Tactical Safety Institute

This is by far one of the best instructional classes I've had the opportunity of attending. Not only did the instructors, Chuck and Chris, cover all the information for the Texas State CHL, but included scenarios and videos to give students "real world" applications relevant to the knowledge they were gaining. I've read the 72 page "handbook" that the State produces - dry and legal-linguistic. Without a way to apply the information it can be overwhelming, and you could end up making a costly mistake. Chris and Chuck make sure that you have a solid grasp on the do's and don'ts of gun ownership.

The price was also a deal-clincher for me. I reviewed the list of certified instructors found on the State's DPS website, and visited the websites of those instructors who had them. I did not find one class in my area that was less than $120...and you brought your own weapon, your own ammo, your own safety gear, etc. With TSI, they provided safety gear for those who had none, and provided weapons for those who needed them - the student only needed to purchase the ammo. FABULOUS, guys!

I am glad that I chose TSI. I traveled 106 miles one-way to attend their class - this was SO worth it. The CHL class was informative, fun, and laid-back - perfect for me.
