Bought a coop from this company and had it delivered. It was suppose to come with an automatic door and instead came with no coop door at all. Luke was suppose to bring the door by when it came in within a couple days and two months later we are still waiting. We paid in full, which was clearly a mistake. He now refuses to answer calls or messages. I wish I had read the review sooner and never dealt with this company at all. One of our chickens was killed overnight due to the coop still lacking a door. Beware of this company and please stay away for your chickens sake. Terrible business!

Please make sure to go to yelp and also read reviews, somehow most of the reviews are marked as not recommended but they are actually all very accurate. I can only assume that the owner Luke or his wife had something to do with it.

My husband met luke on facebook, they started talking and became friends so we thought. To get the clear picture of who this guy is I will start at the beginning. luke had said he owned this big farm with all these horses and goats and a lumber mill. Luke also said he owned wicked chicken an auction place near him. Down the road luke asked us to promote his business on our group so we did and we took a trip down there to hold a raffle for luke. We went down a guy won NEVER got the coop that was promised. We also brought luke down a bunch of birds. It was my first time being there i was in shock. luke already picked up a bunch in return for some coops. We started a new color and gave luke a large flock to start him out and to my surprise he had only 1 out of the 8 we gave him and the poor thing was so sick it was disgusting. In that same pen he had auction birds he buys for $5 and sells to locals for $20 they were all sick and i counted like 8 dead birds beaten into the ground. In the birds we had brought down for luke i had some of my rare birds and a few orders for people to pick up. Thankfully one was a friend who had seen the conditions of these poor birds and they took some so they would not meet there ultimate death. From all the birds we trade we got 4 coops and it was suppose to be 6. Well luke went on a cruise for duck dynasty that they had bought last year. Luke was arrested for money laundering as soon as he got off the boat. His wife then begged us to come buy all the birds that luke did not even pay for. We told her no on the sole reason that luke had an illness on his farm and i could not bring that back to my birds. So they all went to auction. I had given luke my flock of 10 turkeys and come to find out he had lost all of them because of an illness. I was also told that another person has to check on his birds daily because luke does not feed nor water them and many times she has seen dead ones from dehydration. So After everything I would say luke is horrible. He does not own wicked chicken he did not own that farm he rented it. He still owes us for coops and sold the birds to get money so he could get out of jail in new york. If you do order from him or do a trade get it all in writing but i doubt you will actually get it. There is also a guy who warned me he was going after luke because luke was suppose to do work on his house and he fired luke because he was not properly doing the work and luke refused to return the money

I have purchased ten coops from Luke and Donna Smith, aka All Cooped Up over the past several years.. To my knowledge, it isnt a registered business, and all checks are requested to be written to his wife,Donna Smith, as Luke Smith apparently has no bank account in his name. Big Red Flag!

Over the past few years, I have had both good and bad experiences. I thought we were beyond the bad and on a positive track. I hired Mr. Smith to build a large project at my home in Greensboro. We coordinated for months, gave him a deposit in the name of Donna Smith. Mr Smith has flown the coop with the money.

After much aggravation, Mr. Smith made a delivery of one coop, and was supposed to bring others the next day. He never returned. The one coop wasnt even a dent in the entire scope of the project. I cant get him to return. I have arranged my work schedule to accommodate his schedule many times ( up towards 10 times) and he doesn't show up. He always has an outrageous excuse of why he didnt show up. He will not communicate when he no shows, and claims that he leaves messages... None of these messages, I receive. I have no issues with my phone.

My last communication was that he was bringing three of the coops and he would be leaving his home in ten minutes. He never showed, and the next day claimed to have been incarcerated on his way. I have come to the conclusion that the coops do not exist, or Mr. Smith would want them out of his work space, as he claimed that they were in his way. I am not going to beg him for them, and Im not driving to his home to find that they do not exist.

Theoretically, I assume that I could take his wife, Donna Smith to small claims court since the deposit check was in her name. But, these people arent worth any more of my time.

Mr. Smith also made a claim while here (witnessed by two people) that he owned 51% of The Wicked Chicken Auction in Clayton, NC. This claim has been proven false by calling the real owner, Michelle. He only puts coops there on assignment. While this facility appears to be nice, I wouldnt buy one of his coops through them. I doubt that any service after the sale would exist. Why would he make this kind of exaggerated claim when it isnt true? Im not impressed.

If you want a good coop, make him build it, pick it up, and THEN pay him. Do not give this man money in advance. Try to ignore all his banter. I would know what I am talking about since I have purchased ten coops from him. Its a shame that Mr. Smith would rather pocket a few hundred of my dollars instead of completing a project that was worth several thousand dollars, and all my future business.... it doesnt make good business sense.

Bottom line: There are other coops builders that operate with integrity and honesty. Use them. I did!
Bill Reeves, Greensboro, NC

NOTE: Luke Smith was supplied a copy of this review and told to either deliver the coops or refund money by a specified date. Mr Smith elected to refund the money (proving to me no coops existed). However, he failed to send the refund. He has never done one thing he said he would do. I am done with the excuses.

My neighbor ordered AND PAID FOR a coop over a year ago. She has still not received her coop, and the owners are no longer accepting her phone inquiries. WARNING to all.
