We offer yoga classes for all levels: Beginner: A good place to start that will leave you feeling relaxed and refreshed. This is a class of simple yoga postures for people new to yoga. The class includes instruction in basic poses or asanas, Anusara Yoga alignments, breathing techniques and relaxation. No prior yoga experience necessary. Brand new beginners welcome. Level I: For beginning students who wish to further their understanding of the Anusara practice and principles while learning a wider range of yoga poses. No prior experience necessary. Level I&II: This is a mixed level class, while suitable for some beginners, it offers more of a challenge, moves at a faster pace, and provides more detailed asana and alignment instruction. the poses are generally more challenging and inversions are introduced. This is fairly rigorous practice. Level II: A challenging class with advanced poses including inversions, backbends and arm balances. Builds strength and flexibility. At least one year prior yoga experience required. Slow Therapeutic Yoga: Our Slow Therapeutic Yoga classes are a place where anyone can move and do yoga safely. They are geared towards those who need a very gentle yoga practice including seniors, people with physical challenges, cancer patients and survivors, and anyone else looking for a gentle approach. These small classes includes breathing, relaxation, restorative and gentle yoga poses done with a therapeutic approach to open the joints and safely stretch muscles while also building strength. Our studio teaches Anusara Yoga which has a strong focus and system dedicated to healthy anatomical alignment applied with compassion and care. All of our teachers are highly trained and will personally attend to each student’s needs. We welcome you in whatever physical condition you may be in and look forward to working with you. A number of local chiropractors highly recommend our studio and this class was mentioned in the Bergen Record August 2012 Aligned Flow: An alignment based vinyasa class of constantly moving poses, one flowing into the next. Move to the groove on ambient music. Designed to give a gently aerobic practice while building strength and flexibility. We offer an open Ievel which is suitable for anyone and and Level I&II more rigorous version of this popular class. Pilates Mat Class: Pilates Mat blends yoga, body strengthening exercises and stretching to align and balance all of the muscle groups creating a stronger, leaner and more flexible body. The class includes deep breathing techniques, flowing, precise movements geared to strengthen the core including the seat, stomach, inner thighs, and pelvic floor. Pilates Mat can lead to improved posture, reduced back pain, as well as increased flexibility and mobility in all the joints.

Since our inception, Shree Yoga Studios has donated over 10% of its after-tax profits to charity. In celebration of our 7th year anniversary in 2012, we donated seven heifers through Heifer International. Other local charities we support: Kula for Karma, Helping Hands, Neighbor to Neighbor, Bpeace and CASA of NJ. We were featured in the Wall Street Journal for our charitable contributions to CASA in March 2012.
