rating should be -5 run dont walk away from this place. me and my family had been loyal hard working members at this church for 8 YEARS. we would volunteer for just about anything. when i was still in youth i would always be doing everything i could to help raise money for trips, and servant events. and than every year since we became members i would help out with crafts for vbs. my mom was the sunday school teacher for the kindergarten class. as a matter of fact some of the children she teached would be able to tell the storys to other grown ups. and when asked where they learned it, they proudly said from my sunday school teacher. not only did my mom teach the little ones during the school year but during the summer she was the teacher for everyone. she was the one in charge of the music that the children sang. she would work with them, get them cds of the songs they would be singing so that they could learn the songs not only at sunday school but at home. she would make boards with the words to the songs on them so that if the children forgot the words she had them right there for them to see. she would teach the children sign language to some of the songs and than as the children where onstage she would be down on the ground showing them the actions so that they could do the actions with her. she was always the vbs teacher for the little ones, and than my dad was always her helper during sunday school and than during vbs he was a leader that helped other children in a small group. all of this we have done for 8 years. and than a few years ago. maybe 2 no more than 3. the church got a new pastor, who was married and had a son. will the son was not having fun learning about God. so his mom took over the sunday school and made it to where all the older boys *1st grade-5th grade* got to play with swords for an hour. thats a good way to teach boys about God huh? NO its not. and than the older girls are separated from the boys and learn to be like the women of the bible. seen not heard, you are not aloud to come near your husband unless he tells you to come to him, and stuff like this. so sure the pastors son gets to have fun. but no one but the little kids get to learn about God, only because they where with my mom. while the pastors wife did not like this so she went to the leaders of the church and complained about my mom. of course because she is the pastors wife they all bow down and worship her and do everything she says so they tell my mom this church is run on volunteers, you two need to get along. my mom had no problem trying to get along, but the pastors wife didnt want to get along. so she just reported my mom again and they again worship her and kiss her back side and tell my mom her volunteering is no longer welcome. this church does not care at all about the people that come to this church, the people that work hard to make this church stay alive. they only care about making the pastors wife and son happy. does this sound like a good church? NO this is a corrupted church. do not go to this church. they may welcome you with open arms but what you dont see is the dagger in their right hand that as soon as they hug you they stab you in the back with it.
