LUXE Permanent Cosmetics

★★★★★
Permanent makeup is the application of pigment into the skin by the tattooing method. This art is perfect for anybody who has lost their hair or pigment for any reason, have skin sensitivities to, or anybody who just wants to wake up with makeup! The vision impaired, and others with motor impairments who find it difficult to apply their own makeup benefit greatly as well. Ever wish you could go to the beach or pool and not have to worry about your makeup coming off? Whatever your reason, each client of mine is an individual with unique wants and desires and I do my very best to make them your reality.

I cannot say enough about Nikki. I went to her and didn't know what I wanted. She gave me great advice, she did a fantastic job on my eyebrows. I would not hesitate to send my friends to her and return myself for more procedures. She is awesome.....

Words cannot explain my experience I had with Nikki. She was the utmost professional, friendly, and spent whatever time was necessary to get the job done right. I had my eyebrows done & I absolutely LOVE THEM. They look so natural. She is a very personable person and would highly recommend her to anyone who's thinking about it or looking for the best. It's very obvious she uses her creative talent to determine which colors would look the best on you. SHE IS THE BEST!

There are two decisions that I've made this year that were the absolute BEST choices of all times!

The first - to get my eyeliner tattooed on. Last summer I moved from Southeast Massachusetts to Washington, DC and was invited to return again this summer. My first thought was, "I am not going to survive another 100plus degree heat and my beautiful black eyeliner running constantly!!" I sport a punky 80's look, and my eyeliner is a crucial component to my person.
What I also did not know, was that I would be embarking on a particularly emotional and mind-blowing time of encountering past and present losers, family drama, etc. which would result in much crying and flushing out the eyes (and now that's ALL done).
And through it ALL - my eyes and makeup continue to look PERFECT!!! Lemme tell you, that certainly gave me alot of street cred when everyone else looked a mess : )

The second BEST decision I made - was to go to Nikki Leitao for my eyeliner tattoo!!!

I found Nikki when I began researching the field, and was looking through a professional licensure/organization website for cosmetic tattooing. After looking through her VERY detailed website, I also discovered that she is responsible for making it possible to perform this service in Salem, Massachusetts. I figured if she helped to write and push this licensing legislature through, then she was the absolute best - and I was not disappointed.

The price was right (I had saved and budgeted) and I got a little discount for being a first time customer. Don't be fooled by the tattoo shop where Nikki works - she has her own room in the back - with privacy and relaxing music. I appreciated how much time Nikki took with me to make certain that every detail was discussed and confirmed by me. She is an outstanding makeup artist (look at her webpage) and I trusted her completely. Nikki was also REALLY patient with me....I talk alot....I ask alot of questions....I need to externally process everything going on...this woman was AMAZING with me.

After the 4plus hour appointment (yes, she works HARD) I was armed with my takehome kit and directions to make a 6 week "touch up" appointment. This is when Nikki looks to see if there are any spots that have faded, etc. Unfortunately, circumstances caused me to have to move to DC sooner than I thought - so I won't be able to make my appointment until I return in August...but my eyes STILL look amazing. I am sick with allergies and the flu, so I'll post a photo when I look more human.

The first two days after the procedure, I wore my glasses and no contact lenses...and remained mostly indoors. I used the healing ointment in my take-home kit sparingly...and I used the mini freezer pods to sooth the swelling. I've got tattoos and so was ready for the pain...but it really just felt like I had conjunctivitis...and I couldn't pick the crust away.

The result? I look gorgeous.
Thank you, thank you Nikki!

Now I'm going to save up to have her outline my lips a little and balance out the color.
Oh yes, and this saves me SO much time and money!!

If you are looking for a great professional permanent makeup artist, then you must go to Nikki! I had my lower eyeliner done several months ago and just returned to get my top eyeliner done with wings. She definately takes the time to get it done right. Nikki doesn't rush though it to just get it done. She takes a lot of pride in her work and I trust her totally doing my makeup. It's a very comfortable experience because not only does she chat with you during the procedure, but she uses the right amount of numbing cream so that you don't feel any discomfort. I've had my eyeliner done at another place about 4 years ago and it was very uncomfortable and actually hurt. And, I did notice that Nikki washes her hands numerous times which is an A+ in my book! So, I give Nikki 5 stars and 2 thumbs up!

I had my eyebrows done in 2005 by someone who did a terrible job, so when I found Nikki in 2009 I was extremely happy! She was working an hour away from where I live but the trip was worth it. When it comes to letting someone else be in control I can be a pain in the butt, especially when it has to do with my face, but she was very patient with me! After all the time she spent getting them exactly the way I wanted them, I loved the way they came out and got so many compliments on them.
Now almost 2 years later I was way over due for a touch up. Luckily I was able to find her again, now working in Salem (1 1/2 hours from me and still TOTALLY worth the drive!). The day of my appointment I had the worst luck ever and ended up being an hour late. She was cool about everything and still worked on me, again being patient with my OCD about my eyebrows! It's only been a few days since I got them done but I love them, and once again couldn't be happier with what Nikki has done.
Last night I went to a local tattoo shop and was asked who had done my eyebrows. Apparently clients come in and ask about having permanent makeup done, but no one at the shop does it anymore. I gladly gave them all of Nikki's info so that next time someone comes in asking about permanent makeup they can be referred to Nikki. She is extremely talented and clean, always washing her hands before and after she touches anything. Everything is sterile and her room is neat and put together. Not to mention I love her personality, she definitely makes you feel comfortable. I would absolutely recommend Nikki to everyone looking for a permanent makeup artist, you will not find anyone better than her!

After seeing a friend with permanent makeup on her eyes and eyebrows done, I wanted to try it. My friend went to an expensive salon way out of my price range! She found one of Nikki's specials online for me, I couldn't wait to try it!

I can tell you it's one of the best gifts I gave myself! I had my eyes done and can't wait to have my eyebrows done. Nikki is a very professional makeup artist....An awesome makeup artist!

Thanks Nikki!!
