All correspondences were with Matt with Four Day Landscaping. We saw there was a Groupon for their aeration services, went to their website and saw that they were BBB accredited and firefighters so we decided to give them our business. Before I purchased the Groupon I called to see if we could get our lawn seeded and fertilized at the same time and Matt said yes. He said they would be in our area the following Tuesday, September 20, and I said that worked for us. He called back shortly after stating they would be in our area on Friday, September 23 and asked if that date worked. That worked for my husband and I and we agreed we would cut our grass short and water the night before so it would be in the best condition for the services. On Thursday, September 22, I got a frantic call from Matt asking where the Groupon was. I said it was not out because we agreed on Friday and that I would prefer they not do the services (after he insisted) because our grass was not cut, had not been watered, and it wasn't the date we agreed upon. He was frustrated but said he would be back the following day and agreed the grass was high. That night we mowed and watered the lawn and on Friday, the 23rd, I put the groupon on the door as they were supposed to come back to seed, aerate, and fertilize. When I came home from work the Groupon was still on the door and no services were performed. I called to try to see what happened and when/if they were coming, left a message, and no one returned my call. I called the following Monday with the same result. Finally, on Thursday, September 29 I get a call from an angry Matt wondering why I didn't leave the groupon out for them. I told him it was because they never showed that Friday and never called me back to reschedule. We had not mowed our lawn beforehand, had not watered it, and were in no position to have our yard aerated but because the services were already performed I gave the groupon number to him over the phone. He mentioned on the phone that they had seeded and fertilized already but did not ask for a credit card. He also did not send me an e-mail with follow up care instructions, as he said he would, once the services were performed so my husband and I just assumed nothing had been done other than the aeration so we never watered or followed up with the care. Mind you, on the day they performed their services without my authorization, our grass was way too tall and in the bare spots in our yard we could not even tell any seed or fertilizer had been put down. Today, October 17, Matt called wanting a credit card number for their services. Not knowing what else to do I paid for the seeding and the fertilization performed on a day I did not authorize, when my lawn was not ready, and that I couldn't even tell had been completed.
