Does anyone know how to get a hold of this company? My husband purchased a massage voucher for me and I was not able to book anything until June because they had no availability. I have been trying to call and no one is answering. HELP?!?!

Horrible experience! The staff was VERY unprofessional (especially the owner, Mel- he was rude and degrading). It took forever to get an appointment there, and once I finally got one, I waited almost half an hour before being helped!

Mel and Priscilla are fabulous! They are incredibly nice and always have a 'customers first' attitude. I've had several facials there and my skin always feels fantastic afterward. Can't really say enough wonderful things about this spa

Tried for almost a week to get an appointment. One online booking and 2 phone calls to them later I've yet to talk to a scheduler. Can't imagine how disorganized they must be once you get there. With a day spa popping up on every corner

The prices are only within a competitive range if you purchase the monthly memberships. I think the owner means well, but he is VERY pushy with up-selling, pre-selling services, or selling memberships. It's a big turn off to be pressured

I have been impressed by the service at Perfect Getaway. My wife and I first were exposed to them with an online discount coupon for a couples massage. We have had massages at other places before and none of them have left the impression

My wife and I have been coming here since December and I have to say, I love it!

Every time I get a massage here, I leave feeling invigorated and relaxed at the same time. I suffer from some chronic pain due to idiocy in my 20s and this place consistently offers me solace from the daily aches.

My wife fell while we were dog sitting and jacked up her back pretty bad. She even had to take a day off of work due to the shooting pains. After a vist to PG Day Spa and an hour with Tim, she was up and running again like nothing happened!

Mel, the owner, is about the nicest guy on the planet. Every time we go in, we feel like we are the only clients in the place whether they are busy or not. Talking with him every time we go adds a perfect finishing touch to an already fabulous visit! I totally recommend this place!

Well when you call several times and never get a hold of an actual person to schedule your first appointment, it's a red flag. That is what happened to me. I called several times to try to schedule an appointment, but it always went to voicemail. I left a message with my contact information and no one ever called me back. I will never contact this place again for spa services nor recommend it to anyone else! Beware and don't waste your time!

I took my little sister and her husband here when they came to visit from NY (4/17/2012). Everyone was so nice and very professional. I got my brows shaped and we all got massages. None of us wanted to to get off our tables and my brother -in-law was the first to say ""the next time they come we are coming here and no where else"". They are reasonably priced. The only down fall was unless you use the valet to park, you have to use the meters and hope you don't run out of time. Once you lay down on the table I'm sure like us you wont want to get up!! very very very awesome!!!

This was just a bad experience from start to finish. I should have known that the deal was too good to be true for the couples massage, but we went for it anyway! The room had partitions blocking the glass walls, which despite reassurance from staff that you can't see through, I still felt less than comfortable. The massage tables were portable so I was sliding around the floor during my massage. The massage started off my facing up and by the time we got to my back, the time was almost up. This was after I requested emphasis to be placed on my back. Instead of sheets, the table had itchy hospital blankets that were then used to give the majority of my back massage. They used hot towels that provided no satisfaction as well, they were scratchy and dishtowel like. The massage itself was poor and oscillated from a caressing of my skin to awkward stretches. The female was sniffling throughout the massage, and I finally asked that she blow her nose. She also had smoker breath which is never enjoyable when you are trying to relax.

My massage was mediocre, but that was the least of my concerns. The lobby seemed okay, but I was a little taken back by the ""Please Remove Your Shoes Sign,"" especially because there were no slippers or anything to slide your feet in. I was not about to walk around the lobby barefoot. I also was not pleased with the fact they rescheduled my massage to a later time without consulting me first. I receieved an email confirmation for my appointment and it listed a new time. And Of course when the receptionist called to confirm, she acted like it had been at the rescheduled time all along. When it was time for my actual massage, I was lead through a super dark hallway to the first treatment room (the one directly behind the front desk), the only light was from one candle burning. I thought it was excessively dark, but I didn't think too much of it. When I got in to the treatment room it was also very dark. There was only light from one candle on the wall, the other candles in the room were burnt out. Multiple candles in the place were burnt out. My massage therapist was okay, pretty much what I expected from a $40 coupon from Living Social. I could hear the receptionist talking and slamming a cabinet during my entire massage and I could also hear the restaurant that is right next to the spa, not to mention the fist pumping music coming from upstairs. So here is where the fun really begins...after my massage the therapist left me to get dressed. The room was so dark I could not see anything so I tried to find a light, but there was no switch anywhere. I then turned on the floor lamp and almost died when light hit the room. There were 1-2 inch gaps between the walls and the flooring, no baseboard, the floors were filthy, USED wax strips were strewn on the floor, and dust covered everything! I used the bathroom before I left and was even more disgusted with what I saw in there. The ""Up&Up"" brand hand soap was empty, there was missing tile around the toliet, the baseboard was filthy, and there was a shade blocking off an area of the bathroom. I don't even want to know what was behind there!!! Oh and please be careful when you are walking in to the bathroom because the ""new"" flooring is puckering and if you step wrong you will trip! \r

This is not a perfect getaway! This is not a spa. Take your money and time somewhere else!

I had the pleasure of using Perfect Getaway Day Spa for my engagement plans. I contacted them to see if it would be possible to pamper my soon to be fiance and surprise her at the end by popping the question.

The owner Mel was great to work with. I must have called him 10 times leading up to the day. He assured me that it would work out perfectly. My fiance started out with an hour facial followed by a hour massage (both which she loved-and she's had her fair share) and then was instructed to relax in the back room with wine and chocolates. I won't give away the whole secret on how I surprised her, but Mel was integral in allowing me to pull it off at just at the right moment. We were extremely happy with the service from Mel and his team and how everything turned out. We plan to return!

Shotty place, male masseuse is a molester, business owner is creepy.

I bought the Perfect Getaway Groupon for a massage and facial - and wish I hadn't. From the first moment I was on my guard - the lobby was cheap and the entire operation didn't seem well-organized. Frankly, this all would have been fine - except for what happened next.

My massage was terrible. Not only did the masseuse use WAY too much oil (honestly, I was sticking to the sheet to the point that he couldn't move it without peeling it off), but he was inappropriate in his technique. What started as a normal massage quickly took a turn to a place that I wasn't comfortable. I was on my back when he quickly pulled the sheet from my chest and replaced it with a towel - and proceeded to inappropriately massage my stomach - going higher and lower than he should - and resting...himself...on the back of my head. I immediate tensed up, and he got the hint and moved on. I should have left then - but honestly, I was so shocked I think I thought it was a mistake.

The rest isn't even worth the time it takes to type - the facial was a joke (finger painting, not proper) and the owner proceeded to beg me to tip more. After an experience likethat? Fat chance.

Long story short - no matter how good the deal is, stay away.

My husband bought a voucher through Groupon (I think) for a couples 60 minute each massage and facial. We decided to go for an anniversary treat on a nice quiet weekday. After a nice lunch at The Loop almost next door we arrived earlier than we anticipated and I thought we were going to have to wait in the lobby for our appointment time. We were greeted sooner than I expected because I thought everyone would be out to lunch. After filling out our first time paperwork and being offered a beverage, we only waited a few minutes before Tim, our masseuse, came out to chat with us about our previous massage experiences, what we liked, and our expectations. He was very friendly and sociable.

After being escorted to our room we only had to wait a few minutes before our Tim and our esthetician arrived and began our services, I started with the facial while my husband started with the massage. The facial was nice and gentle though not the best I have had certainly not the worst. I disliked the steamer they used because it was just one small directional spray that left the edges of my face feeling very cold while the center was very warm. But enough of that, onto the good part.

Tim was absolutely Fantastic!!! He used the perfect amount of pressure all over my body and had very soft hands, no rough callouses anywhere. He frequently checked in with me about the pressure since he was worried about bruisingme (I bruise easily) which was very good. Because of his fun, open personality I felt comfortable with him and respected even though I had no clothes on. I can't wait for another session.

After we took our time getting dressed we were guided to a small little lounge where our wine was waiting for us and offered to take as much time as we liked to relax. Though there were people walking through the lounge I didn't feel it was obtrusive since they were all very nice as well. Tim even came back to chat with us and asked us how he did and what we liked. My husband loved the wonderful hard pressure he used on his sore muscles and I enjoyed the steady, lighter pressure he used on me. He thanked us for coming in and told us what a pleasure it was to massage the two of us and invited us back. I definitely felt like he appreciated our business and treated us more like friends rather than a business transaction.

The whole spa is still clearly in the process working out all the kinks of being a new business and making the space work as a spa but overall they were very nice and professional. I would recommend Tim to anyone!

I'm writing this review because my wife is too nice to write it herself. She just got her first massage at this hole in the wall because of a Living Social coupon. She said the massage was not relaxing or satisfying. But that is not why I'm giving this place one star. I'm writing this review because as she was paying for the service, the owner/proprietor made a point of telling her that she needed to tip on what would have been the full amount (which is fine), and that she was expected to tip 20% (which is not fine). I consider demanding a high-percentage tip for bad service to be the height of rude, arrogant shopkeeping. I hope that tip was worth this crappy review.

I found this place with a Living Social groupon. Despite the fact that the phone was literally ringing non-stop (during my visit), they manged to get me in within two days of my first call.

(Tip: while they're inundated with this groupon deluge, contacting them through email for appointments will get faster replies than phone calls: info at perfectgetawaydayspamn dot com)

Mel was at the desk when I arrived. The guy is super mellow and friendly, despite the fact that they were clearly busy. Mel offered me water (a nice lemon-cucumber mixture that I'd never had before), coffee or wine(!).

I scribbled out their first-time customer health form and two minutes later I was on the table. Bill was my masseur. I'd never had a male masseuse (in the US) before, but Bill was great. Perfect pressure and thorough. He stopped everything when he found a kink in my back and worked on that thing like it owed him money.

The table was heated, the oil was heated and the massage-ending wet towels were heated. I was never chilly or uncomfortable for a second.

Afterward, I was invited to linger as long as necessary, which I did, drinking three cups of that magic water and chatting with Mel who is super personable.

Despite being open relatively recently, they seem to be finding their rhythm quickly. Mel mentioned they've added facials and waxing to their repertoire.

Overall, a great first experience with these guys.

Im going to start by saying that the testimonial by Mplswriter sounds extremely whiny, needy and malcontent. This is a much needed new business in the up and coming north loop neighborhood and my husband and i have been there 3 times since it opened in october.
The owner is extremely approachable and amenable to feedback. On our first visit there, he mentioned it was a new business and they were still in growth mode. My husband being an entrepreneur as well took an immediate liking to him and passed on some words of wisdom. We received thank you cards in the mail 2 days later and that made them stick out to us.

On our second visit, we noticed some cosmetic changes had been implemented and i could see the vision slowly taking shape.

We just had another couples massage tonight and i had to come write a review because its officially our go to spot in the neighborhood.

We walked in tonight and were personally greeted by the owner, he hung our coats, offered us tea, coffee, hot chocolate or cappuccino and promptly made our coffee himself.
Our massage therapists were extremely welcoming, told us to feel free to redirect them to problem areas if we needed more attention focused on some parts than others and then got to work. The massage itself was calm and soothing, there was no robotic voice with the surround sound and wow..God, the warm towels at the end are to die for. Im in my 40's and have had my share of massages but i have never had warm towels applied at the end of a massage.
We were ushered to a nice intimate lobby in the back afterwards where our wine and truffles awaited. My husband and i sat on the barstools and had about 8-10 minutes reconnecting before we walked home to our loft. As always the checkout process was flawless, the owner personally chatted with us, we tipped our 20 percent gratuity on the $150 price thats clearly advertised on their website and left.

Now for the whiny reviewer, you bought a crowdcut. If you want to live a champagne lifestyle on a beer budget, then at least be open minded to the fact that mistakes are a possibility. did you even contact the owner of the spa personally to voice your displeasure before you came on here to rain on everyone else's parade? You went bargain shopping, you were probably a snotty bitch from the moment you walked in and you probably never gave the place a chance. You even complained about the clock in the room? give me a break..you cant even hear the clock over the surround sound.
And then to insinuate being duped on wine and truffles? Really? I have sat in the lobby waiting for my massage and seen them hand truffles out to guests just for being awesome and fun while they were at the spa..two things which you clearly arent.
If you want to be high maintenance, stop shopping on crowdcut and go pay $300 plus for a couples massage at one of the snotty spas downtown.

it is a new business and we have been proud to watch it evolve and grow positively for the better. we love this spa and bought both of our parents spa packages for valentines day to it and we will definitely be singing their praises to everyone who cares to listen.

I was reading reviews of the Perfect Getaway and came upon one that was the opposite of my experience. Therefore, I had to share mine....

I paid full-price for a hour massage. I heard of Perfect Getaway through neighborhood talk, as I am a local to the area. I am not new to the massage service industry, and am always looking for a new place to try and perhaps stick with!

When I made my appointment the service I received was nothing but honest, genuine, and enjoyable. The owner mentioned how new the business was and explained that they were in a development stage. Even after he mentioned it, I was impressed at how well things were done for a new business. While I waited for my massage I enjoyed some coffee and just relaxed. The atmosphere was very calm, and I appreciated that. Everything seemed to run quite smoothly.

The massage itself was very enjoyable. The massage therapist was nice and he made me feel very comfortable. He mentioned at the beginning of the massage that if I was uncomfortable with anything, to let him know. He mentioned that communication is key, and he needs to know if I am enjoying it. The temperature in the room was just right, massage was relaxing, and after I loved the warm towels. It was the first massage I had ever received where I was covered in warm towels, and it was a great way to end it. On top of the wine that was served and the overall service, I was very happy with my experience. I will definitely be going back and recommending Perfect Getaway to friends!

I used Crowd Cut to purchase a 60 minute full-body couple's massage and body wrap with wine and chocolate truffles (valued at $275) for the bargain price of $99. The first thing that turned me off was the loud ticking clock in the massage room, so bad it was comical. I left my underwear on, as I have with previous massages, with the understanding that the massage therapists would not go beneath any clothing. When the therapists came in and I realized the female was going to be massaging my boyfriend while a male would be massaging me, I was a little uncomfortable, but assumed this was the norm for couple's massages and went with the flow. My therapist covered me in so much massage oil, I was aware of little else except how gooey I felt. I soon realized he had to do this because his fingers were calloused and rough to the touch. Without half an inch of lubrication in between us, I would be having my back sanded instead of massaged. In the middle of what should have been relaxing music, we were jarringly interrupted by a robotic voice advertising for Spotify. Eventually it's time to flip onto my stomach for the back massage. This is when the male massage therapist takes my underwear and slides it down past my butt, exposing my bare bottom and rubbing it down with oil. I was frozen with shock and obscenely uncomfortable. I had left that underwear on because (male or female) I didn't want anyone going that far south. To have a middle-aged man I don't know pulling my underwear down made me sick with discomfort. It took me a while to work up the courage to break the silence in the room, but I eventually reached down and pulled my underwear back up, saying,""I think I'm going to leave these on if that's ok."" No response. I felt violated and embarrassed. Even a small, ""No problem"" would have set me at ease, but the man said nothing. \r
It was awful, but I held out hope - there was still a body wrap to follow. The therapist used a hot towel to rub some of the oil off, but this was immediately followed by the instructions to put our clothes back on and return to the lobby when we were ready. We got up, my boyfriend and I returned to the lobby where the receptionist handed us our chocolates. This was clearly the part where I was supposed to pay the gratuity and leave. I asked him confusedly why we hadn't received the body wrap. The receptionist told us that there had been a typo on Crowd Cut's part. I said it would have been nice to have known this at the beginning of our appointment. He said he would have told us if we had given him the voucher right away. I looked over to the other receptionist, a woman to whom I'd given the voucher immediately upon our arrival, and told him that I HAD given it to her (AND told them over the phone the day I booked the appointment). At this point, I asked if we could please have our wine. He said of course, as if he had been planning to bring it all along, though I strongly doubted it. We drank it awkwardily in the lobby. When we were done, I went back up to the counter to pay the gratuity. I asked how much the service had cost, and he told me $150. Curious, because the Crowd Cut voucher I'd purchased listed the value at $275. My underwear wasn't the only thing that was ripped off that day. Avoid this place. They don't deserve your time, money or dignity, and trust me - they will take it all.
