Just received a call from this company today, offering me a "free" security system. When I said I wasn't interested, the man insulted me and hung up. Very rude and unprofessional. This must be a scam.

I had Maximum Security aka Trust Alarm install 2 alarms for me. One in my home and the other in my business. I used 2 different credit cards to pay for each transaction, one personal and the other business. Within 30 days both credit cards were compromised for purchases in Sacramento and Citrus Heights, CA. I live in Florida. Maximum Security was the only common link between these 2 credit cards. DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE ACCESS TO YOUR PERSONAL BANKING INFORMATION.

I had Maximum Security aka Trust Alarm install 2 alarms for me. One in my home and the other in my business. I just wanted to post what has happened to me with Maximum. The sales rep that come to my house was very professional and so was the Service Tech. that came to install the equipment. The Service Tech was GREAT how he worked with me to find the best stop where to put this system which was NOT easy, but was very concerned that it worked both for me and the system.

However, I did have a problem with the install and ended up talking to the Regional Sales Manager who was awful to deal with. After hanging up the phone from him I call my Sales Rep to get Andrew Higgins phone number. After talking to Andrew Higgins who was VERY professional and understood all my concerns and handled any of the problems I had very quickly (within a couple of days).

The system will be installed tonight and I will write another review after all the problems have been resolved and I get a chance to use the system because I think Andrew Higgins and his company needs a chance. Andrew Higgins has gone above and beyond to save my business and was very concerned on what had happened to me. It is amazing the the owner of the company would take that much concern over what had happened to me!

So I will keep you posted but so far Andrew Higgins has kept his word!

They can only remain competitve because they use horrible products
while paying the lowest wages to people without doing any kind
of background check and then getting a horrible monitoring
company like Monitronics to montitor the equipment and then
take over the 3 year contract they sucker you into and you can't
get out of once 3 days have passed. They will rebutt these
complaints, but trust me none of these accusations are false.
Any authority can simply investigate and find these claims to
be true and shut these criminals down. Hopefully they do look
into it and don't let them talk and weasel their way out of it
again.
They have the highest amount of customer complaints in the
business and the lowest amount of customer satisfaction.
They don't make sure any of their installers are licensed
None of their installers have uniforms or stickers or signs
on their person showing the company they represent. Most of them
have never even been seen by the company. So for all I know they
could be hobos, criminals, drug attics or whatever installing
these simple devices. They will be relocating soon to a nearby
Sacramento address probably within the next few months for
some illegal reason I'm sure. Just keep an eye on them till
they are put out of business for giving people a false sense
of security for their equipment don't really work, hasn't saved
anyone and has only brought out law enforcement for false alarms

I was nice to the first call and explained that were i live doesnt need a security system because i am 2 blocks away from the fire department and I know the police chief personally. Three minutes later i received a call back from another rep and i explained i had just spoken with some one from his company. He went off on me and started calling me Chief and how he works 40 miles away from home and i need this service. I explained I have been in sales for 25 years and could not belief his approach. the as a#hol# hung up on me. tried three numbers to get a hold of his supervisor. unsuccessful. I hope they read this send your representative out to put the f#*()ng "free Sign" in my yard and I will kick his f$^%#ng ass in front of the police chief while the fire department makes him the king of the wet t-shirt contest. I can say this company provides people with jobs that have been looking for jobs in this tough economy that would otherwise be on public assistance. i am a single mother living in vacaville California, I was very weary about the call i received from this company, when I had the gentlemen come out to my home, I asked him for some references of some happy customers in my area. Within 20 minutes i had a small list of few people I could contact. Affter contacting them all the response was very positive. PLEASE do your self a favor and consider the sources when you make a decision about getting a system with this company. I have had the alarm in for 3 months now, and I needed them to come back out to add a new sensor to a door I had replaced, they responded quickly and were back out to my home within 24 hours. Additionally I called them at about 8:30pm at noght expecting to get a voicemail, But wa pleasantly surprised that the company is open locally from 6am-10pm, meaning I can call and get an answer to some basic questions, basically whenever i need it done.
Lastly I reveiwed the compnay's BBB file to see that they have only had 23 complaints in the last 3 years. This may seem high to some, BUT...after inquiring I found out that Maximum Security has over 35,000 signed up customer and only having 23 of them upset at the work means that 99.99999998 percent of the customers they sign up are happy. I also notcied that out of the 23 complaints that all of the complaints were resolved with the customer, meaning that they were able to resolve the customers issues promptly. After considering all of this factual data, and considering the sources of the reveiws online I decided that I would work with Maximum Security, and I am glad I did. Just wanted to say that i was worried about signing up for the system becuase i was worried about my job situation. About 8 months after i signed up I lost my job and was out of work for 2 months. I got another job, and that companyy went out of business 6 months later. All in all I have been slow on monthly payments twice now, and both times Maximum Security worked with me. I would apologize and they just kept telling me that as long as I kept in communication, and paid what i could when I had the money that everything would be fine. I have a very steady job right now, and I am so glad that they worked with me, becuase 3 weeks ago someone knocked on the door selling something when I was gone at work, and really freaked out my wife due to the weird questions he was asking, later that afternoon, when she returned from picking up our two kids from schooll, she noticed the same guy trying to get into the backyard. My wife pushed the panic on the remote and I got a call from Monitronics and the guy ran away.
I am so thankful that Maximum did have my service shut off due to the fact that i lost my job, If they would have shut off my alarm, my wife may not have been protecting when she needed it the most. I have since referred 3 nieghors on my block, and the best part was I recieved 3 checks for $100.00 each, i didnt even expect the money and it came in the mail.. We really appreciated the referal money, as like I said times have been rough and we are still catching up on our bills... thanks to the owners of Maximum Security and the great employees for doing a great job, More referalls to come..

I just wanted to say that Maximum Security Is a very professional company. I live in the SF Bay Area and After having a representative come to my home, I decided that I wanted to proceed with the installation of the alarm system. The next Day I recieved some very bad news regarding the health of a close family member, and I was in such a hurry to get to the airport, I forgot to contact The company to inform them that I could not proceed with the installation at that time.
when I finally had time to check to my voicemail after I had arrived, i had a very polite voicemail from Maximum Security saying that they were sorry that we were unable to get the installation done, and that I could call back anytime to reschedule the installation appt. I was expecting them to be upset at me, or tell me that they had cancelled the sale, or charge me a trip charge or another installation fee becuase I missed the appt, instead when I called back to appologize and explain what happened, I spoke to a very nice person named Andrea, she was very curteous, and was simpathetic to the situation at hand, and wished me all the best in taking care of the family member that I was with.
Whats more, when I spoke to Andrea she happened to inquire when I thought I might be home, and I told her that I wasnt sure becuase I needed to help my Aunt in Vermont handle some affairs after she gets out of the hospital. To my surpise she had informed me that when my Aunt gets out of the hospital. she wanted me to know tha they would happy to get her a system to protect her home as well. I told her that she wasnt concerned really about security since she lived out in the country, but that she needed to get something to help alert the paramedics in case of a medical emergency (In fact the reason she was in the hospital was becuase she suffered a heart attack and was unable to alert anyone for hours).
Andrea informed me that they offered Medical monitoring systems, equipped with panic buttons and even smoke detectors for fire. When my Aunt got out of the hospital I told her about what Maximum Security could offer her. Needless to say I called back and spoke to Andrea, and They even had an installer at my Aunts door the very next morning to install the system for my Aunt. My Aunt loves the system and I am so relieved that she now has something to help her when no one is around.
After I returned home 2 weeks later Maxiumim Security gave me a cuteousy call to see if I was ready to have the system installed, and I was able to fit it in my schedule the next afternoon...
All in all it was nice to know that I had a company protecting me that was so on top of things, obviously if they were this conciensious of getting my alarm installed, then they will be great when it comes to protecting my home. And Lastly it was very convienient that they were able to install an alarm for my Aunt even though she lives 3000 miles away.

My mother got a call from a guy named Joe who told us we could get a free alarm system. I was pretty skeptical and got on the phone with the man, Joe told me to just let the consultant come out to the home and he would go over everything and there was no obligation.
When the man came to me home, he was very professional and wore a shirt and tie. He went over the concerns that we had about the system, and we were able to agree on a price that was affordable. under 40 bucks a month. when I asked about getting something for my mothers heart condition. he called his manager and the manager Bruce got on the phone and spoke to me, Bruce was very kind and offered to throw in a medical pendat so if my mom fell she could hit the panic button and they would send help right away. I offered to pay for half but Bruce told me that he wanted to make sure my mother was taken care of.
I"ll be honest I was skeptical like most people might be about getting a call on the phone, but after dealing with Joe and Bruce and the other man, I am so glad that we made this decision. I dont know what I would do if I came home and my mom was hurt or couldnt get to the phone. now I know that this will nevr happen to us. I want to say thanks again. I Just started working for this company 3 months ago. Honestly, when I first showed up for a interview, I had no idea what I was in for. There was nothing in the room, but chairs and applications. The whole company seem pretty fishy. After getting hire and going through the training the following day. I started to figure out the company. The turn over was unbelievable, I mean come on it is a telemarketing job. If your not making the company money, then your not making yourself any money. Everyone was given a couple of weeks to prove there skills. During the training, we had one-on-one help from the floor managers, giving us advise and tips on setting a lead; to not wasting our times on some people. Also, they didn't hire everyone that showed up to the interview! For the first couple of days if you needed help a floor manager was always there. We can't blame the company for suspending employee who aren't meeting there quotes. That's how a company runs. Same goes to Neiman Marcus. If you don't make you quote for that week your wasting the company money. The company is there to make money NOT friends. If you can't handle making your quotes then don't look for a job in sales. It's not a SCAM or a FAKE company. IT'S A REAL COMPANY TRYING TO MAKE IT, LIKE EVERY OTHER COMPANY. For everyone who rated the company a 1 star, don't be upset at the company for your bad phone skills. Instead of talking trash about a company your unhappy with, start your own telemarketing company and see if you enjoy wasting your money and thousand of people who aren't meeting there quotes each day. DON'T LET THE "EX" EMPLOYEE FOOL YOU, THERE A REASON WHY THERE A "EX"

Read Monitronics reviews as well and check out the BBB reviews. I think they have a D- rating. They just want the sale and don't care how they get it or what they promise. Andy Higgins, Dave Higgins, Denise Higgins and Karen Higgins are all liars. I made money selling for these guys yes, but when I started to see what they do to customers, I bailed. After they sold me on a system, maximum Security was unable to setup said system, Then they tried to get me to add more stuff (wirelesses add on for 400$ more?) that I did not want or need. After they broke the contract, I was told that they would refund all charges, a month later still no refund.

I went to the "interview", no receptionist, no one to greet us, and there were 23 of us for this "interveiw" People were not dressed for sucess to say the least, andi was shocked that 20 out of 23 came into the second part...only 4 were cut out after out 8 hour day of training...

SO on the call center floor, and wow, dont get to listen to anyone pitch or even meet someone who can give pointers...just me and a binder and some leads ...great motivation huh...

One of the many cocky promotions managers gets on the phone to show us how its done, and was soo rude to the guy on the phone...saying stuff like " thats great you hace a 38, what do u think thats going to do for you...arrogant and immature sounding in front of new staff...he got hung up one interestingly enough..

O yea and no clocking in for training so it better be paid becasue ive already calledin to say im not showing up on monday and to find out when I can get my measly 50 dollar check...

After quitting upon discovering that the company and Monitronics (the alarm system they peddle) has hundreds of complaints filed about them about the country, I actually called back all of the appointments I set to warn them.

I should have known. In this day and age you should always google a company you are interviewing for. THey don't even have their own website but you sure will find a lot of negative reviews from former employees and customers.

In my opinion, this is the best company that I have ever worked for, and I am 46 years old with many, many years of work experience. I am a very hard working, honest guy and I would not work for a company this is not top notch and also honest. At first, I too was skeptical - as matter of fact, I almost didn't go to the interview. But after interviewing with them, and meeting the management staff including the owner Andy Higgens, I decided to join the company.. The surprising thing to me was that the more that I found out about this company, and the management, the more impressed I was. The management staff is very dedicated to making the customer happy. I know this firsthand because whenever one of my customers has a problem, I have always gotten excellent response from management. I am new, but I have sold 8 systems in one week. One customer had a problem where one of her doors would set off the alarm after she armed it and tried to leave. The installer was new - he had many years of experience installing ADT, but he wasn't used to programming a Monitronics system. I went to my customer's house called my manager. Rather than have an installer come out, we decided to fix the problem right then and there. We re-programmed the system to meet every need of this one particular customer. I know it was a frustrating circumstance for the customer, and I apologized for the inconvenience, but the point is that once we knew there was a problem, we fixed it right away. We did this at 9:30 pm two nights ago.

The point is that the owners of this company are willing to work very hard to make the customer happy - I know, because I work with them every day. I can call my management team at any time of the day or night and get help for my customers.

In my opinion, this is an excellent company with dedicated, hard-working, professional people.
