Excellent Dr., great care and service. We are fairly new to the area, but are very pleased with Dr. Bell. He listens and has a demeanor that is very caring.

Our kids have been patients since the late '90(s). Before Rex Peds in Cary, we saw Dr. Bell and Dr. Flaherty at Kaiser and we liked them so much we followed them! Add the convenience of having other services such as x-ray and lab in the building and they can't be beat.

We have been patients with Rex Pediatrics of Cary for 13 years. Dr. Bell is knowledgeable, experienced, kind and reassuring. We usually see him since he is our regular doctor, unless he is off and then we are happy to see any of the other doctors. Dr. Bell has always taken the best care of our two boys every single time we have needed him. We feel very fortunate to have him! The office staff is wonderful too!

We've taken our two boys to this practice for a number of years. They are very experienced and kind. We can always get an appointment with an MD and aren't funneled to a nurse practitioner. The group is small enough that we can see our regular doctor most of the time unless they are off. The in house lab and x ray are very convenient. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a doctor for their kids!!

All the other reviews on here are from a few years ago. I started taking my daughter (newborn at the time) to this practice and specifically to Dr. Bell in December of 2007. He's been absolutely wonderful. Very upfront & honest, friendly, and takes the time to explain things and answer questions. We've never had a problem with getting an appointment or with the staff. I love this place and recommend it to my friends. I'm having another child in May and she will also see Dr. Bell. I have at least 2 other friends who go to this practice and are also very happy with them!

Pros: Quick appointments, fast call backs, friendly staff

Cons: None that I can think of

.

Very rude, inefficient and non-responsive group. Office managers are never available, hard to get appt., hard to reach any one. STAY AWAY from this place.\r
\r
This place is run by very incompetent people. Had service rendered for my daighter. My insurance (BCBSNC) paid the claims within a short time. Had serveal bills from Rex saying that my insurance did not pay. Faxed proof of payment (twice) and had a 3-way conf. call with Rex peds and BCBSNC. .....Got a collection agency me calling me after 18 months for the same service.\r
\r
Finally called Rex Financial services @ Lake boone trail office. It was resolved.

I had been taking my kids here for over 9 years because that's where we started off. Not once do I recall having a real good experience, mostly they were neutral experiences, not negative.\r
\r
But I did always find their appointment desk hard to get a live person.\r
I also never got warm friendly service from the front office during and after the visit.\r
And I never left the Dr. office with a feeling the Dr. took the time and patience in deal ing with us, especially given my wife doesn't speak English well and needs time to understand. When a friend I recommended the practice to switched Dr., she said the same things. \r
\r
It was one visit in particular that got me looking elsewhere, they prescribed some medication and asked us to stop by for follow-up to make sure the thing is over; just for looking at dismissing (less than 1 minute) they charged us a co-pay and I paid and left and am not looking back.\r
\r
Now going elsewhere and requested a records transfer, and they charge for it, over $59 for my 3 kids (based on number of pages). Unbelievable. Maybe this is the norm, but when I transferred mine, there was no such charge. If they are so uppity that they don't do records transfer and have to outsource it, than they are making way too much money. Paying the charges triggered me to write this review. And I see there's one other having the same thoughts as I do.\r
\r
Wish there was a half-star or 0 star rating.\r
Feels more like an oncology clinic than a pediatrics one.

Pros: Has Urgent Care next door, xray in the same building

Cons: staff is unfreindly, not a pleasant experiences, mostly neutral. honestly, no reason to recommend unless it's next door to you.

Well, when I first moved to the Raleigh area, I was excited about how well the health care systems were going to be. However, my experience with Rex Pediatrics has been one bad experience after another. The customer service is absolutely unacceptable. You can never reach anyone immediately to answer your questions or to book an appointment. The ladies behind the window, I'm sure they are well qualified for the job, however sometimes it just seems as if I am talking to a child. It's really a badgering experience. I'm a single mother and I have had to take time off from work to go and stand in the office in order to speak with someone in regards to serious matters. The doctors are subprime. They are quick to write a prescription for whatever and don't take the time to answer your questions. I put in a request to have my records transferred and now I have to pay to get my children's records. It's rediculous and I wouldn't recommend this circus act to anyone.

Pros: Good Parking

Cons: Service, Having to wait on phone that can easily use up your entire day. The wait for an appointment is out of control.
