Dr. McClaren at Cascade played a key role in my recovery from my accident in August. I was rear-ended, sandwiched in between two cars. I hit my face hard on the steering wheel and the whole left side of my face and neck were in pain. At work, I couldn't sit or stand for very long without needing to get up and move around. This was a big problem since I'm in customer service and need to stay in one place. Dr. McClaren suggested a sit-to-stand workstation, which my employer implemented. It really helped me. It even caught on at work and other people got sit-to-stands too. Dr. McClaren is easy to talk to and down-to-earth. I could ask him anything and he never made me feel stupid or rushed me, even if he had other patients. He sets the tone for the whole office. They were always very understanding of my work schedule changing and never made me feel bad. It was what I needed, as it was enough stress to be in the accident. I had an especially tough case, because I had scoliosis and I'd been in other car accidents. But through the traction, exercises, and physical therapy, I am back to how I was before the accident.

I went to see Dr. McClaren after my neck and back got injured in a car accident. I was very anxious because I have never gotten chiropractic treatment before. He understood that and was very specific about explaining exactly how my injuries occurred, and how the treatments he was choosing for me were addressing the cause of the symptoms. The whole process took about four months, and I'm amazed that now I seem to have a better range of motion than I did even before the accident.

After my car accident, I had been seeking treatment through conventional means, but nothing was really getting results. I had never been to a chiropractor before, and tried Dr. McClaren. Before anything else, he thoroughly examined me and took fresh x-rays. He noticed something going on in a certain area of my spine, and had me get an MRI. The MRI revealed a fracture in my L1 vertebra. He conducted treatments from October 2013 which were completed in April 2014. Dr. McClaren's treatments involved subtle adjustments to my lower back and hips, along with specific, light exercises. Because of his help, I'm fully functioning again and pain-free.
