Kim Miller is the most unprofessional, sorry person I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. It is just laughable that she is able to keep her job with the lack of courtesy and care she exhibits towards customers (and staff). That tells me all I need to know about this office. As if that isn't bad enough, the doctor told me I can't wear contacts. Guess what? I went to a different doctor and am now wearing contacts. If you are looking to be upsold and treated badly, please do give MFV a try.

Ive been going to Modern Family Vision for several years. The staff has always been friendly and they greet you as though they see you every day instead if yearly. She promised to submit insurance claim and never did. I can not thank you Modern Family Vision and Kim enough for suggesting that I try Digital Lenses for my eyeglasses. I was a little reluctant at first and hesitant to upgrade to digital lenses. My first thought was that I wear my contact lens most of the time and I did not think the difference, if any, would really matter or even be noticeable on those few occasions when I would wear my eyeglasses. Now I am sold! First, thanks to you and your staff for helping me to select a fabulous pair of frames. The color is great for my skin and I have a little bit of bling to set off the look. I have received several compliments on them. Second, I wore the new glasses with the digital frames for the first time on a Sunday after I had taken my contact lens out for my weekly cleaning. Usually whenever I would wear my regular eyeglasses, I could not wait to put my contact lens back in before the day has ended. Not true with my new glasses and digital lenses! I can wear these for days without even thinking about my contact lens. I find the vision to be as crisp as I have with my contact lens and far better than the regular eyeglasses. I especially thought that in the outdoors I would have the usual glare problem that I would have with my regular glasses, but even the glare seems to be reduced when looking out of my digital lenses. Third, my eyes always seemed to water and bother me causing me to continually rub my eyes, take the glasses on and off, etc, after wearing my regular eyeglasses for several hours. I do not have that problem with the digital lens. I am not sure what this means, but I take it as another reason to put down the regular lens and stick with the digital ones. Finally, Modern Family Vision you made me a believer. I would not go back to regular lenses. The difference in price is definitely worth it. I love, love, love my digital lens eyeglasses! \r\n

What a great staff I HATE picking out frames but the ENTIRE staff at Modern Family Vision was so helpful. They have the biggest selection of frame ANYWHERE, they showed me some frames that were 59.00 and some that were 700.00 the ones I picked were 289.00 and they gave me an extra 50.00 on top of my insurance allowance of 120.00 so I got 180.00 off plus the 20% my VSP gives me so the frames cost me 87.00 and I just picked them last week and I LOVE THEM I have already got 3 compliments and i never got compliments before. I probably would not have stepped outside the box and picked these but I am so glad the staff was so helpful AND by the way I had so much fun there as well. Cliff is the main one who helped me and convienced me to try something bolder. I got great care by the doctor and the staff was so caring and concerned. I have found my new eye doctor I will never go back to my old doctor. I went to Modern Family Vision a couple of days ago when I woke up with a painful red eye. I called Modern Family Vision where I have gotten my eye exam before. They told me come in right away and that Dr. Castro would work me in. They also told me that the visit would be covered by my medical insurance and I only had to pay my copay. Dr. Castro checked my eye and told me I had an eye infection. She explained things where I could understand and gave me a sample of antibiotic. After 2 days on the antibiotic, my eye looks and feels much better!

I asked the right questions, such as how much they would cost before I bought them and what I should expect after the purchase. My vist with Dr. Castro was friendly and talked to me about my eyesight and what kind of lense I will need. I prefer a Dr. telling me axactly where I stand, in this case, my eyesight and tell me if my eyes are bad or not. Ask the right questions and be friendly customers. You will get better service anywhere you go!

I have a 1 year old that can be a large handful at times. The girls at the front desk kept his attention while I was in with the doctor. I have never felt so thankful for a doctors staff. I just purchased a pair of glasses from Dr. Leazures office with the help of a great staff. I never knew this office carried Gucci and Versace frames which they told me they were brand new. I just purchased a pair of glasses from Dr. Leazures office with the help of a great staff. I never knew this office carried Gucci and Versace frames which they told me they were brand new. My glasses came back in only two days. I now have great vision and at a great price. I would reccommend this office to all my firends and family.

Recently I moved to Allen and I needed an eye exam. I found out this office was on my insurance but after reading the previous reviews was a bit nervous but decided to give them a try.\nI have to say that I was blown away. The Doctor was awesome and very helpful explaining all my needs along the way. The staff where friendly and also helped me choose a great frame. They have an awesome selection and I will continue to go back.\nI have been in retail all my life and I know that you never receive good feedback only bad so felt that I needed to make this comment as I LOVED Modern Family Vision.

My son recently had to get glasses and we chose Modern Family Vision right here in Allen. The Dr was wonderful with my son and us, explained in great detail that we could understand and was very thorough with her exam. They offer a special for children for the eye testing and their prices on glasses are very good. I felt as though we where in good hands.

I brought my family to Modern Family Vision to have eye exams for glasses and contacts. The staff that was there explained all of our insurance benefits and helped us use them the best way. We picked out glasses and left with sample contacts on the same day. We had a great experience.

If I could give a negative rating I would. This was the worst experience , in any type of service industry, I have ever had. My family moved to Allen so I had to change eye doctors from the same Plano eye center that i've been frequenting for the past 6 yrs. Never once did I have a problem there. Modern Family Vision is a cesspool of incompetence and greed. Castro actually said, verbatim ""your eyes are messed up"" and she did not know why. Seriously??!?! That's your professional opinion? I have never been so angered in my whole life. My first visit was considered a medical and I paid a 15 copay. My second visit was a coerced one since she refused to write me a prescription until I had a follow up. So i drove home from school one weekend solely so I could have a prescription. I was told there would be no charge. My second visit ended up costing me a $82 copay despite the fact Lazarus did absolutely nothing other than repeat Castro's sentiment that I was seeing fine but not exactly 20/20 and that they did not know why.When I asked her what the problem was she did not tell me anything. This place is a farce of an office. They tried to schedule two more follow ups with me, and I had to explicitly tell them no. I STILL don't have a prescription for contacts. I cannot express how wholly unprofessional and ridiculous this place is.
