I wanted to thank Aquaguard for fixing my water problems in my basement. Since then, the work that Aquargard provided was outstanding and take care of my problems since I had my house built in 2007. In 2013 they contacted me to see how things were going and sent a service tech out to check on the system. The customer service the have been providing since 2009 have been outstanding.

Thanks again

I contracted AquaGuard Waterproofing Corporation of Beltsville Maryland to install an interior perimeter drainage system, repair 3 wall cracks, clean and coat my walls with a cement-based coating. Instead, they gave my job entirely to an unlicensed, subcontractor (won't find they do that in their ads nor was I told so by their sales rep) who was totally incompetent, disreputable, and destroyed my basement putting in a dysfunctional drainage system, failing to repair the cracks and, worst yet, coating my interior walls with 700 square feet of exterior roofing tar! When I complained to AquaGuard Waterproofing Corporation directly they tried to convince me several times that it was all OK, that I should try living with the smell for awhile (it just might go away!!). When I told them it must come off the wall, they sent the same guy back who proceeded to have his workers do an uncontrolled grinding and demolition of part of the wall, sending massive amounts of poisonous silica dust throughout my basement and spreading into the house. When I complained they insisted I let him back in to try again! In the end I was forced into arbitration and was awarded over $50,000 in damages on a contract worth less than $19,000, such was the magnitude of the damages. AquaGuard argues it was all a simple slip up on their part and all the fault of the subcontractor. Their sworn depositions and hearing testimonies, however, tell a radically different story. They used the same guy, who was not only disreputable but also unlicensed, on several other jobs prior to mine. The General Manager admitted under oath when asked if he sought to determine the accuracy of what his sales people told potential customers: "Every week, we go over that, and every week, they go out and lie.". They do these and many other things. If you want more details you can visit my blog/website by searching for waterproofing advocate. There you can view numerous pictures of the mess they made, and read the contract, correspondence, and the arbitration records. I tried to work with about half a dozen AquaGuard employees, managers, and owners and from top to bottom found all of them difficult. Far from being a simple mistake, as they will claim, it is my belief that this was the inevitable outcome for any company that plays fast and loose with the laws and rules of Maryland and engages in highly questionable business practices.

Aquaguard took care of the water problem on the inside of our basement. We are grateful for the prompt assessment and scheduling of the work. Their crews were most diligent in getting the back breaking work done quickly and efficiently, and were courteous throughout the time they were working on our property.
