The adult inpatient program at Loma Linda University Behavioral Medicine Center (LLUBMC) offers inpatient crisis stabilization to patients who are suffering from a behavioral psychiatric condition. The focus of treatment is to stabilize the patient and refer to a lower level of appropriate care. The emphasis of treatment for our patients is to provide the quality and quantity of treatment required to assist both the patient and his or her family to work toward a smooth transition into the community, with the greatest possible degree of appropriate independent functioning.. A full program is offered seven days a week for each patient admitted to the adult unit. Offered daily are: core group therapy,treatment planning goals group,family groups,occupational therapy,recreational therapy,stress management groups,nutritional groups,medication education,and chaplain services. In addition,community meetings are offered enabling community members to contribute and offer input into the various components of the program. Families are strongly encouraged to participate in these meeting so that they can support and reinforce positive personal growth and education to their loved one.
