I don't kow about the compaints of not being paid by former teachers, but as a parent I highly recommend this school. After looking at about 10 different schools - some very well reviewed and expensive - we decided to enroll our 1 year old at Audubon. The school has been wonderful. We chose this school based on the Director's teaching method/philosphy, the good playground and educational toys, the low student/teacher ratio, and the pleasant/clean ambiance of the actual facility (side note: this place had the most clean, quiet, pleasant infant room of the 10 schools I toured).

This school is every bit as good as the expensive Montessori's we visited, and is about $700 less per month.I continue to be amazed with the new things our son learns at this school every day. He is constantly coming home with new vocabulary words, and he even counts to 10 (20 months old). The teachers do an amazing job with the lesson plans, and the supporting caregivers are very warm and engaging with the children. They do have ASL, Spanish, French, and music class. Other pros: light religion (bible stories), lots of science and nature studies, all organic milk, no juice ever, daily activity sheets, dog and cat school pets (this has been wonderful), all toys sanitized daily, good playground facility, frequent programs for parents throughout the year. Summer was also fun - swimming lessons on site, theatrical productions, gymnastics, sports camp.
I also like it that the kids don't luch in their classroom.

The owner does not stick to her contracts. She has you fill out a mountain of paperwork showing that you will be responsible for paying on time and what happens if you don't, but when it comes to her refunding money due to the patron it's nowhere to be found. If you can't trust her with your money then why on earth would you trust her with your children
