Stuart Armstrong gave my 2 cats who are sisters a clean bill of health before vaccinating them in June 2011. On Aug 17 I brought both cats in to be boarded. I was told when I booked the date that there would be no problem putting them in the SAME crate which is what they needed. They loved each other and groom each other and comfort one another. When I got there to sign papers for boarding, a little girl behind the desk said they could not put 2 cats together as per Armstrong. I said I was going to take them back, but she changed her story and said, ok we'll put the 2 of them together. I explained they have never been away from me and that they MUST be together. On Monday morning, Aug 22, 2011 I picked up my girls and took them home. One cat was back to herself, but the other cat, Kaya, was listless and laying on the floor not moiving around. I took this as depression and figured since no one said anything to me at the facility as to whether she had a hard time, that she'd snap out of it. On Tuesday, Aug 23, Kaya was hiding, so I went to work. Upon my return from work, she layed down on the living room floor. I picked her up and held her and then put her back on the floor. She stretched out her legs and let out a piercing scream and died right there. My 4 yr old healthy cat was now dead after being at BEST VET. She bled from her mouth and anus. I immediately ran to another animal hospital where she was pronounced dead. On Wed afternoon I confronted Armstrong and one of his ditzy techs and I said I absolutely knew they were not together in the same crate to which they lied to me at first and then Armstrong said, "they were together in one cage for a while and then separated." I knew they lied to me. I believe my cat was poisoned by something in their facility. They accused my cat of being covered in ants, which I told them was a total and complete lie. They retracted that statement and said they were thinking of another cat. IF SOMEONE TOOK THE TIME TO LOOK AT THEM AND HANDLE THEM FOR A FEW MINUTES, THEY WOULD HAVE REALIZED THAT KAYA WAS DYING. When I started to cry, Armstrong and his tech walked out of the room. HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE FACILITY. BE CAREFUL. BE SMART and take your animals to LUND ANIMAL HOSPITAL in Boca Raton on Federal Highway where they truly take care of all the animals in their facility. t
