Office operations are a nightmare! They told us we were scheduled for appointments we never made and would be charged if we didn't show. I've had to fill out one form three times (so far) because they keep loosing it. They don't return calls. Staff prioritizes lunch breaks over servicing customers. Had to sit and wait over an hour to be seen for appointments on multiple occasions. Probably because they try to shove as many patients into the day as possible. We were just a number to them. And still, they've been unable to schedule new appointments because their "computers are down" for days at a time. I could go on and on.
Having a baby should be a wonderful and happy experience, but this office made everything frustrating and stressful. Until they get new office managers and staff, do yourself a favor and stay away.

Pros: they didn't kill my baby

Cons: treated like a number, and the hour+ wait

Capital Area OB/GYN has the most kind and caring doctors in the area. They really take the time to listen to my concerns. I have been to several different doctors offices looking for just the right one. Now I can stop looking. Capital Area OB/GYN is the place for me. Their staff is very friendly and helpful with any concerns I have while in the office. They make you feel welcome. I would highly reccommend this office to anyone who is new to the area and looking for an OB/GYN office.

I love this practice, I think they are wonderful. You do have to wait a bit, but the passion the physcians have for the patient is wonderful. I have had 4 kids with this practice and have been for a long time and each of the physicians have treated me with respect. The front have been wonderful in each of the cary and raleigh office. I have recommended many friends to this practice and will continue to do so. Even my friends and some of my co-workers love this practice.

I was a first time mom and was scheduled for an induction on a Tues. I went into labor the Friday before and called the office. The Dr. on call said "I didn't sound like I was in agony yet" so to wait because I probably was not ready. Sat night I was feeling ALOT of pain so I took the 1/2 drive to Rex and was seen by Dr.Michael F. Buckley, M.D. , he said I was not dilated enough, gave me MORPHINE for the pain, said "we don't give inductions on the weekends and sent me home"... The nurse also added "she too is a bad patient " and I tought "a bad patient I am in labor first time", I am scared and in ALOT of pain and now I need to go home 1/2 hour away and just suffer. And that's what I did the whole next day (Sun) and evening, I couldn't get out of the warm bath tub because the contractions were so painful and was afraid to call Buckley because I felt so not taken care of and afraid he would say "come in" only to give me more morphine and send me home once again. I would NOT recommend this group, they treat you like cattle and it is VERY difficult to build a Dr/patient relationship with any of the Dr's because every time you go you see another Dr. who by the way some DO NOT have a great bed side manner. And god for bid you go into labor on a Friday night and don't dialte enough, then you will have a memory of an experience of labor like as if you were in the early 1900's

Pros: Next to Rex Birthing Center.

Cons: Treat patients like cattle, impossible to create secure Dr/Patient relationship, neglectful towards patients needs.

Pros: Located next to Rex birthing center.

Cons: Treated like cattle, inpossible to form secure relationship with Dr.,insensitive to 1st time mothers.

I have been going to see Dr. Barrett for the last 3 years for my annual exam and other problems. I have also seen other physians in the practice. Each time I have been to the practice, the staff has been very helpful in getting me back. I have had to wait for a little bit of time, but I do see why that has happened because each time I have been there, the physicians takee their time with each of their patients. I have recommended several of my friends and colleagues to this practice and in conversing with each of them, their experience has been great. I recommend this practice to everyone. They are caring, patient. It is about patient care.

I went to this office simply because it had a facility close to my home in Cary. Unfortunately, I was not made to feel comfortable with any of the 6 doctors with the exception of the doctor that I had 4 visits with before she left the practice. The staff was also extremely unfriendly. As a first time Mom, I had higher expectations of being helped through this huge and sometimes scary event in a woman's life. Needless to say I am not going back to this office for my second child.
