Great Customer Service

.

The transmission in my 2006 Suburban first went out at 122,000 miles just outside New Braunfels. A local mechanic recommended a local shop. The local guy told me he could rebuild it for $1,500 including the tow - good deal right? Even warranteed the rebuild for 12 months / 12K miles.

Fast forward eight months and twenty something thousand miles - here come the same problems that precluded the first rebuild. This time I had choices and a friend recommended Eagle Transmission. When i brought it in Joe and Tim told me it could be a lot of things - from a $26 part to a full rebuild. Well.....it was another full rebuild. I told the guys about my previous rebuild and gave them the receipt. They went over it part by part and verified that the other guy did in fact do everything he charged me for - he just didn't do everything he needed to do and he used shoddy parts.

Joe walked me around the entire shop and explained the workings of an automatic transmission to me (black majic up to that point) and how they operate the shop, from the tear down tables through to the rebuild rack. I was really surprised by how clean and organized everything was. My Grandfather ran a shop, and it was nothing like this.

Joe and Tim explained what had gone wong with my transmission and the repairs and upgrades they would do. Two days later I got my truck back and it was perfect. Having these guys do the job right cost me a few hundred dollars more than having someone else do it wrong. There's not a doubt in my mind that my transmission is back to 100%, and if I do have a problem in the future, I know these guys will stand behind their work and their 3 year 36K mile warranty.

No one likes having their car worked on, and everyone has a story about being burned. Finding honest people to work on your car is a rare piece of mind. I couldn't recommend these guys more highly.

My transmission had literally exploded. The first place I took it to gave me a price before they even picked up a wrench or screw driver. I found Eagle on the Internet, called them and they towed my truck to there shop for free. I received a quote after they actually thoroughly inspected it.
Tim answered all of my phone calls, never became annoyed with how often I called, and never rushed me off the phone. Great service, free towing, fair price, completed on time, always kind and present, and truck is running like new. Thanks again Tim for putting my truck back together again!

When the transmission went out in my son's 2002 Mercedes C240, I was referred to Eagle Transmission by a local mechanic and had it towed there. Having never dealt with them before, I didn't know what to expect. They did an excellent job in rebuilding my son's transmission and kept me informed during the entire process. Manager Tim Kilpatrick was most professional and courteous. I would recommend Eagle Transmission to everyone.

In 2009 my son and I purchased a 2002 Acura RSX Type S in excellent condition, so we thought!
The transmission went out so I asked around, I got yes and no's on AAMCO, Cottman and B&M. No one I asked had used Eagle Transmission, I chose them for that reason. I must say it's the best choice I've made in years. The shop is female friendly and Tim went above and beyond my expectations of service. There was communication on parts, prices and labor. He checked both local dealerships in town to acquire the most reasonable prces for parts he couldn't get himself, and even let us purchase the clutch we wanted from a 3rd party and they installed it! Eagle Transmission will now be our only shop for any type of transmission services and all that we recommend. The transmission rebuild and clutch replacement was all A+ work. My son Kris says it best, "The transmission now shifts like a hot knife through butter."

I was very at ease with Tim after with one conversation on the phone and knew I wanted Eagle transmission to do my repairs. I ask a lot of question about the cost of repairing a transmission and they did not try to sugar coat the cost to get my business. The estimate they gave me was a little higher than the actual cost. I tried to get estimates from other transmission repair businesses but they would not try to give me an estimate. The free towing was great and service afterwards was great. Thank you Time and Eagle Transmission

I called several transmission shops on Saturday, to only get an answering machine. I was not aware transmission shops are normally closed on weekends. I was about to give up when I called Eagle Transmissions in Austin Texas @ 512-448-4747 @ 6218 Manchaca Rd. My call was quickly answered by Joe Warner. He was extremely nice and offered me information about his shop. He gave me a level of comfort that I don't normally come across easily when dealing with auto repair. I looked up the Eagle Transmission site while on the phone with Joe and realized Joe was the owner. How awesome was that? Not only did Joe have all the calls to his shop picked up over the weekend, he had the calls transferred to his personal cell. This really identified the depth of care the owners had at this shop. I was hooked. I took my car in for some minor transmission work and was even able to use a $25 coupon I found on-line. There is a $250 coupon available for Major Repairs, mine was minor. My vehicle was ready within 24 - 36 hours. WOW! No excuses, no nothing, other then your car is ready sir. The last shop I had it at "Corrie's Transmissions" out of San Antonio never got the issue fixed. I had to take it to Corrie's Transmissions three times with no resolve. Could Eagle Transmissions be this good? THEY WERE THAT GOOD!!. My car's tranny is fixed, no leaks, and feels strong, and at a pretty decent price. I have never had a positive auto experience in my entire life until now. How freaking awesome. Oh and guess what? Joe Warner, just personally called me (two weeks) after the repair to follow-up with me. I was really in disbelief that Joe was calling. Could he be opening up a can of worms? Not if he felt very strongly about his service and repair, and he was right. Great Service and repair. I just got off the phone with Joe and thanked him for reaching out to confirm customer satisfaction with the repair and service. As long as this place is in business I will always offer my positive experience with them to anyone who wants info. You are welcome to email me at calaban55@yahoo if you would like to speak to me about their great service, if your not convinced yet. Do yourself a favor and reach out to Joe or Tim his manager.

Pros: The Owners Care about their business

Cons: I only found out about them this year

.

I found the folks at Eagle Transmission to be extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Additionally, their prices were very reasonable compared to other transmission places in Austin. I have a very old vehicle, a 1972 Dodge camper and they did a wonderful job for me. I will definitely take my other vehicles to Eagle Transmission when they need transmission service.

So there I was, in Austin's rainy MoPac traffic. I thought, my tires just keep slipping. I had no traction on a little hill. It wasn't until I exited and began heading home, instead of work, that I realized it wasn't my tires, it was my transmission. It was actually slipping in transit at 40 MPH. I didn't know what to expect, but the first thing I did was get online and check out reviews of local transmission businesses. Eagle Transmission had absolutely no negative feedback and they were close to my house, but with so many locations I guess you'd be hard pressed to live where there wasn't one in Austin! I took my car there for an inspection. They concurred it was my transmission, but they couldn't really do anything until Monday. They called by 10 am Monday and told me, to my chagrin, it WAS the worst case scenario. The entire transmission had to be replaced. It was shredded. They completed the work by Wednesday. Tim, the manager was so informative, professional and friendly. They offer a 3 year warranty on their work and I'm sure I know why. They are really good. They never expect that you will ever need to call them to repair that transmission again. After the work was done, Tim told me to bring the vehicle back either after 2 weeks or 500 miles, when it was "broken in", for an inspection. I followed through with that last week and they validated my warranty. During the 10 minutes I waited for the inspection be to completed, Tim explained if there was any issue at all I should not hesitate to bring it back right away, and they would make it right. They also honored their offer of up to $250, which was reflected in the final bill. Then a week later, Joe, the owner, called me and asked if I was pleased with my service? Was my car performing well? Would I recommend Eagle Transmission to others? I answered with a resounding "Yes!" on all counts. Courteous, professional service, great follow up and a car that's rolling along better than ever. How could you ask for more? Very pleased with the service having my 4x4 transmission rebuilt with Eagle. I felt very fairly treated. There were no surprises and the costs were competitive. I don't know if there is cheaper, probably so, but noone that I am going to trust my vehicle and money going to. Great treatment and peace of mind!
