RUN- RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN!!!!

Absolutely positively the worst customer service ever! Nobody EVER returns phone calls or emails. Not only did my daughter and I have to help one of the movers load our stuff at origin (they only sent 1 guy and he showed up at 630pm to a storage unit that had no lights and closed at 7pm), but now that the stuff was delivered- we have some damage, a few missing items, and some issues to discuss and I cannot get anybody to contact me regarding filing a claim. We went with United because we had used United before (albeit a different franchise- and they were amazing) and we expected the same type of service given the name United. Boy, were we wrong! Biggest mistake I ever made was trusting them. Take my advice and run fast and far away from this business.

Update: I wrote that on 11/24/16. Once it posted on Yelp, I received an IMMEDIATE call back, asking me to take the review down. They promised they would work with me. They provided me with the information to file a claim with their third party company. I removed the review and filed the claim for damages to furniture, damage to our hardwood floor in our brand new house we had custom built (they used a Sharpie to cover the scratches they made!), and missing items. It took the claims company 3 months to get back to us. Their offer? $24. Yes, TWENTY-FOUR dollars. Our loss was at least $2000. I called United and spoke with the representative who had promised to work with me. She was shocked at their offer and swore she would talk to her management at United and see what they could come up with. She promised to call me back. Almost two weeks later, I called her. She was "unavailable". I left a message to call me back within 24 hours. It has been 72 hours- still no call back.

Here's the deal. If you choose to use them even after reading this review, do NOT sign any paperwork when your stuff is delivered until you have had a chance to go through every single box and insure everything is accounted for and there is no damage. If this requires them to find a hotel room for six months while you open every box and unpack everything- so be it. Just DO NOT SIGN. Once you sign- you are saying you received everything. The mover who moved us assured that I was only signing that they delivered our stuff. He said if there was any issues down the road, I could file a claim. Well- I did that- and received an offer of $24. We are consulting an attorney about filing a lawsuit against them.

The biggest mistake I have ever made in my life is hiring United Transportation and Moving Company.

Extremely disappointed from this company

I should give them a minus 5 stars. The Delivery has been a nightmare, dealing with the insurance company something much worst

Ill recommend you to find a more expensive moving company, I was trying not to spend too much money in the moving but at the end I need to buy all my damage or last articles again

Some of my belongings were lost and some other were damaged by the Oleg (the person in charge of the delivery)

If you are moving near the east coast, avoid at all cost Olegs crew.
Oleg will ask you for more money to handle your things and If you refuse to pay more, this crew will lost and damage your belongings.

Dealing with the insurance company is another nightmare. I estimate the total value of the damage and lost belonging in $1,800. The company says they will cover only 198 dollars be careful with this: they will pay 60% of the total weight damaged, not the cost. If you have a mattress that cost you $800.oo they will pay you 60 cents per Lb, this means you will get only $30 for something that cost you $800.00

Yes, Barbara the sales person is super nice but that useless if you want to receive all your belongings in the same conditions you ship them.
