My husband booked a party for our 5 year old son (youngest of 4) for his birthday in two weeks. The confirmation email didn't give all the details so I called to simply walk through and make sure I wasn't missing anything. The owner answered the phone (after I pressed zero for 'Customer Service') and when I asked her some basic questions she very rudely barked: ""It's IN THE EMAIL""! She just continued to answer all of my questions with, ""It's IN THE EMAIL"" over and over. I calmly responded that the details were not ALL in the email which is why I was calling to make sure I didn't need to bring anything. She was unbelievably rude and disgusting and stated, ""I am perfectly fine if you want to take your business elsewhere!"" Good lord! I called to confirm a few simple things and this woman was down right disgusting. We moved to the Northeast about 7 years ago and I have found folks to be so very kind, generous, and helpful....this woman is absolutely deplorable and shouldn't be alIowed to operate an establishment catering to children. I would not spend a single cent in this place and the last thing I want to do is schedule a party in order to encourage other parents to spend money with such a rude, disgusting, discourteous, and deplorable 'business person'. How disappointing. Our little boy was truly looking forward to the experience.

My wife and I recently held our Son's 9th birthday party at Fun Squared. First of all, we thought the renovation they did was excellent. We really enjoyed one of their new birthday party rooms. We thought then entire booking process was simple and painless. We thought the staff were very professional and had no issues with anyone who we booked the party with. We really appreciated the fact that we had our own birthday coordinator and didn't have to share her with any other parties. The pizza was excellent, our coordinator told us they get fresh dough from Stew Leonards!!! \r
\r
With the new laser tag, video game area, snack bar, and lounge, it has something for everyone. We will definitely be back.

I never post things like this, but was compelled because I have no other recourse....\r
\r
I don't even now where to start with the details of the owners unexplainable reluctance to work with us on a rescheduling (not cancellation) of a birthday party. \r
\r
Due to a severe outbreak of the flu in the Rocky Hill school system all but one my child's partygoers were unable to attend his birthday. We contacted the owner a day an half before the scheduled birthday. She the ""top dog"" (she called herself this) made it clear that she would pocket the deposit ($50.00) and we would have to reschedule by putting down an additional $50.00. The money was not the issue here. It was her complete lack of willingness to work with us.\r
\r
From a business perspective I understand the need to take a deposit. You have to hedge against the possibility that a customer simply just does not show up or cancels at the very last minute with no intention of using the facility. This was not the case. \r
\r
An issue beyond our control left us without anyone attending the party. We simply asked to reschedule and have the deposit applied to the future date. She was not sympathetic in least. At one point she even hung up on me.\r
\r
Once we got her back on the phone, I tried to explain my lack of understanding in the business logic. Her decision not to apply the $50.00 was extrmely shortsighted and showed a lack of business acumen not to mention horrible customer service. I guess I should not have expected this level of sophisitcated business sense from an owner of a bowling alley (tongue in cheek). \r
\r
Think about it - the owner was willing to let me go as a customer over $50.00. I would be spending anywhere from $200 to $300 the day of the party and thus she was going to incur a net loss of at least $150.00 by choosing not to work with me on applying the $50.00 to a future date. And, this assuming the current party is the only party I was going to host for my kids, at this facility over the next ten years. The laser and bowling business must be doing pretty well to treat customers this way.\r
\r
She has a every right to hold onto the deposit, I do not dispute that, but she has lost a cusotmer who was attempting to reason with her. It was extremely frustrating and has left me with no other choice but to warn others to be cautious if they choose to engage this owner. \r
\r
It is a shame that what seems to be the owners personal ISSUES are getting in the way of a place for kids. \r

My family has been going to the T-Bowl on Sunday evenings for our family night out. It is great, they run the Sunday Rock & Bowl which at $6.00 per person with everything included - how can you beat it!!!! For our family it is a great value at $24, definitely beats the movies at $10.00 a piece. It works out great we have dinner at the snack bar and still get home early enough for the kids to get to bed before school. I recommend it to anyone!\r
\r
The staff is courteous and always willing to help us out!

I was recently at T-Bowl and had a great time. My kids thought the new Knights Quest Laser Tag was awesome.\r
And the pizza is out of this world. The place has been recently renovated and it looks fun, I like it there

The owner of T-Bowl Duckpin Lanes is a total psycho. I strongly recommend that you steer clear of their facility. There has been so many other stories that I have heard about the owner other then the stories of my own. She is a very controlling, unpleasant, disturbed old woman.

Birthday Parties are a very important to the T-Bowl Lanes. Once a party is booked, we review the terms of our contract with every customer. A written confirmation is sent reviewing their detailed booking, itinerary of the day, cake choice and food selection. Each customer is also asked to please confirm the minimum guarantee attending on the Monday before their scheduled event. This enables our business to determine the number of lanes you are using (and we are holding), the appropriate party spot for you, the number of staff working, the food ordered, and begin the 3 day process of making your appropriate sized cake . As a reminder, we make a courtesy call on the Monday before your scheduled to discuss your party with you, the number attending and any special requests you may have. If you are not in, we leave a message by phone or an email. We await your response. If we do not hear from you, it is our employee's reponsibility to continue to try and contact you so there are no misunderstandings.\r
\r
From time to time a parent fails to return multiple phone calls and/or emails. Our only alternative is to use the information given at the time of booking. As a result we may have held lanes for your that are not needed, made a cake that is far too large and placed you in an area that is too big or too small. This is unfortunate for all. Simply stating the ""Customer is always right"" is a blanket statement often times unfairly used, and undeserved, as in this case. \r
\r
The aforementioned party entered into a contract with us and failed to live up to it's terms. May I also mention, she DID NOT PAY for the cake upgrade she agreed to. Any customer who enters a business they have a contract with and states "" I don't care what your contract says"" when they walk in the door will surely be a person any business with fail to please, even with the best service.

What ever happened to The Customer is always right? After attemping 3 times to make a Birthday party reservation. I was told by the owner Kim that I did not confirm the # children in my party. I did confirm the # of kids & spoke with a person named Debbie. I was told as my son's party was going on that I have to pay for the 4 children difference. I apologized for the confusion & told them that was alot of $.($14.00 per child) There was no one there to make any decisions so I had to spend time on the phone locating Kim, not at my sons party. Kim then responded saying ""We don't need your business"" ! This a bowling alley there is no pre-ordering there is no reason that she needed to be so rude. I would understand if my party was short 20 kids. Who hasn't had a 9 year old 's party where a couple kids just don't show? After telling me how wrong I was & that my assumptions that Debbie was capable of her job were wrong. Kim told me that I had to pay the difference for her having ordered the larger cake a $7.95 charge. That was perfectly acceptable to me. Why the huge arguement?? Customer Service there was horrible!! The high school student ""party helper"" was very inappropriately dressed & very hard to find. The Ice Cream cake was hard as a rock the kids could not use a plastic spoon to eat it. The helper even broke 4 candles trying to put them in the cake. I will spend more $$ to get better service & to enjoy my son's party next time. I would NEVER reccomend this place to anyone.
