I am very surprised by some of the negative reviews I have read about Beaver Toyota. My experience there was an emotional one, as I had decided to trade in my recently deceased husband's Lexus for a car that was more affordable to maintain. I was very pleasantly surprised when I was offered the Blue Book value for my used Lexus (yes--I did my research before I made the decision to trade it in). I hated to see it (the Lexus) go, but Mary and Faron were wonderfully kind and supportive in helping me to pick out a car that was more in line with my budget. Although the Lexus was paid for, the maintenance and repair fees for a car with 60,000 miles on it were becoming overwhelming. Faron worked with the bank(s) to get me a very low monthly payment on the certified 2014 Corolla I bought, which was a minor miracle. Ryan, in the finance department, was great--kind and professional, like everyone with whom I dealt. When I got ready to drive home after saying goodbye to the Lexus, both Faron and Mary gave me big hugs, wished me the best, and told me to call them anytime if I needed help with anything. I love this dealership, not only for past service (which was always professional) but for my buying experience yesterday. My sincere thanks to all of you!!

P.S. When I discovered that my car did not have mats, Faron took me to the parts counter and bought me front and back mats. Customer service does not get any better than this.

100% Fantastic!!! What a great experience it was purchasing our new Prius. Our sales rep, Robert Nolen, was so nice and easy to work with - no pressure and hype - which made the entire transaction headache free :) Brett Morgan, the manager, was genuine and super helpful, and the detail technician made sure our new vehicle was showroom pretty. All the sales reps and receptionists were kind and enthusiastic. I didn't get a chance to sink a few golf balls on the putting green - will make sure to do that when I come back for the first of my complimentary ToyotaCare 2yr/25K maintenance visits. Thanks, Beaver Toyota!

I recently bought a car at Beaver Toyota in St. Augustine and it was an all-around fantastic experience. My salesperson, Kris Rollins, was exactly what we all want a car salesman to be. He was knowledgeable, professional, never pushy, friendly and made me feel very comfortable. He treated me like family, which allowed my car buying experience to actually be fun instead of a chore. I also worked closely with the Finance Department which was another positive experience. They got me a really great rate, explained everything to me in a way that I could really understand it and even found a nice warranty for my vehicle.

I had a truly wonderful car buying experience and plan to tell all of my friends and family about Beaver Toyota. There is no better place to buy a car in North Florida. I am so happy with my Prius and my new friends at Beaver Toyota!

Extremely sexist and condescending. I purchased a vehicle for my daughter in April with my husband present. Relatively painless process aside from the usual tactics. I returned in September to inquire about purchasing two vehicles. Criteria was provided but little to no follow up. I ended up purchasing a vehicle at another dealership. I returned yet again to purchase a Prius. My interest was that the dealership is supposedly family owned and community oriented. It was my intention to develop a relationship with a locally owned dealership.

Once I chose a vehicle, they insisted my husband be present. Left me sitting at the negotiation table for 20 min while my hubby took our son to the restroom. Would not begin until he returned, yet when I rec'd an call I had to take, they still tried to continue to negotiate.

After some back and forth and a color change on the vehicle we all but had a deal sealed. I had the check cut, made the appointment and was told on the day of the appointment that the vehicle had been sold. Very disappointed , I still relented. No alternatives or comparable deals were offered.

Although i had been very clear about the criteria , this was ignored time and time again. Offering high mileage vehicles, wrong models, etc.

12/27 spoke to Mr May. He advised he was really busy, didn't mean to be rude but would call me back in 20 min. 2 hrs later, I called back. He apologized, etc.

After speaking to Mr May, he was cordial but basically gave me the brush off ,continually pushing a lease. Finally,I was passed off to Francisco, the used car manager, who was present at the negotiation for the vehicle I ultimately went back to return to purchase, to find it had been sold. Then the pushing of the higher mileage vehicles re-commenced.

During the conversation I had with. Francisco he explained "Sweetheart , sweetheart you don't understand . In order to purchase a car for what you want you need a car with the asking price 10,000." (Keep in mind we had all but another deal wrapped up until it was sold from underneath me for a car with the asking price if 15800 a week ago.)

He actually said that with my trade (2005 Honda Odyssey, regularly maintained) that they had already agreed said to give me 4500 and the 7000 cash , I would need to purchase a car with a 10,000 asking price. Um, I am not a math major but, I can add. Note: I had already agreed to pay tax, title, and their dealer fee separately.

He and I went round and round a few times with lots of sweetheart you just don't understand BS. He was right , I don't understand how I can give you my trade that you say is worth only 4500 then 7000 cash yet, should be looking for a car that has a 10000 asking price. Really?

Francisco closed by inviting me to the dealership tomorrow so that I can see it on the computer to understand. I explained that I understood that there are many factors that drive the market. They were ready to make the deal on the other vehicle and if the perfect storm happens again :right car, right price, right mileage, has been sitting on the lot long enough, etc. Call me.

He advised he had 300+ vehicles to look through and would call me back in 2 hours. No call back.

Tip: They boast that their dealer fee is 699, the lowest in the industry. Its 599 next door at Honda.

I had been particularly interested in Prius vehicles because I own and operate a green cleaning business. Our company, Conscious Clean, is integrating the utilization of hybrids in our modest, yet growing fleet. Many of our clients are minded individuals , it seemed as though it could have been a win win local business relationship.

Alas, I am going to have to go with another dealership. My impression is that this dealership is more interested in exploiting individuals that they can make finance charges off and less interested in working with other local business owners that in theory would be great marketing for them. My husband and I have been here since 1985 and 1986. We attended high school and college here in Saint Augustine. We have seen many carpetbaggers come and go. I really thought this dealership was different.

Typically, I would not put so much into a simple review , but if you are fortunate enough to not need to get gouged on financing , and are looking to develop a lucrative , loyalty based business relationship with a dealership (particularly if you are a woman, "sweetheart") don't waste your time
