In searching via internet for a car, Keith Cambra communicated with me (even at night) and it seemed they may have the CRV I wanted. I went in and Jim Mihalitsas was very helpful. I loved the car and bought it that day. I got a good price and interest rate. Since I had not planned on buying so fast, I had my car with me so they offered to deliver it (to Santa Monica) the next day. Jim drove it up and sat and showed me everything, set up my cell phone sync too. Even the finance guy, JJ, was fairly low pressure when trying to sell the extras to me. Everything went very smoothly and it was a pleasant experience. So far I love the car.

I made online appt a few days ago and called in one day earlier to confirm. When I got there at 9:30AM on time, Art Jauregui came to help me and I'm telling him what service I want. When he checked the profile and found out my appt was assigned to John already. I have to wait for 10 minutes until he finished his customer service and his phone. Then he just run the paperwork and told me it will take 2-2:30hours.
I said I made online appt and should not be treated as walk-in. They asked me talk to Service manager. The manager came in at 11AM and checked around to promise to expedite the service in 30 mins. However, 1 hour later, still waiting...
by the way, their online website needs a lot of improvement such as service Honda specials on website expires on 7/31/11 already. Wi-Fi is not working until tell the accountant in the checkout room.

Just like other customer said, I don't think these service guys really care about the customers. I would suggest to find a qualified local auto shop with some good mechanics to fix your Honda. I wouldn't take my Gardena Honda for regular service anymore! by the way, it's 12:10PM, still even didn't get my call.

CLASSIC ""bait and switch"" from Fernando and friends at Gardena Honda. I was driving from an hour away so I called beforehand to make sure the vehicle in the advertisement they placed in the LA Times was still available. Fernando says he has two (silver and white) available. I told him I would go with the white, he says he will hide the vehicle for me until I get there. I get there, he shows me the car, we sit down, takes my information, runs my credit, then ""finds-out"" from his boss that the vehicle in the ad was a ""one at this price"" and has already been sold. Luckily, he can still lease me the car for a 4k mark-up on the deal in the ad. Nothing mentioned about this being his mistake or honoring the price since I drove from an hour away with two friends based on his word that he both had and would hold the vehicle for me. Complete waste of my and two others day. I would put this experience on Fernando, but according to him, this was his bosses call, so apparently this is just how business is conducted at Gardena Honda. For my part, I will be venting on every ""reviews"" forum available about my extremely annoying experience.

We have the extended warranty which we have used on several occasions.Right now the stereo is out and we are waiting for parts. Par for the course: I have left 3 messages and called the operator once in the last 24hrs and have not heard back from the service dept. Since we have the warranty, I take it to Honda for warranty work. I can honestly say, I dont think these guys really care about the customers. If you dont have a Honda warranty, I would suggest you find a qualified local auto shop with some good mechanics to fix your Honda. I wouldnt take my Gardena Honda for regular service....ever!

If I have a question any Honda questions Edgar is the person to talk to. They are very knowledgeable and are very friendly at this dealer. I recently had my daughters Honda civic at Gardena Honda service department after the car was stolen and recovered, missing a wheel, radio and ignition damaged the car was undrivable and the service adviser Grady was very helpful in getting the car back on the road as fast as possible, with my daughter in collage and working full time and her car as the only transportation I thank Grady and Gardena Honda for getting my little girl back on track.

Being new to the Los Angeles area I was hoping to find a car company that could honestly assist me and help to find the best match with what I needed. After stopping in over 10 car lots I stopped at DCH Gardena Honda. Long story short it was an awful experience. They ended up selling me a car, but then after three days of problems taking the car back. They somehow were not able to account of some of the money they had charged me (totaling over $2000) dollars. When I asked they gave me a blank stare and took the car back. watch out!

Purchased a 09 LX Civic over here. The experience was a complete nightmare. First I was told the car I wanted was available for the price I wanted. When I went there, they then told me it's only available with add on accessories and charged me double the MSRP. Paper work and waiting was at least 3 times longer than my average car buying experience. Lots of useless waiting around. Sales person promised me many functions that at the end didn't deliver. The person who was responsible for the paper work was rude. The haggle me for getting their over price warranty, lojack, car alarm and others. The offered more than double the price where you can find the exact same thing outside, and lied about that you can get those services once you walk out of the dealership. When I rejected his offer nicely, then I can immediately see him turn mad, and becomes really rude, and started to lecture us like we are bunch of bad people. The sales person promised me full tank of gas during the sales, but at the end I only gotten half a tank and refuse to fill it up. During the sales I offer them an AAA check, which the sales person instructed me to write them a personal check instead. He promised they wouldnt deposit my personal check until 5 days later, so I have time to deposit the AAA check. At the end they deposit my check immediately and I was charged for fee by my bank. Terrible terrible service! They lie and lie until they get you to buy the car, which at the end they didnt keep any promise. The Sales persons name was Perry Greene. Id stay away from his lies if I were you. He will promise you many good things, which at the end not giving you any of it.

I would never go back, and will tell all my friends and co-workers the same. I actually love the cars Honda makes - I've owned 6! and almost 7 this week. I am extremely disappointed at Gardena Honda's rude attitude. I may not dress like I have a whole lot on money, but I honestly do believe people should still be treated with simple respect. : (
