointment today changed my view. The nurse takes me back to a room, tells me to undress from the waist down, that he's going to check my cervix. An hour later and still no doctor, so I get dressed and go back to ask where the doctor is. Turns out he just skipped my room. So I go back to my room, get undressed again, and when he does come in, the first thing he says is ""Why are your pants off?"" Not sorry I'm late, sorry I skipped your room, but ""why are your pants off?"" I tell him that the nurse told me to do so, that I'm 38 weeks and she said you would check my cervix. He did, although he said he doesn't normally until 39 weeks. And to make me even more mad, after waiting there for an hour he spent less than two minutes with me, talked like he was on speed, made snide comments about HIPPA, Clinton, and that's the future of socialized medicine ladies and gentlemen. Both of them make me regret asking any questions or saying anything. As a result, I'm going to try to find someone else to deliver my baby, even though I'm so close to my due date. I just can't stomach the idea of either of these arrogant you know whats delivering my baby.

Pros: They are doctors

Cons: Too many to list

.

I will not waste my time seeing them. They have terrible staffs and the doctor just come in for hi and bye, will not spent time for questions, always in a hurry for the next patient. This is a money mill that do not have time for care. \r
I will NOT recommend.

Dr. Rogers is a very competent, approachable doctor with a good bedside manner. Dr. Zilavey is much the same. Dr. Brannon, however, is antagonistic to questions and relevant medical information that counter induction and c-sections. I left this practice after my first child was induced and had to be delivered via c-section. The nurses at the hospital told me that Dr. Brannon had the highest c-section rate of any doctor there!! I wish I had known this info before. Please ask any ob/gyn you are interested in their views on induction and their c-section rate as a good practice. Honestly, if Dr. Rogers had his own practice, I would go there instead.

I've known Dr. Brannon since 2002 . I was blessed to have had him as my doctor. I suffered 2 miscarriages with him and he was very compassionate. He delivered my 4th and final baby girl. Anytime I needed him he was always right there for me. He ' s sincere in the way he talks with you and he's got a fun great sense of humor about him that I love. He knows his stuff as well ,I totally trusted him. Dr. Rodgers is excellant too. He was very courteous towards me. And finally Dr Zillavey . Very professional sincere doctor. \r
\r
I would highly recommend all 3 doctors. \r
The practice was like a family to me. The nurses are great . They always returned my messages in a timely matter. Unfortunately, My family and I moved to San Diego. I will miss everyone.

Drs Brannon and Rogers are fantastic! I've been seeing Dr Brannon for over 10 years and love him. He makes those girlie doc appointments go quickly because of his talkative bedside manner, but he doesn't miss a thing! Both doctors were great during my pregnancies and Dr Brannon delivered both of my children. Both doctors each have children and are very family oriented. I continually recommend them!

Dr. Rogers is an angel in disguise. Not only is he an excellent doctor with incredible expertise in his field but he is a kind and caring physician. As a first time mother with a difficult pregnancy he made the entire experience enjoyable. He has delivered every baby in our family. Two were a challenge and would not be here without him. The waiting room times can be long but he is well worth the wait! I am a huge advocate of this practice....his staff is a pleasant added bonus!

I am a huge fan of this physician. Despite the very busy practice, he always gives me the time and attention that I need. There have been several times where I called and needed to be seen the same day, the staff fit me into his schedule. He not only provides medical advice...he also gives advice from a Christian perspective. He always gives credit to the Lord. I would highly recommend Dr. Brannon.
