I started going to Get In Shape for Women in Medford in January of this year. I was a little unsure but was pleasantly surprised by the manager, Joe, who was very reassuring. I'm 69 years old and I feel very comfortable at GISFW. They make you feel so welcome. Joe greets everyone by name. My trainers are Samantha and Dan. They are really energetic and knowledgeable. In the 6 months that I have been going to GISFW, I have lost a dress size and inches off my hips. I would highly recommend GISFW to anyone!

I lost 20lbs in 3 months, plateaued during the holidays (my fault) and then lost another 5 lbs in two months. Dan, Sam and Joe are very good trainers. They always challenged me and were very helpful.

I have recently moved and needed to change my gym and am sad to leave. I would highly recommend this location especially to those looking to get started on a fitness program. Good luck!

At the same time Sean and team are true professionals and keep a close eye to make sure I have the correct form to prevent injury and also see the best results possible. \r
When you walk in the door everyone is considered equal and there are no snooty attitudes that can be intimidating (especially when you're not feeling so hot in those lycra leggings). I would highly recommend this gym to woman of all ages, shapes and sizes. GISFW will get you to your fitness goals and you'll be SO happy you joined!

I was a bit reluctant as I had residual knee problems after surgery about a year and a half ago and was still having pain even on short walks. Having been an athlete all my life and now at 55 feeling a bit depressed that the old body was falling apart and I probably would not be able to be as active as I had always enjoyed.\r
Sean Griffin, the Mgr assured me they would take very good care of me and would bring my knee along slowly. I have been so impressed with how knowledgeable and professional Sean and his trainer Joe MGrath are. I am also amazed at their knowledge about nutrition and their absolute dedication to each of us having successful outcomes. Every week Sean or Joe are sending us inspiring emails checking on our compliance with their plan and giving encouragement and providing support.\r
Although weight loss was not a priority for me, by following their nutrition plan, I have lost 13 lbs. Through them helping me strengthening all those muscles that support my knee, I am now ""thrilled"" to report I am now able to run on the treadmill during the cardio portion of our workout doing interval jog/sprints.\r
Joe's workouts are so fun and varied and I have to say I still get sore after every workout. My group of 3-4 women are awesome. We have all formed a very close bond and support each other 100%. It is a great environment . Thanks Joe and Sean for helping me reach my goals. I feel GREAT!!
