Another big advantage of ADT is the bell box which is instantly recgonisble as a well known company and act's as an excellent deterant. The prices for a system are not as expensive as pepole think depending on the kind of system that you opt for natuarally radio systems can be more expensive but are much tidier and easier to fit than hard wired system and new battery technology means the batteries in the detectors only need changing every few years unlike systems of old that needed changing about every year.
The ADT Quick connect system is easy to use and if fully monitored by ADT. The monitoring service will contact up to 3 keyholders if the quick connect system is set off. The quality of the components is very good and the installation was done by qualified ADT engineers. The installers talked us through using the system via the wireless keypad. The keypad has an LCD display so you know the state of the alarm at anyone time. I order my system online through a supplier offering free Argos vouchers so this made it an easy choice rather than ordering direct with ADT. Very pleased with the ADT quick connect and the service ADT supplied.
My headache started when a local sales rep talked us into signing up for a month-to-month contract for our home. There's only one problem, ADT doesn't offer a month-to-month contract (unless the sales rep makes a note on the contract), contracts require at least a 2 year commitment.
Hey,, I just want to leave something for ADT. This company is servicing a lot of customers yet they are still able to meet the needs of each!. Their systems has lesser faults compared to other companies. I asked my friends what security company should I get for my business. I thought of something else but they all suggested ADT. I asked them why,, they told me -- the have been in the business for more than 100 years.Proven and tested.
Do not waste your money and security on ADT. You spend more than a $1,000 getting set up, then you pay a monthly fee of $29.95. Within six months the sensors begin to fail and you get nuisance alarms. When you complain, ADT tells you it's the batteries. You replace the batteries at $6 each with no effect and ADT tells you it's still the batteries . . . They offer to come out and check your sensor and fix them for about $185 each. Then you start turning off "zones" to stop the nuisance alarms. Finally when you've had enough and cancel, they skin you for another month's fee -- the 30-day notice provision. In brief, ADT's technology is shoddy and their business practices are abusive.
I purchased a medical alert system after my mother fell a few months ago and it saved her life. I couldn??t be happier with the company we chose or the promptness of their response. I think every parent and grandparent living alone should have one of these and ADT is the right one!
There are a number of alarm triggers with ADT like the Smoke detector, Carbon monoxide detector, Burglar alarm, and the Key pad can be used to summon medical aid, fire brigade or police. The cost of the service is 25 per month which includes regular and emergency maintenance. Standard contract seems to be 36 months. We feel a lot safer and are very happy with the arrangement.
