I recently used the service department at Tom Bannen and have been very pleased with the knowledge and level of serivce received from Greg McNeil. Thanks so much for all of your hard work and kindness.
GREAT SERVICE! My service guy ( I believe ""Greg"") was wonderful and very helpful. I needed my truck by the weekend for a trip and, I fully expected to be hosed by a dealership, but my truck was towed there anyway by local wrecker service ( lady tow driver - go figure!). \r
Said I needed a fuel pump ( which I figured) and it was $650.00, which sounds bad but priced it elsewhere and found that they were not only cheaper than another dealer, but also cheaper than Pep Boys! Pep Boys wanted $876.00 and the other dealer wanted\r
over $1000.00!!! Picked it up I was surprised to find that my bill was only $532.00 because Greg said they were able to cut some off the\r
part and their mechanic got it done pretty quick. He coulda got me for the other money and I wouldn't have known anything. Then when they brought my truck to me, the mechanic was driving it and took the time to show me what was done and even fixed my tail lights for free because he saw they were out ( wish I knew his name, maybe ""Derk""). I hope I don't have to spend more money on this old truck, but if I do , they got my business!! Thanks guys!
I had the worst experience that I have ever had in my life at the Service Department!! I will never do business with this Dealership again!! I would have also given no stars if that was an option. Not only did they not fix my car, which is brand new!! They broke it even worse than before, and didn't bother to tell me!! I had to discover it when I picked up my car!! Then when asked the Service Advisor, he was like ""Oh, yes... well we had to order parts"" THEN he turned his back on me while I was still standing there!! I have never been so rudely discarded in my life!! We are filing complaints with the BBB as well as GM. There are too many dealerships out there to deal with one that really doesn't care about the service they provide.
Don't walk, but run away from this Dealership!!!
The worst ecperience ever, told i could only buy one certain car with a really high down payment and interest rate. Contacted finance company and everything that was told to me by my sales person was a lie. Now they done got paid by the finance company they could care less whether i am happy. Hate the vehicle, its junk, and they want help me out in any way. Do ur research, and look elsewhere to buy a car. I do not recommend going to TOM BANNEN CHEVY, THEY ARE ONLY WORRIED ABOUT THEMSELVES AND MAKING A PAYCHECK!!!!!!
I had a issue with the service dept. but Carl went way out of his way to make things right. Also Greg in service is great. I would recommend them for any auto repair.
I always buy my cars from a General Motors dealership, and my experience has been that customer service was not high on the priority list with most GM dealers, but Tom Bannen Chevy has taken service and customer satisfaction to a new level. The one constant is always dealing with Jeff Boyd. He takes the time to explain everything to you, and makes sure that the job is always done right. He will also make sure you are not inconvenienced by getting you a courtesy ride to work or providing a loaner. When the time comes, I will buy another car from Tom Bannen mostly because of the exceptional service I have received from Jeff Boyd in the service department. Tom Bannen Chevy makes sure the customer comes first and to me that is the most important quality a dealership strive for.
Pros: Jeff Boyd, exceptional service, integrity
We drove to this dealership from Murfreesboro because their on-line selection looked superior to anything else out there. In our case, we were looking for a pre-owned Silverado Ext 4WD in excellent shape with low miles. We were not disappointed. They had a solid selection.\r
And the customer service was outstanding! Our pre-visit telephone communications were great in terms of information and follow-through. When we arrived our Salesperson, Shane Turner, showed us not only the cars on-line we were interested in, but others that were competitively priced within the parameters we wanted. After our first visit we did our homework and went back to purchase a car that was perfect for us. Throughout this process Shane, and his manager Kevin, and every other employee we dealt with were exceptional.\r
In the past, we have had some poor dealings with the finance office. Kevin was very knowledgeable about financing, explained to us what our credit score and credit file consisted of and simple ways we could improve our credit, and got our loan approved at a rate significantly lower than we were quoted at a local dealership and the Nashville CARMAX. While Kevin didnt do the actual paperwork, it was refreshing that what he told us and what the finance manager reviewed were the exact same, not typical in our experience at most other car stores!\r
It is clear to us that their mission is to provide outstanding customer service, and a wide selection of vehicles at competitive prices. What more could anyone want? To top it off, the general manager, David Littrell, was present and available for any questions we had. David and Kevin promised excellent customer service as we move forward with servicing our car, and in future purchasing another down the road. We will return!\r
Pros: outstanding customer service, wide selection of vehicles
Cons: Distance from Murfreesboro
Mr. Armstrong was very friendly and took a lot of time helping me purchase my first car. Mr. Young was really good at explaining all the detalis of my financing and warranty options. I love my car and appreciate everyones assistance. I would recommend this dealership to anyone who wants to own a Chevrolet or wants to learn more about them.\r
Pros: Professional Salespeople, Honesty, Inventory Selection
I have bought 2 Chevrolet's in the last 8 months at this dealership from the same courteous, knowledgeable, experienced and top-notch professional salesman...Ken Hayes. This is my 6th GM product and my 4th dealership...they are by far and away the best of the 4 dealers...My wife and I drove 3 hours each way to purchase from them. We heard about them from a friend in Memphis. Called to see about replacing our 4WD Silverado with 110,000 miles on it. First spoke to Ken, and continued to dialog while we waited for a used, very nice Z71 in our price range. In June of 2009, just what we were looking for came along, Ken was very fair to deal with and went out of his way to accommodate us. Then, Saturday, May 22nd, we stopped by during a trip to Nashville and Ken came out to welcome us and offered some bottled water. We stopped in to say hello...with no intention of buying a car...and on the way out just looked at a new 2010 Tahoe...expressed a little interest and they made us a deal we felt we couldn't refuse...Ken, Mike and David ""the boss"" did a great job...on each of our car purchases...Ken is the best. If you are looking for honesty and integrity, contact Ken Hayes! Tom Bannen is the best...for anyone reading this wanting to buy a Chevrolet...you should give them an opportunity to serve you and participate in you future purchase.
Pros: Very good staff, Honest (very important), great inventory
On March 28 my husband and I purchased a 2009 Chevy Malibu. We were happy with the sale except the vehicle had only one key fob. This is used to unlock the doors, truck, set alarm, etc... Knowing that two of us would be sharing the car we informed Shane Turner (our salesman) that we would require two key fobs. He assured me he would just find us one and there was no reason to put it in writing. He claimed that vehicles came in all the time and he could program one and it would be cheaper for him and free for us. \r
Shane called the next week and said they needed the car back because they had not had it long enough to get it smogged. He offered a loaner car if we would bring it in. When my husband arrived, there was no loaner car he had to wait, and there was no key fob. I called in April and twice in May asking for the key fob. They sent me paperwork asking if I was happy with my performance, I called that person and she said I would need to talk to Shane. \r
Today, six months later, I called Shane again. He is now telling me that he has a fob, but that the service department will charge 1/2 hour of labor the program the fob. I was told I would not be charged for the key fob since the vehicle was missing one when we purchased it. \r
DONT TRUST THESE PEOPLE.
Pros: Financing was easy
Cons: Sales man lied.
My experience when trying to buy what I wanted, from Tom Bannen was that I wanted a Chevy Equiox and got a chevy Impala, probably for the same monthly note. My salesman told me one thing ann the finance guy told me another. I really needed my note a little bit lower to be comfortable in my budget. Of course I probably bit off more than I could chew and will struggle to make it. I wanted a sunroof couldnt get that either. Really wante a Equinox bad with sunroof. Over all I think they are out to make money even if they know you are a single income.. I got a nice car, with 3500,00 miles when I could of had one with less miles, for the same monthly note. either way I did not get exactly what I wanted.
