This was literally and singlehandedly the worst dental experience I have ever had in my life. Simply put, I am appalled. As someone who is in the field of healthcare, I am very concerned with the way I was treated during my encounters with this office as I worry that patients with little health literacy are being mistreated or mishandled. I would never even think of treating a patient so poorly.
On my first visit, I spent more time in that dental office than I have spent waiting in the emergency room. I had to applaud myself for my patience. I had two parts to my X-ray and they were literally an hour apart. I just sat and waited so long for them to finish my X-ray and nobody could explain why. They are inefficient and they do not respect their patients' time. I really tried to give these people the benefit of the doubt after the wasted time, but then I ended up in serious pain after the anesthetic wore off at home- never experienced this any other time at the dentist. When I came back in for a follow up for the pain, they essentially suggested I was making up the symptoms I was having. What makes it worse is that I was extremely polite and respectful the entire time I was there. When I tried to explain what was going on, I was interrupted several times. There was no empathy and no apology, I was basically blamed for the pain I was having. I could not believe it, I am still in shock, as I've never had such an experience with a healthcare professional. They have not provided a real solution or taken responsibility, so I am now left to handle my symptoms on my own and will be seeking different care.
I would not EVER recommend this place to my worst enemy.
Besides how I was treated, their staff members are unprofessional and rude. The ones who directly are involved with patients mouths are not even hygienic- I noticed they don't change gloves appropriately. Their equipment, the building, and furnishings look quite old- I recognize funds can be tight, but given what else I noticed, it may be a symptom of a larger problem. There was also a poignant smell I noted in the offices, there is no privacy between rooms, and the neighborhood is not the best place to be in the evenings. On a positive note, there is ample street parking.
I gave them a chance and I regret ever coming across this dental office. Never again.
Please get your dental care somewhere else. Please.
