.

Netfloor flew out to my jobsite (their rep was already here) because of some issues with the floor. They came prepared: laser level, bubble level, square, everything. They found the problem with the access floor alright: The entire building had shifted several inches in one corner, from the time they poured the slab until the interior upfit was almost done.

We called them with a pretty bad attitude because some employees were saying there was a problem with the raised floor. They never got mad or anything, but apologized and said they would make it right.

They show up with their equipment and went to work. 5 Hours later, they pull a few of us to the side and ask for a meeting. They said they felt they found the issue, but did not want to give anyone their findings unless everyone was there and didn't want to surprise anyone. So we waited until the next day, when the architect and general contractor could be there. Netfloor was very, very professional and that's saying a lot, because they got blamed big time for what went wrong. They were very careful not to lay blame on anyone, but to just show their findings, and started offering some ideas on how to fix it.

It turns out it was the architect and civil engineer's fault, but it was ultimately traced back to a bad geo survey a year prior to groundbreaking. Basically different types of soil from one end of the building to the other caused different settling rates and a crooked building.

I was shocked really at how professional they were. Any other company would have either thrown in the towel or gotten really defensive. I found out later that the company founder has worked in construction for a LONG time, and her first project was on a twin-reactor nuclear power plant for 6 years. Apparently she has ingrained professionalism in her employees, because they were spot on. Perfectly done.
