.

I was very disappointed in my recent experience at AAH. In the past few months I had visited there to purchase over the counter flea preventive medicines( frontline, advantage, etc) and had no problems. I didn't need an appt, or have restrictions. When I visited yesterday, I was told that because of my dogs not having a well visit recently, they would not sell me over the counter flea medicine. Are you kidding me? It seemed very arbitrary since I had just bought it a month ago. When I asked why the change in procedure, I was told they would call me.Finally..... 3 hours later, the vet called.
Meanwhile I had visited another vet and had purchased what I needed without a problem. (And this vet had never seen any of my animals!) And I called The Humane Society today and was told to come in anytime to buy frontline without having to have dogs looked at, as it was just a preventative medicine.
I feel like AAH wasted my time, money and didn't care about me or my animals. They just seemed to want the money for the office visit.
The vet basically blew me off, told me the company that sold frontline said it should only be sold after dogs were checked out, ect. IF that is true, then why would The Humane Society sell it? I don't know why they would alienate a long time customer. Word gets around.
