I love Soleil, they are under new Management and have really stepped up to the plate in 2013 with a new menu, new staff, and most of all a new GM. Give Soleil on Lake Travis a try, you will be blown away.

As much as I try to avoid the ""Disneyland"" which now exists as the Oasis complex, I have found respite at the Soleil Restaurant. While the great wine list, varied food menu, and fantastic service are enough to make the drive, Soleil has the draw of Shelley Mac playing jazz on the breezeway. I will be making the trip again soon.

I admit that I am a big fan of Chef David Burton Sanchez. He had Apatite Cafe in Bee Caves and recently went to Soleil which is next to Oasis. Chef David introduced a new menu for Soleil on December 27, 2011. He is a true culinary artist. You will never be disappointed with your selection. The Beef Short Rib, Sea Bass, Pork Tenderloin are all delicious. However, there is so much more to the menu. You can follow him and Soleil on Facebook and the website.

Chef David has a rich history in culinary creations. He loves to awakening your taste buds through your senses

All it will take is one visit and you will be hooked. I read the other review about kids. I have not seen that as an issue but I would say just go out for a 7pm dinner.

The interior is beautiful with candlelight. Yes, it is overlooks the beautiful lake and have one heck of a sunset view. The bar is very nice and you feel comfortable sitting there with your friends and having smaill bites.

Run, Don't Walk!

We live in the area and were really exited to try this place. The husband and I decided to finally go there for a nice dinner. The restaurant is absolutely beautiful, and I have to say, the food was fantastic. It would have been a perfect night if it weren't for one thing - all the kids.

I love kids, don't get me wrong. I have two young ones myself and I teach preschool. But when I am dropping $125 on dinner and drinks for 2, I am usually trying to get away from kids. I know the restaurant can't control who goes there and whether they bring kids. But they actually encourage it by having a kids menu - on the same page, BTW, as $10 martinis.

I get that it is a touristy area, and people may just happen to have their kids in tow when they are at the Oasis complex, but there are plenty of other options for them - Oasis and Billy's BBQ next door. If it's upscale they are going for, then don't have a kids menu. If it's not upscale dining they're after, then they need to drop their prices. You can't have it both ways.

Honestly, with the quality of food and location, we would be regulars at this place. But the whole younger crowd (the party next to us actually had a kids table set-up) will probably keep us from going there again. And actually, the kids were very well behaved. But even the best behaved kids are still a distraction.
