I have acid reflux and I was on TWO Nexium(40mg) a day for 10+ years and if I missed ONE, my throat felt like it was on fire. One month after being adjusted, I'm down to ONE Prilosec(20mg) per day. I'm positive that I won't have to take

I have been going to Dr. Meylor for almost 20 years. He never disappoints...just when I think I'm going to fall apart, he puts the pieces back together again! I feel taller when I leave there!

My name is Shelby, I am 26 years old. I have suffered from migraines and TMJ (Temporomandibular Joint Disorder) most of my life. My TMJ is accompanied by clicking, popping and jaw pain (just to name a few things). TMJ is very painful and leaves me in tears some days. \r
About most of my migraines are related to my TMJ. My life has been controlled by TMJ and migraines. I have lost many nights of sleep, because the pain was so bad. I have had other procedures done to reduce the pain for my TMJ. I had no relief with those procedures and nothing was working, actually it seemed like things were getting worse. I was told that I could get jaw surgery, but there was high percentage that it would make my TMJ worse. I was scared and very frustrated. I did not want to have jaw surgery and have to go through any more pain.\r
I started to see Dr. Meylor for treatment for my migraines and was advised that he could help me with my TMJ. As a patient, I did not know that Chiropractic care included treatment for TMJ disorders. Dr. Meylor took the time to explain TMJ and where the pain was coming from; he addressed all my questions. After the first couple adjustments with my TMJ, I found that I was sleeping better through the night without the sharp pain running up my face. My migraines have been less frequent and I have noticed improvement with each of my adjustments. These adjustments have helped the mobility of my jaw; have helped with the pain; helped with the migraines; and with the ear pain (which is related to my TMJ). There are days that I don??t know what I would do without treatment of chiropractic care, it has helped me so much. \r
Dr. Meylor and his staff are the most wonderful and caring people! They treat me like as person, not just as a patient. They make sure that I am comfortable and make it their number one goal to make everyone happy and healthy. I would recommend Dr. Meylor and would also recommend seeking Chiropractic Care from him if you suffer from TMJ. \r

I am a retired competitive gymnast who has worked in health care as a Recreational Therapist for 10 years. I first remember having low back pain 19 years ago while in gymnastics. I was able to relieve the pain with exercises and stretches my coach gave me. Six years later I was hit from behind in a car accident. My back pain worsened and I began seeing a chiropractor (not Dr. Meylor). He was able to take away the immediate pain, however the pain always returned. I have had two work related strains on my back and one more car accident since then. There were times I couldn't hold a carton of eggs because of the pain, which was then in my mid-back and neck too. I was very concerned how I would be able to care for a new born baby my husband and I were adopting. A month before the baby was due I got a referral from a friend of mine who asked a Neurologist she knew for a good chiropractor referal. I was told Dr. Meylor was the one to see, and although the office was 35 minutes away from my house I knew I needed a good chiropractor and I was willing to make the drive to see someone who had a good reputation for delivering results. I was very impressed with all of the treatment modalities used from muscle stimulation and a traction bed with roller bars to the acupuncture and variety of adjustments. I started off with treatments 3 times per week and now am down to 1 time every 1-2 weeks. I am elated to say that I am able to carry my precious son pain free! If I do get a little pinch here or there it goes right away instead of lingering around for weeks like it used to! I was busy with new mom duties while receiving chiropractic care from Dr. Meylor, so I didn't get to the gym like I had before being treated by him. In the past working out to keep my back strong was the only way to keep the pain at bay, so the fact that I wasn't working out at all and Dr. Meylor was able to make the pain go away proves it is truly 100% Dr. Meylor's doing! The staff, especially Wendy is great! Wendy even held and fed my son for me one visit when I needed an extra hand! Thank you to all of the staff! I highly recommend Dr. Meylor and his team!

I have been a drummer for 22 years, playing in a professional capacity for the past 15. Within the last 3 years I had begun to develop early signs of carpel tunnel syndrome - weakened grip in my right hand, pain in my wrists and elbows, and occasional numbness in my fingers. I had also developed discomfort in my middle back and hips. The care provided by Dr Meylor - via both chiropractic adjustments and a consultation regarding methods by which to physiologically alter my playing technique - has been invaluable in allowing me to continue to play music both live and in the studio. After only one consultation and three adjustment-visits, I felt improvement in my range of motion, my grip, and my pain was completely alleviated without medication or surgical intervention of any kind. Based on Dr Meylor's recommendations, I have adjusted my instrument's setup, and now am able to consistently play sessions of 4 to 5 hours without pain while performing - or on the morning after. I continue to visit Dr Meylor on a semi-regular, as-needed basis, and have experienced no further deterioration in my condition, and continue to enjoy performing and recording. I highly recommend Dr Meylor to any musicians in need of care as a result of their playing. His personal attention, consideration of my specialized needs as a musician, and the quality of care provided have produced exemplary non-invasive results.

Hi, my name is Dennis Stanton and 17 years ago I was told that I had Epilepsy after an accident in the Navy while serving in the Gulf War. I had 20 - 30 Seizures a day and wasn't able to do the things that I once did. I took loads of Medications that hindered my lifestyle. I wasn't permitted to drive a car, or go swimming with my friends... I was told not to go out hiking or walking alone. I wasn't permitted to work anywhere and after 6 years of fighting finally began to receive Disability pay. When I can to NC it was with the intent of getting a surgery to stop my Seizures... I spent 7 days at Baptist Hospital undergoing a series of testing. At the end of the 7 days they told me that my Seizure were not a result of Epilepsy, but rather a pinched nerve in my neck and back. They told me to STOP taking the Medications as they were only making things worst. Then my Dr.'s suggested that I find a Chiropractor. I have a friend here in Greensboro who suggested Dr. Meylor and I went to see him. He didn't promise me anything more than just simply trying to make things better... I have been seeing Dr. Meylor since December 09 and haven't had Seizure since Jan. '10. I have gotten my life back! I bought a new Scooter 8 weeks ago and have put over 3600 miles on it. I have gone back to work and will soon no longer be on Disability. I can go swimming, and bike riding and hiking and, and , and... The only limitations that I have now is the time to do all the things that I want to do... some day's I think that there aren't enough hours in the day. I have been to the Mountains and climbed to the top of the ridge (an hour & a half to the peek). Gone Exploring the Parkway, drove my Scooter to Hanging Rock & Pilot Mountain, rode to Southern Pines for a Conference. All these things and not one seizure... and best of all I am never concerned that I will have one. I know that If I take care of myself and continue to see Dr. Meylor to get adjusted, it will keep the pressure off that pinched nerve and I won't have any Seizures! And best of all in less than a month I will be able to get a license again. I have already decided to get a Brand new Smart Car. Dr. Meylor has given me the ability to Live my Life once more.... If you have Seizures then you know how hard it can be to just life and love your life, to get around and do the things that you want to do. I would ask that you give Dr. Meylor a chance to help you... and maybe you too will get the Freedom that I have gotten.

Thank You Dr. Meylor fro giving me my life back.

Respectfully,
Dennis F. Stanton

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Meylor and his staff. They all are so cordial and make you feel so welcome from the moment stepping into the office. I must admit I hadn't thought of seeing a chiropractor for my problem, but definitely now I know what's right. I had a pinched nerve and two bone spurs between two vertebrae. Dr. Meylor was very upfront and honest in letting me know whether or not he would be able to help me or the last result be surgery. My situation was a stage 3 of a stage 4 being surgery.I am in my third week and seeing much progress and relief! He is such a caring and wonderful specialist. I would highly recommend him!

Several years ago I ruptured disk in my neck. Dr. Meylor and I decided an operation was necessary and I went to Duke Hospital in Durham. The neurologist and orthopedic surgeons used Dr. Meylor's XRays for the surgery saying ""His are better than the ones we took"". They also asked Dr. Meylor to do the rehab I required afterwards. He has worked on my mother, mother-in law, 2 husbands, and 2 children. I still see him regularly and attribute my good health to his good chiropractic care. \r

Everytime I walk into the door of Melyor Chiropractic I am greeted with a warm smile and a hello. The CAs know me by name, I am not just another number in their system. At first I thought I was just a unique patient for them to know my name, but then I noticed that the CAs knew everyone else by name. I first came in with lower back pain and Dr. Meylor placed did his miracle work and I have not had lower back pain since! I have recommended him to everyone I know. He is absolutly the best!
