Hey everybody, want a fantastic place to eat GO TO BRIGS in Cary. Our family ate there this past weekend and what a great experience. First, super nice staff really friendly. Second, what choices they have on the menu, we had the special benedict the Barcelona and it was outrageous, my daughter chose the blackberry pancakes they were full of plump berries and served with special syrup. The place was packed when we got there but the staff somehow manages to get you in and out effortlessly, they clearly know what they are doing. When the family comes to town for the holidays we know where to take them for an awesome meal, THANKS BRIGS.,....

I have never had a bad, or even so-so meal at Brigs! Great place for family and very kid-friendly. Love the pancakes, and omelettes. I like supporting a local business, and they always greet us with a smile. Great Job Brigs!

Pros: Big Portions, Felt like a "regular"

Cons: Busy on the Weekends, but worth it.

This is an All-American Business. They deserve some props for being able to compete against the chains. There may be more than one location but this is definitely not a chain restauraunt!

Some of these reviews must be fake! How in the world can this place claim to serve "food"? These so called honest reviewers are either the owners or people who have no sense of taste or smell. This is nothing more than an over-hyped greasy spoon! The "food" was cold and soaked in oil and the server was RUDE! Enough said. Hey if you want to risk it and waste your money go ahead but my advice is go anywhere but Brigs.

My family and I happened to be driving on Maynard Rd looking for somewhere to eat. We happened upon Brigs Restaurant. We were greeted by a lovely woman who turned out to be the owner. She showed us to our table and we were immediately waited upon and before we knew it, the food had already arrived. It was absolutely delicious. My wife had a pancake combo, and I had to try some. They were fluffy and yummy! My daughter tried their works omelette, which looked excellent and was loaded with good stuff. My son had a child's meal which was a perfect amount for a little one. A single pancake, with a choice of two sides. They decided to go with breakfast for dinner, but I tried the BLTC which was firebaked and served open faced. it was large and a little daunting, but I ate every bite and it was worth it! Also, the price was right. The bill, for four people with full meals and drinks, ended up being barely $30. You can't beat that. The owner said she hoped we'd come back, and I said we definitely would. I know its hard to eat out these days with $$, but if you can only eat out once a week or even once a month. Choose Brigs Restaurant in Cary. You won't be disappointed.

Come on People ! ....this is so freakin' obvious. Such a futile attempt to build your rep after a damming review!

Both of the last two reviews were created by Brigs staff, with both profiles created on the same say as the review!

Hello .....!!!! how stupid can you be?

How about spending your energy making better food and providing better service?

My girlfriends and I met Saturday morning at Brigs in Cary and had the best time. Though the place was crowded we never felt rushed by the staff, from the warm greeting from the tall dark haired host to the sweet guy that waited on us we just had a fun morning. Our food was hot and very generous and plenty of it. You can tell lots of people are regulars but even we neebies felt welcome. This is going to be our "girls morning out place" it's awesome. Thanks Brigs Restaurant for a great meal.

Today my family and I ate at Brigs Restaurant. We were a large group and were worried about being seated quickly, no fear in that though, the host staff is so efficient they got us in very quickly even tho the restaurant was packed. Our service was perfect what a lovely server we had. As far as the food goes I can understand why this place keeps winning award after award. our meals were perfect. Several of us had eggs benedict and it was fantastic and the blackberry pancakes perfection. When we were finishing up the owner stopped by to ask how everything was and we told her this is our new favorite place to eat

This place should not be able to claim they are a restaurant! This is a greasy spoon that makes you wait in long lines...unless you are a regular of course. Funny...who would be a regular at this place? YUCK, the food is terrible but so is the service. There is nothing good about this place.

The food is terrible! Why is this place still in business? We can't believe people eat here and then return. The food was stone cold, terrible, and greasy. The server was horrible and rude. Customers should have some standards and this place does not meet even the lowest of standards. We will never return.

It is a shame that another restaurant bites the dust when it comes to customer service. With the struggling economy one would think that customer service would be the #1 priority for owners of any service oriented business. Let me assure you that Briggs has no interest in serving the customer. Perhaps its a combination of being in business for a while and having those loyal customers that the owner has gotten complacent, whatever the reason she is making a mistake. There is no need to go into the whole story but the simple facts are there were four adults sitting down trying to have an enjoyable breakfast and instead were all scared and wondering what in the world they did to receive such a mean and horrible attitude the entire time. The other major point is the server yelled at one of the customers as well as ran outside after her. Having a terrible experience there I decided to speak with the owner in hopes of clearing things up and giving feedback which one would think is important to an owner of a business. The owner had no interest in hearing what happened, instead went on to assure me that the server was a wonderful person and would never be fired. It was never the intent to have anyone fired, the intent was to inform the owner so the owner can help the server become better and improve. The owner was not in the restaurant at the time so her only knowledge of this incident was speaking on the phone to the server first and then to me. I had every intention of clearly stating the facts but it was evident that the moment the owner called me her mind was made up. Certainly there are positive things about supporting your staff and standing behind them, it is quite another to ignore paying customers all together. Luckily there are numerous restaurants in this area that have great service and serve a tasty meal. I will never step foot into Briggs again and even though the amount of money my family normally would have spent there is not huge, I would rather spend it elsewhere purely out of principal. Shame on the owner for not being better, she should always be striving to improve her staff so in turn the customers stay loyal. I thought that was business 101.

Our table server was aweful! Not only did she do a bad job serving us, she had a nasty attitude as well. The worst part, was that when we spoke to the owner, she was dismissive and had no interest in our experience at her restaurant. I will never go there again.

Each month Brigs has specials in several food categories and in July they have spotlighted a Southwest salad. It is truly remarkable! If it were on their permanent menu, I would order it each time I was there and my husband and I are there every Sunday that we are in town. The flavors blend so well together and it is so filling that it could easily be divided for two meals. Keep up the great work, Brigs

This is a really great family breakfast place. I ordered the chocolate chip pancakes, and they made my mouth water. They were HUGE, though, so I couldn't even really eat half of them. Our waitress was very friendly. I would definitely recommend this as a good, local comfortable breakfast joint.

Breakfast is my favorite meal of the day, so I was excited about going to Briggs since I've heard so much about it. Unfortunately my experience was not the best, but I think it had to do with my waitress. I ordered hot chocolate and by the time she brought it to me it was cold. I ordered waffles, but by the time she brought it to me the strawberries made my waffle soggy and the whipped cream melted. Then I asked for butter (what was I thinking??) and by the time she brought it my waffle was cold. The person I was with had an omlet and it was good, his cubed potatoes were good too. So I think my experience would have been better if not for the waitress.

I go to a church that is very close to this location and I have always seen a line out the door, finally I decided to try it. I love it because its independent, not just another chain restaurant. They have excellent waffles, and skillet breakfast varieties, and it is just a very cute southern place. I am not from here, and I have traveled the country, and it is always nice to visit diners and other cute places along the way, this would be one of them. The service is very friendly, right down to the college kid greeting you when you walk in the door. If there are any problems, they are solved automatically, and the food is always great. Sundays there may be a wait, but in my opinion it is well worth it.

I've been coming to Brigs Restaurant for years and I've never had a bad meal. Ever. The food is delicious and the staff is just lovely. They're cordial, helpful, and they genuinely want to give you a great experience. The restaurant itself is constantly changing its decor, but its alwasy extremely tasteful and artistic. I especially like the elegant mirrors located in one of the dining areas.
I checked online, and the highest price for a meal is 12 dollars, which is extremely reasonable. Its won a bunch of awards for Best Breakfast, but they're also open for dinner. You can get any meal from the menu anytime during the day, so it doesn't even matter. Breakfast for dinner? No problemo!
The food itself? Tasty! Tasty! I try to get something different everytime I'm in there, and so far I've tried(and loved) their pancakes, waffles, burgers, waldorf, broccoli, and grilled chicken salad. They've also got excellent omelettes and they''ve also got the Strawberry shortcake, which has a mountain of whip cream and ice cream!
I love this place! I don't know of any place that does a better job at leaving me feeling satisfied.

We read some good reviews on here and thought we'd try this place out for Sunday brunch. We were told when we got there that the wait was 20 minutes but we ended up waiting more than 45 minutes. The service was pretty good but the food was really greasy. Someone else said it's hardly better than a Waffle House and I totally agree. The decor is really bad...it reminds me of a run down Jersey diner. I wouldn't waste your time standing around outside for a seat. I definitely think you can do better.

Pros: Lots of Menu Options

Cons: Greasy Food, Long Waits, Overpriced for the Quality

.

I used to enjoy eating at Brig's several years ago, the quality of the food was always consistent. I've been maybe 3 or 4 times since I moved back to the area and it has gone downhill. I hope that the management will read these reviews because they really need to do something fast. Brigs is a small restaurant and it does get crowded especially on Sunday's after church. But they do a pretty good job at seating people, and the most I've waited has been 15 minutes. However they need to step up the cleanliness and the food. My most recent visit was on 8-19, and I noticed their sanitation rating was only a 90, which is barely an A. The food has come out very inconsistently, one time we got very runny grits and another time the French toast was dry inside because they didn't let the batter soak all the way through before cooking it.
The omelet I ordered on this last visit was pretty bland, even though it sounded so yummy from the description on the menu. Honestly I've had better breakfasts lately at Perkins. Brig's still seems to do a good business on the weekends but I think that is due to the fact that there is such a lack of brunch places in Cary. I hope they can get their act together, and for now I think I'll start making my breakfast at home.

Cons: seating is close, food is inconsistent and not up to par

I was hoping that the 4 negative reviewers were wrong, but they were right. Brigs is not outstanding - the food is barely above Waffle House quality. Maybe about the same as an IHOP but with more expensize prices. I had the mushroom omlette and it maybe had 4-6 slided pieces of mushrooms in it! The "homestyle fries" are just potato pieces with some kind of weird seasoning and not that good. My husband got the Meat Lover's omlette and it was dismal as well. The service was ok. The drink prices (milk, coffee, hot chocolate, etc) seems a bit higher than normal. Their logo implies quality and class, but the restaurant's decor and tables were very cheap looking and low quality. I've been to some truly outstanding, "this is the best" restuarants for breakfast around the states, but Brigs is not one of them.

I don't see how Brigs continues to get high ratings. I have dined at all of their locations (except Wake Forest) beginning with the Raleigh site in 1988 and in my opinion the Durham site has gone the most downhill, Cary next, and Raleigh third. First, their waiting areas are cramped and dirty. Second, their carpet and tablecloths are dirty, and third, the food is mediocre at best. Perhaps it is the menu variety and minimum area brunch choices that keeps Brigs popular.

Luckily we arrived early enough on a Sunday morning to not have to wait for a table...when we left, the line was daunting! But despite the bustling business, the service was prompt and friendly. I had the Garden Omelette, which was tasty and huge...with just the right amount of tomato, onion, mushrooms and their omelettes are made with 3 eggs - certainly didn't leave hungry!. My husband had french toast which he also liked, but did remark that the bacon was over cooked. I do wish the restaurant was bigger...the tables have the feel of a tight squeeze, and there were a lot of kids...so it's not really the place to go if you want a "relaxing" breakfast. Otherwise, go early and give it a try!

I am a recent transplant and am a breakfast fanatic. After searching for the local breakfast joints, Brigs came up as a #1 rated breakfast restaurant. Apparently the locals have never experienced a truly great breakfast, because this place doesn't even come close. You might as well go to Perkins where the prices are a bit better, because this is the same. The food isn't bad, it is just boring.

Your not just another customer at Brig's in Cary, like at the chain restaurants. The personnel at Brig's treat each customer like family. The team at Brig's are one big family and they treat their customers like they would like to be treated. If you ask for your food a certain way, you get it, with a smile and no complaints. The food is great and it is a great place to take your family and/or small kids. Lisa and Mike (the owners) go out of their way to make your visit each time, SPECIAL. You might have to wait for a short period of time on Sunday morning, but you will not be disappointed. Try it you will like it. I promise!

If you want a taste of heaven at 7 in the morning, just order a Almond Nut English Muffin. This thing is out of this world. Maybe I should go get one for lunch as well!!!

It is really to bad that this little breakfast is a bust. From the outside this place looks very inviting with lines and people dressed in thier their Sunday best. The truth is these people have no where else to go. I live in the area and was extremely dissapointed in the entire atmoshpere when I decided to try it this place out. Imagine screeming babies in a small crowded restaurant. The waitress brings a burnt cup of coffee; a sign of things to come. When the food arives, you are hardly satisfied. The food isn't bad, it just isn't what you would expect. I would recomend the new perkins which is only a 20 min drive.

Had breakfast four or five times at Briggs on Creedmoor Road this past 9 months. All I can say is, if you want to start your day with the best breakfast you could possibly eat and you just can't make it to your mom's - then go to Briggs. It is clean, well-managed, friendly, low-key, has free newspapers while you wait and the food is...well, don't take my word for it - try it for yourself! I just wish I could eat their 7 days a week!

It becomes very clear as soon as you enter Brigs that the regulars take priority. Two tables that came in after we did got waited on first. When the wait person came to take our order. Have yall decided, Then starts a conversation with the next table. The food is just above Waffle House. I see there were only 24 voters. How it was named #1 is beyond me.

This restaurant offers large portions, quality food, extensive choices, and a nice atmosphere (family-oriented). Great for breakfast on the weekends.

Having recently moved to The Triangle, my wife and I decided to try Brigs based on "Reader" recommendations at CitySearch. The "Readers" must be the locals who have never had a great breakfast because this place brings a new meaning to poor dining. Tacky wallpaper, tacky furniishings, etc. I ordered bacon in an omelette and what I received wouldn't pass for Spam. Don't waste your time.

We've been customers of Brig's since they first opened at Brennan Station Shopping Center, about 14 years ago. The food and service have always been top-notch, the staff and owners always friendly, courteous, and helpful. Brig's gets my highest recommendation for best breakfast (and lunch and dinner) at any time of the day.

Brigs simply has the best breakfast in town. They use only quality ingredients and the variety is such, that everyone can find something tasty on their menu. Where else can I get a seafood omelet made with real crabmeat instead of that cheap imitation stuff most places use?

Whenever I'm serving host to visiting family and friends, we typically cap off our weekend with a Brunch at Brigs. Their food is fantastic! Although the wait may be in upwards of 30 minutes, it's well worth it and we simply pass the time by with our conversation anyway. Actually, I consider the wait an indication of its excellence. Helped me win our coveted "Best Bed and Breakfast" award amongst my group of travelling friends.
