After spending several hours trying to snake out my clogged kitchen drain myself I knew that I needed professional plumbing help so I called Roto-Rooter in Columbus, Ohio right away. Jesse was out within 30 minutes and gave us stellar service - not only did he quickly take care of the clog but he cleaned up OUR kitchen mess and gave us a free plumbing inspection. I will definitely be calling Jesse and Roto-Rooter for any future plumbing problems.

On November 16, I went to the basement to do laundry and found water on my basement floor. I called Roto-Rooter and they were here within 2 hours to diagnose a plumbing line blocked by tree roots. They opened my line and suggested that we have a sleeve placed in that line because the root blockage occurs about every 18 months. The sleeve would eliminate the problem. On November 17, they were here by 9am. They had to jack hammer a 3x3 foot hole in my basement. They explained every step of the process thoroughly. They invited us to watch with their camera our new line. It was enlightening. They worked hard and long. I think they were here until about 6pm. They were very pleasant and respectful of our home. They protected our flooring and carpeting. They are Ben #2565 and Dave#2416. We actually enjoyed our time with them. On November 18, Harley#2273 arrived to fill in the hole in our floor and did a great job. We appreciate the hard working fellows that solved our plumbing problem here in Columbus, Ohio. We would highly recommend Roto-Rooter.

I spontaneously went on line last Friday, Nov 11th in search of a plumber or a handy man since I assumed I'd get a better deal to fix my shower and sink; a problem I lived with for many months. Just didn??t want to deal with the mess, high costs and trying to determine if "whomever" was going to be trustworthy, fix it properly, dragging out the time in repairing, talking too much while not focusing on the work and without taking up my entire day off dealing with it. I stress if & when ??Mr. Fix Its? come to my home!!

I went ahead and psyched myself up to call a few "plumbers" that had ads in the Cols Dispatch and the Other paper. The charges were anywhere from $75 - $100 just to come to the house, not to include parts/supplies... and would charge, even if they did NOTHING; which was the biggest TURN OFF!

I quickly lost interest and decided to put it off and just live with it a few more months, out of pure frustration.

I then spotted an ad and a coupon for ROTO ROOTER and although, I first thought big company with outrageous hidden prices ... I called anyway just to inquire about the ($40) coupon I had seen advertised.

It was early in the morning and surprising got a real professional service rep that was not high pressure? just answered all my concerns up front. I was told that there was no service call charge (aka: FREE ESTIMATE) and they were able to come that very day, let alone with the hour. I had NOTHING to lose!

The man that came (Nick) was on time, clean, professional, pleasant and most of all NEAT (neat in his person, as well as, in his work!) He immediately looked at the issues, gave me a flat-rate reasonable written estimate, went to his truck to gather the parts/ supplies to show me *that had a warrantee* for a year, then went to work? once I agreed to it all. I honestly couldn??t beat it! Oh ? What a RELIEF!

He was done in an hour and a half? Tops! The shower and sink are now working beautifully. I used my $40 coupon, paid by credit card and absolutely could not believe I had stressed over this problem for so long; when ROTO ROOTER fixed it the very day I called ... doing everything as advertised and quoted.

After he left, I had no mess to clean up and felt good about the lack of stress and the time and money saved by not calling an anonymous handyman? and very importantly without the FREE ESTIMATE (which I was totally surprised at for plumbers.)

I highly recommend ROTO ROOTER and am completely satisfied with the entire ordeal. I even waited a week to BE SURE ALL WAS IN GREAT WORKING ORDER before leaving a review.

Thank you so much, I see why you've been in business for as long as you have! Merry Christmas!

I don't write customer reviews. To be honest, I take a lot of customer service for granted. I know that sounds bad, but my wife and I have had all manner of electricians, plumbers, cable, A/C repairmen, and handymen over the years and they've been mostly unremarkable. They've all gotten the job done (for the most part), collected their payments, and left for their next service appointment. End of story.

Last night, Roto-Rooter managed to change my mind about how customer service should work. Around 8:30 p.m., we discovered our kitchen sink was filling up after (stupidly) throwing a bunch of vegetables down the disposal. After a half-hour of Drano, leaking pipes, and a dishwasher rapidly filling up with smelly black water, I decided to call Roto-Rooter. Their customer service rep already had me in the system and quickly confirmed all of my contact information. She then told me that she could have someone out to the house within two hours. Two hours? Time Warner can't even schedule an appointment two weeks in advance without a seven-hour window!

Needless to say, the service technicians arrived right when they said they would. I was exhausted from the weekend and really just wanted to get some sleep, but I was really taken aback by how the service technician (Josh) and his trainee handled themselves and the situation. While I sheepishly admitted to dumping vegetables down the disposal and desperately hoped they couldn??t smell the eye-watering blast of chemical Drano in the kitchen, they immediately got to work.

Within minutes of inspecting the flooded sink and our basement, they had a clear plan of attack. Josh was courteous, kind, and thoughtful -- even going so far as to draw me a diagram of how household plumbing works. Given the late hour, he could've just chalked me up to another ignorant homeowner and told me what he was going to do next. On the contrary, Josh patiently spent time showing me what approach they had to take and what my options were. (It's also worth noting that I believe my service call was the last of a 12-hour day for them.)

I kept out of their way, but I listened from the living room as he and his trainee worked at clearing the line out. Afterward, they confirmed what he'd already warned might happen and that our disposal was ruined. Just as I wondered how many days it'd be before we got a new disposal installed, Josh told me he'd be able to install one as part of the service call. About an hour after they arrived, they were finished. We had a brand-new disposal, a working sink and a clean dishwasher.

After they were finished, they spent time cleaning out the bottom of the sink as well as the floor. They even bagged up all of the dirty rags and towels I'd used to stop the water from flooding everywhere and threw them out. Josh??s trainee then carefully walked me through the treatment process for the rest of our household drains. (Most impressively, despite hauling equipment in and out of the house, they managed to not wake up two sleeping children and my wife.)

They were clear and polite, yes, but most of all they made me feel comfortable. They were assured, confident, engaging and best of all, sincere. It's rare you come across employees like these two anywhere, and I highly recommend the Harrison Drive Roto-Rooter because of them.

Best,

We had a clogged drain plumbing problem in Columbus, OH and Terry from Roto Rooter fixed it perfectly and gave us some good hints on how to keep this from happening again. Very professional service, provided quickly as I called at 7 am and Terry was here at 8 am. Can't beat that.
