bought a 2007 mini cooper S at SW mini in july of 2011 (7 months ago). i also purchased the total care extended warranty with $500 deductible. i started to feel like i was at the wrong mini dealership purchasing a mini when i was back there 2 weeks to pick up my licensee plates... their attidude was completely changed. i walked in and told the reception lady that i was there to pick up my plates, she didn't greet nor smile. she just told me to sign on a piece of paper and handed me the plates. my salesman (brian) happened to be sitting next to her at that time, he didn't greet nor even look at me the whole time. i was like... that's not how he acted when i was here 2 weeks ago purchasing this car. anyway, since then, i knew i was screwed. when i'm looking back now, for sure SW mini was aware of the problems with the mini cooper they were selling (the one i bought). how can they sell a mini cooper with engine leaking problems for $18000? how can they screw people up like that?
(before the rest of the story, i want to mention that i have driving my mini with the sport mode off)
4 weeks after the purchase, i started to notice small oil spots at my parking space. i took the car to my regular mechanic and he said my car was leaking oil. he said it's not serve yet, so i should be okay for a while. and since then, i had 3 nightmares about my car being broken down.
last week, the engine light came on and i have noticed that the oil leak has became a lot more serious. i went to SW mini and i was treated like i crap. i told my best friend who works at fort bend toyota about my car, then he told me mini of clear lake is owned by the same owner as fort bend toyota and i should take my car there.
i made an appointment last week for today, because today is the first day they have a loaner for me. the guy on the phone was very helpful. i went in today and talked to mr. lance, he is very professional and gave me simple and useful advises. he was helping another lady as the same time when i was there, the other lady also received the same good quality of service. now i know where to go when i want to purchase another mini or BMW. i wish i would have knew 7 months ago. SW mini will never get a penny from me nor anyone i know.

Once again, I feel like royalty when I visit your dealership. Lance is really the only person I have ever dealt with and he is a tremendous asset to your dealership!
5I have had experience with two dealerships since I purchased my Mini. The first did a great job of selling me my car, having it ordered for me, picking me up to retrieve the car upon arrival. But the maintenance department was never my favorite. Under most cases I believe this is true, people don't enjoy having to sit waiting for their cars. Then Mini of Clear Lake opened and I started going there for my service. What a remarkable difference! I love coming in, walking around. They are always very kind to me, they get my car repaired efficiently and when that is not possible, they keep me updated and make sure I have another vehicle to get me around. I highly recommend them to any person who owns a Mini and is looking for a more personalized experience.

I love my Mini and am very pleased with your service department. It is nice that you have a service department in Clear Lake now. It saves me a lot of time and is very convenient not to have to drive across town.
5Lance in the Mini service dept. delivers the best customer service a person could ever want or need.
5My sales associate was low pressure, but had all the information I needed. He was very personable as well. I felt relaxed and good about my purchase.

5Great service! So far I have really enjoyed the MINI. She runs like a rabbit, and is highly nimble. Looking forward to taking her on a long-ish road trip this July.
