I came here to get my son's eyes checked and inquire about contacts for him which cost me $120.00. I have been coming here before for 3 years and every year I came here, it looked more dirty than the previous year. It looks really unsanitary. Anyhow, when we told Dr. Ciampa my son wanted to get contacts, he tried really hard to convince us to buy the brand he carried. He gave me coupons and told me I would be getting a "great deal" on very good contacts by spending about $400.00. I made a quick phone call to my sister who wears contacts and she informed me to get samples of different contacts (which Dr. Ciampa didn't have) because we might realize my son might not like the brand he carries for his eyes or might find another brand more comfortable. When we showed less interest in buying and had our own questions Dr. Ciampa got very upset. At one point he raised his voice, was clearly angry and stand-offish, all of which looked like he was trying to intimidate and bully me. I asked if I could have a pair of contacts to make sure they worked well for my son. He advised me he could not have a pair for free. The receptionist told me that for $50.00 they can give us a sit down session and show my son how to apply contacts. Mind you, a box of contacts will cost about $45.00. I agreed only because I knew this was the only way my son could learn to put on contacts ( I did not get a box of contacts by the way included). While doing the sit down session, Dr. Ciampa entered the room as if nothing had happened and shook my hand (???). The try-on table in the room was not sanitary at all. It was dusty with dirty bowls and water marks on it, and there were used paper napkins, and trash too since the contact came in an individually sealed small package, and they did have hand soap available, I was not to concern about him getting an eye infection while trying to put on contacts, only for that reason. I left his office knowing I will NEVER return again. He gave me a hard time about giving me a prescription for contacts so I can buy them somewhere else. It was only for "two refills". Normally, doctors will give it to you for ONE YEAR. I took the prescription to another optometrist, who charged me $30.00 for an eye exam and gave us SEVERAL, yes SEVERAL brands of eye contacts for FREE, and it was explained to us that is the way it should be done. Each brand is different and fits different on your eye, and has different moisture to it as well. They even gave him colored contacts for fun. Costco worked great for us for this reason. Dr. Ciampa was also upset to see that his employee had opened a pair of contacts to try on themselves and give my son a better example of how to put them on! We also got a new prescription for a WHOLE YEAR from this new optometrist at Costco at no extra charge and was nice enough to allow us to ask as many questions and show my son how to put on contacts. Nobody should have to be bullied into buying something you don't want, or given less than adequate service for your money. This man's business ethics and his behavior are unacceptable. Don't waste your money and time coming to Dr. Christopher Ciampa in Norwalk. Go somewhere where they will actually treat and see you as the patient and client you are.

Well I'll start with the first person I dealt with, the receptionist Patty. Patty is a liar! The staff is pushy and all the receptionists sitting around acting busy are really pushy. They all ask you one by one to get this exam and that exam. They are highly UNPROFESSIONAL. I DO NOT recommend this place to anyone. The doctor has his lease to pay, therefore he rips customers off and wants to charge an arm and a leg for glasses/ contacts. Once you've given them an amount to place an order for your glasses/contacts, they call you back asking for more money down in order to go ahead to place your order. THIS IS CALLED LYING/STEALING. They are thieves and liars, they never gave me my deposit for my order, even when they did not place an order in the first place. It was all a trick. I did not receive my order ever, nor my money deposit. I DID NOT GET A PRODUCT from them. Furthermore, there are is a little skinny blond woman, not sure what her name is, but she is the pushiest. She went inside while I was taking my other exams, kept asking me to get this exam also and that one and this one and that one. After I had already told her and the other receptionists NO from the start! I've been wearing glasses/contacts for a long time and this place has been my worst experience ever! My attorney is now involved.

I highly recommend Ciampa vision center. The staff here is great, very friendly. The atmosphere in the clinic is very nice, everything is well displayed and well organized. The prices are reasonable and parking space is always available. You don't have to wait long to see the Dr. with an appointment.

I have been visiting Dr. Christopher Ciampas for about a year now. The Dr is really great and I am always satisfied with my visits. This place is located in a mini shopping center right off the 605 freeway by Cerritos college. I highly recommend this doctor, you won't be disappointed.

Dr. Ciampas is the Optometrist that I have been going to for the past 6 years. He is extremely thorough in his examination and provides great one-on-one care.

He is on the higher end of the price spectrum, but well worth the extra money.
